Verina's backstory also hits hard, there's a dialogue in Somnoire when you chose Verina for the companion, it tells a dream where Verina was celebrating her birthday alone with 2 teddy bears, named "Daddy" and "Mommy". Then you decided to approach her and she's so happy and excitedly gives you a slice of cake, she also said that this could be a gift where she doesn't have to celebrate her birthday alone anymore, at the same time the TV near the room kept repeating the same news over and over again "Today, an infamous explorer couple went missing..." You can also check Aalto's relation to Verina, saying that she made a deal with him to find her parents, Aalto rejected the deal because apparently Verina don't have what he was asking and that is a never-withering flower.

No, but fr- that's so true. While some of the previous companion quests were sad & depressing, Encore's was straight up HEARTBREAKING. I think this is the only companion quest that actually made me cry. Peak writing 👏🏻✨️

For me, I think the line "But there was no Encore" hit me the hardest. I guess I never expected there to be such a sad twist to why that's her name, but still hopeful in its own right. It's interesting seeing this quest again, it definitely made me a bit emotional the first time, but this second time cut deeper. Life stuff, y'know, but I'm glad it ends off on a nice note, I didn't realize how much I needed that. Stay safe, everyone

@@erluq9309 a story which simpleness doesn't mean it's bad writing , the introduction to conclusion depends how the story well written. I think the introduction and conclusion are so good that it stand as peak in writing. There I know it doesn't has good peaks but it is peak overall.

It's so sad seeing our parents aging, but you still have them to tell them how much you love them. My dad passed away one day like any other. Didn't have the chance to say goodbye or hug him one last time. It's been 10 years and it still feels surreal. This quest also made me think about my mom like you do for your dad. I enjoyed your video, I felt like I was not alone with the pain. 💛

encore story made me feel kid again like especially in her kingdom wooly the music there is soothing, remembering all my old days 12yrs or 14yrs playin with friend, building a small house using a dirt, collecting rocks and use it for longest water trail idk if yo gets, and stories, such impact and most importantly I did miss mom. 😁

I found myself a new test of humanity. My previous test was showing Coco to someone, if they didn't cry, they have no soul. This is a new one. When I first jumped into this game I did NOT expect the playful pink-haired loli of all things to be the one to play my heartstrings like a violin.

This game with encore story teach us two things important in life. 1. Value your time with loved ones. We don't know when we say goodbye to them forever. 2. Even if our loved ones are already gone/passed away, they still live inside us. Watching us over from heaven. Try closing your eyes and imagine them in front of us. It can help us go through hard times a little bit. They are physically not there but feelings and memories of them living forever in our soul.

The more realistic the story, the harder it hits. I only realized it after playing this quest and watching Dandadan's ep 7. Both have something to do with parenthood. Encore's quest made me tear up but damn Dandadan was another level. Made me bawl like a child

i experienced the same thing actually haha. I had like 10 tissues for encore but i had 40 TISSUES for dandadan. Encore's story was probably my first time crying at a video game. Not much video games invoke that emotion within me. Anime I have cried alot more since I love that type of story telling oppose to video game story telling. Anything mom related makes me sad lol.
