The pope inheriting 20% of france here is kinda scary, but reminds me of the absolute horror I encountered with my friends as we were waiting for the pope to call a crusade. We wanted him to do this so we could re-route it into the mongol horde cause the Khan was going way too wild and due to reach us in the Slavic states. I clicked on him while talking about him being lazy to remind myself of his name and saw that he had a Liege on his profile. that Liege was Genghis Khan. Turns out Georgia gave the pope a county at some point and the pope got bullied into joining the Mongol horde because the pope "shared a border" with the mongols. Absolutely Terrified us lol

Table of Princes is pretty good when your house is small, but once you start growing the numbers it becomes a pain in the ass very quickly. I had a new king almost weekly for a while there because the heirs were all in their 90's and 80's and there were like dozens of old ass dudes in my family. Plus when family members end up on the thrones of foreign lands and don't make cadet houses, you've gotta give away the land again and again to keep playing tall. That said, once you get absolute crown authority is when table of princes shines, since you can designate your heir it basically becomes primogeniture unless you die unexpectedly and forget to designate. Bohemia is like my favorite pizza place, occasionally I'll branch out and try a new place, but I always end up back at Bohemia.

A tip, if you make your steward your best friend he will be better at doing his councilor tasks. Meaning he can increase development quicker. You can friend him easily through the befriend intent of a hunt or a feast. Having a friend as your steward all the time really makes a difference in the long run.

Great video, i love playing as czechs and the best thing is, that when you get the table of princes and implement its succession, so that all titles are inherited by one person and then you also get the absolute crown authority, meaning you can choose your own heir amongs your chilrdren, you efectively recreate the promogeniture/ultimogeniture succession laws like 200 years earlier than normal, its broken and i love it

I did an Austria game that annexed Bohemia. You have to tech a while and help your liege expand to meet the requirements for the HRE. I think my game got updated while I was doing this, because the AI wouldn't it for a while, then the patch came out and he did. But once you have the tech and your liege is hre you can become the Arch Duchy of Austria which has primogeniture. Also because dukes have no duchy limit, and if you're rich you can build all the duchy buildings. You can get quite strong as a mega duke with ten duchy capitals and ten special buildings. All you troops stationed in high bonus counties, every mine county in a high bonus money duchy.

I remember playing as the czechs and thinking why does the HRE control Jerusalem, that's kind of funny. Then I noticed that it wasn't just any HRE vassal, it was me. I won the crusade and put a sick man on the throne who set it to house seniority. I decided to try to find as many marriages that would inherit titles into my realm that I could. It only worked so well, but I also got Novgorod that way.

A way to keep your tall playthrough interesting (and stack up renown) is to conquer lands and then grant them to your family. Just be careful though because if they get too powerful they can take your place as the dynasty head and choosing the wrong legacies, so be sure to keep them in czech. Dynasty head is determined by military strength, so the strongest military can be achieved via a few ways: choosing buildings that give you extra levies and men at arms, choosing traditions to get you more man at arms, or by purely focusing on gold income and when one of your dynasty manages to get ahead of you, buy a bunch of mercenaries and remind them of their place (make sure you don't give them kingdoms beyond your reach, for instance if you're playing in italy and you get jerusalem for one of your family members, you won't be able to reach them and thus cannot declare war on them)

A tip if you do wish to continue, you can swap religions to Lollardy for Lay Clergy (or just reform into it, but swapping is probably cheaper) and stack building cost reduction on church buildings, as well as reform into megalithic buildings for a true "Peter the Rock" and Stone playthrough. The development boosts are nutty.

Bohemia has 3 farmlands in its capital. Access to 2 special building and some of the highest number of baronies in the game. It's very strong to play tall you can easily eclipse even the HRE or Byzantine empires

Hello Koifish! I've recently stumbled upon a nice start in ck3 and would love to see you try it! I started as a count in auvergne 876, and rerolled until I got learning on the caracter. With that, I steamrolled to either theologian or scholar in the learning skill tree, and upon reaching that, a event pops up, that lets you form the adaptism religion which is basically a cult or sect, whatever you want to call it. You can go a bunch of different routes from there like conquering the holy site in Lyon so that you can become the head of faith, or just conquer the duchies that you have claims on, because you are of house Gellones. I dont believe that you have done this start so hope you see this comment and perhaps give it a try. :)

As someone who usually plays as a femape ruler, you can easily have 10+ kids. I usually marry at ~30 and still have quite a few heirs to choose from. Once had twelve kids as an infertile woman, so, well... you just get used to being pregnant half of the time. When I give birth while commanding an army I sometimes give my children names connected with the places/battles where they were born :D

Mr Koi, noooo, Kutná Hora was a source of silver, not gold! (Although one can certainly be exchanged for the other!) Also, Přemysl, the mythical founder of the dynasty, was no king. Vratislav II (as Duke) and I (as King) was the first to obtain the title King of Bohemia in 1085, and even then it was not yet hereditary. A hereditary royal title in Bohemia was only created by the end of the 12th century.
