One of the sweetest, most emotional reactions to this beautiful song. "His voice!", "His hair!", & "I was NOT expecting that!" ---- words echoed by pretty much everyone, male or female, for many of Dan's songs over the years. A large number of us only recently discovered him as a result of this unbelievably moving version of this timeless hymn. It was only the beginning of a journey through everything that he's done in the past (Adeste Fidelis, Nessum Dorma, Hallelujah Chorus, Phantom of the Opera, Kiss From a Rose duet, Scarborough Fair, Dawn of Victory, etc) and preparing us for current works (O Holy Night, Beauty and the Beast duet w/Minniva, & My Heart Will Go On metal version). There is no one category in which to fit Dan. He is who he is and we love his versatility, voice, charm, wit, etc. God did a good job on this man in every way... then Dan took the gifts given and worked hard continually crafting them into the ever expanding artist he has become. I can usually find something he's done to fit anyone's tastes as an introduction. He is truly Dantastic, as some have said.

I felt this reaction in my entire soul. This song saved my life. I was in a dark place and fate made this appear as a suggestion for me to watch. I hadn't sobbed that hard in a while. Dan made me feel less alone in this world, and that I'm not alone in trying my best everyday as flawed human being. I'm not religious, but it felt like God hugged my heart. I am an 87 year old, strong Christian woman who is also a soloist and have sung at over 300 funerals. I have sung this song over and over and I absolutely love singing it every time. But this rendition from Dan Vasc is so amazing it is just, unbelievable and this is the exact song I want him to sing at my funeral as everyone is sitting and listening to this version of it. Since you asked for other Dan Vasc recommendations, I would suggest giving a listen to his cover of "My Immortal" and his metal version of "Angels We Have Heard on High" because they show off both his vocal abilities and his diverse taste in music. Hi Jem, thank you for your reaction to Dan's song, Amazing Grace. Dan has been classically voice trained, he can sing any type of song. He has videos of him singing Phantom of the Opera, Nessum Dorma. Has videos of him singing other religious & Christmas songs like Adeste Fidles, Angels We Have Heard On High. He has sung songs from television shows & movies. My favourite is Burn Butcher Burn, Toss a Coin To The Witcher, Call of the White Wolf, all songs from The Witcher series, movie and game. His version of I'll Make A Man Out Of You, from the movie Mulan is awesome. His band is called Fearless, his brother is one of the guitarists in the band. They meet on special occassions to play, and some of the songs they have sung are songs that Dan has written and composed. He has done most of this on his own videos: All instruments and vocals arranged and recorded by Dan Vasc, Produced and mixed by Dan Vasc. Dan is Brazilian and he is totally awesome. Love you Jem. Will join your family. Dan is Brazilian and his mother was an Opera singer. His Italian father passed from cancer several years ago n the harmonica was his. I've listened to this so many times. Never gets old. You need to see O Holy Night n Hallelujah by him.

I first heard Dan Vosc two days ago, Sounds of Silence. The second Dan Vosc video I watched was Amazing Grace. I had pretty much the same reaction as you! For the last two days, all I listen to are Dan videos... he is now my favorite singer/musician... but I keep coming back to this song, over and over and over again. This is THE BEST rendition of Amazing Grace ever.
