I will never not notice how vulnerable Ren allows himself to be when performing with Chinchilla. When they lock eyes it gives me chills. The emotion is real.

💯 percent!! During this one & esp in “how to be me” they take a deep journey together and you can see how safe they feel facing eachother w just their voices & a guitar. It’s amazing!! I love chinchilla live- how she weaves the music w her claws and how her and Ren each hold space for the other during the performance. I can’t wait to see more collabs from them!! These are my go to videos when I need to silence the noise in my mind & just get back into the moment ♥️

Some people are doing 6+ hours of Ren livestream, so doing all the chapters in one go is not out of the question. I suggest you do all 8 chapters in one sitting (so that the previous chapter’s storey stays fresh going into the next one) but split them up and post them up separately as 8 separate posts, every day or two, to help with your channel view counts. If you want to cry happy tears, I suggest you watch (you don’t have to react to it) the short clip of Ren and his friend’s reaction when they found out his album reached number one. Many have said never have they felt so emotional, proud and happy for someone they’ve never met before.

I struggle on what to say about this reaction to Chalk Outlines. I have seen many, many reactions to this masterpiece as well as Ren's other art/masterpieces @RenMakesMusic . Ren is not only an artist but should be considered a Bard of our lifetime. His songs/videos transcend any artist of today. I will say that your reaction and emotion, even held in check, to this masterpiece is the most genuine that I have ever seen by a man that I have ever seen a reaction to. It conveys the understanding of how we do things that make us be a walking chalk outline that is symbolic of being a dead person surrounded by a chalk outline such as would be done at a crime scene. Your raw and true emotional response, even held in check by societal expectation that men should never express sad and vulnerable emotions, is inspiring especially since in society, men "should not and must not" convey emotional pain or, heaven forbid, cry - it is okay for a man to do so as much as it is okay for a woman but society has forbidden a man to do so publically. It is very clear that you have had some experience(s) that is relatable and deeply personal to you and you have been effected by this experience and yet I see that you try to suppress it as many and most men are taught to do so, expressed in the lyrics when it says to put on a smile. It is seen in every moment by your genuine facial expression, mouth movements, swallowing, eye movements, emotes, body language, breathing, sighing, vocal breaks, clearing of your throat, neck position, head movements, Adam's apple movements, eye brow movements, facial lip covering, nasal flaring, shoulder tension, venous pulses in you external jugular veins, etc. to show that you are genuinely feeling true and genuine emotions. Understand, that I am not trying to analyze all your body language but understand that you are truly conveying a natural reaction even while holding back on somethings even such as tears. I thank you for showing your emotions (even with the suppression inherently taught against masculinity). Thank you for a genuine response from a man to this masterpiece which Ren the Bard does in all of his work. I am subscribing to you as a new fan.

A lot of this I believe is for those like Rens story- medicine so advanced, but so far clueless on so much as fat as treatments a d then mgmts and hopefully cures. Lymes disease is not something you hear daily or even at all. So this is not through a fault of the person with these hidden undiagnosed diseases with symptoms so debilitating- that mimic so many other conditions. And sounding like they have gone mental because medicine is scrambling to slap a title o n everyone at least etc etc. Heartbreaking. Our search engines should expand more now a days I believe. Hey, I was a medical assistant for 35 yrs and prior computerization even. I seen both sides in medical offices. That's all I can say. Just needs to advance more..

You nailed it when you said the amount of depth, emotion, messages and authenticity in REN’s music leaves other music as shallow. They may be great songs but they do not evoke the kind of emotion that connects with us. The reason I am addicted to RENs reaction community is because we get to experience the emotions we feel again and again. Everyone is so kind and supportive which seems so rare in this social media period of time. Vulnerability is what connects. Keep up the amazing reactions (Australia)

Ren does not allow us to abandon ourselves to our depression, despair, loneliness!... With his music he provokes us and forces us to become aware of how we feel and how we are certainly not alone in these problems. It makes us feel that many others could also be like this... and that is, in itself, a huge help... by becoming aware of this we become aware of what and how we feel about ourselves, the world and others. He awakens us with his songs. And that is a gift because it immediately lifts us out of the torpor into which we so easily fall if we find ourselves in these circumstances or state!... Try "Dominoes"! And thanks for the reaction.

I know you've been welcomed to the RENiverse many times. You, sir, are among the special ones whose life has been profoundly changed-there's no going back. While many reactors recognize Ren as a remarkable artist, for some, he’s just one of many they react to before moving on. But for others, Ren's music resonates on a much deeper, profoundly intimate level. His songs feel like conversations with a close friend-raw, honest, and cathartic. It’s this rare ability to touch the core of human experience that makes his artistry so impactful. Ren's willingness to bare his soul fosters an authentic connection, allowing us to relate to his music on a deeply personal level. Through his lyrics, he captures the nuances of life in ways that make us feel seen, understood, and, most importantly, not alone. You are now a proud RENEGADE!

We get it. It’s music for the soul, doesn’t need a lot of production just authenticity and skill at voicing it. These two have bucketloads. Lots of other music now seems shallow to me now. We’ve all been starved of this kind of music for too long.
@LiannaBabeliАй бұрын
100% this, so few artists really resonate at all with me anymore. It really is true: there is before Ren and after Ren, and once you've found Ren and truly connected... NOTHING is the same ever again. Even some of my favorite artists now feel... hollow and less deep than they used to. They are still very enjoyable, but I can feel a lack of... depth and intimacy and connection to them as I once did. I FEEL the 'commercialness' to them and it really is sad.

❤❤❤ This one is powerful and beautiful. Rens music often touches our souls or is relatable. Chinchilla is his Sister from another Mister or his musical sibling as he calls her. Their song "How to be me" is a must. A new collab is coming on the new album too; exciting! You must react to Chinchilla too - so good. Regarding the chapters. RENegades will watch long videos. Some do not have the time, of course. You could watch all at once and then release the reaction in 2 parts or something. It is an emotional roller coaster - his story is crazy.
@ThereWasATimeАй бұрын
I absolutely agree, most of us Renegades will watch long vids, but most of us already know these vids from Ren. Hey man, great reaction 👍❤ Regarding the chapters, I would say that each one is an emotional challenge. I experienced you as a very empathetic person. I would therefore advise you not to do all the chapters one after the other. Do the first one and see how you feel. And then proceed as you feel comfortable handling it. I've seen Reactors who needed time to recover between the chapters, and I can totally understand that. The chapters are very personal and emotional stuff. At least for me it was not easy to process. Incredible reaction man! Such a good song and message! I love how RENs music just clicks with you! You really get it and do an amazing job articulating your thoughts. These reactions have been an absolute pleasure to watch man. I really appreciate what you’re doing. There are so many good ones you have yet to hear! FRED AGAIN MASHUP is one of my favs! It’s so intimate, just Ren and his guitar singing a cover mashup done in true Ren fashion making it his own. It’s incredible the emotion he delivers in less than 10 words! You’ll see! It’s incredible! Also, fun fact, the scene you see in that video is the same scene he filmed the chapters! As for the chapters, just a warning, they are heavy! It’s an incredible story and each will leave you wanting to know what comes next… but it’s heavy and will take a toll on you emotionally. If you do them all at one time you could release them for 8 days consecutively or all at once. We will be here to support you. There are songs at the end of most of the chapters so it’s the spoken part, then finish with a song from that time. Then the song troubles live and acoustic is like a summary of all 8 chapters and may fit well following the chapters.

I’ve heard this 120 times and I tear up every time. They do another collab called “How to be Me” another tear jerker. (They also do some busking together). She also has her own catalogue just as deep and quality. If you do check out her stuff separately, start with “Little Girl Gone” official video and then “Fingers” live video. Wow! As for the 8 chapters; I couldn’t imagine doing that straight through. You’d be the first so maybe that’s its own triumph. But most of them will have you tearing up but the content is so excellent. And, as always, when you wanna do some lighter and solid content, try the love music series of 4 (first 2 don’t have videos and the last 2 are lyric vids). Total bangers and optimistic and way fun and raunchy. Very saucy. Keep reacting. You’re killing it.

I found Ren a year ago and he was all I listened to until I heard this song… Chinchilla is amazing as well! I now have 2 very long playlists by both artist and honestly right now they are all I ever play… that could also just be my adhd, I find something I like and I’m stuck to those artists, movies, or shows for life 🙃

Yes! Shallow music is for children and picnics. Everyone watching this with you gets it. We experience the music together and I cant get enough of Authentic Reactions! I always like and comment, already subscribed. Ready For You is great too. And don't sleep on Chinchilla! Check out Chinchilla Fingers LIVE version for Hunger TV. (Not the reg video) Much love ❤️ Sue

The reactor’s curse: You chance upon an honest artist who writes and sings from their heart and soul. Their performances elicit amazing emotions from their audience. It changes their lives and how they hear music. But inevitably you have to listen and critique all of the phonies and wanna-bes that are hyped and pushed on the masses by the “star-making machine.” Only then do you truly see how fake and soulless the crap that we are forced fed really is. Then the reactor is faced with the dilemma; do you react honestly and admit that 95% is useless phony crap? How do you react and post the average (or worse)? Or do you confine yourself to the amazing 5% of unicorns that are out there waiting to be discovered and shared? An unenviable situation to navigate. Thank you for listening and posting your experience discovering a generational artist like Ren! He is a treasure.

Thank you for dropping a Ren video almost every day. Nice treat to watch while having my coffee. 2 hour reaction video? I’ve got time…. Be ready though… I cried my eyes out watching those. Just thinking of them makes me tear up. Even though we know there was a mostly happy outcome, they are brutal. After a sad song, you need a fun one. I’ll keep putting my vote in for murderer. 🔥❤️

Thank you for being vulnerable during your reaction. This is my favorite song of Ren’s. I listen to it almost every day. They are such an impressive duo that compliment each other perfectly. Like many say, there’s life before Ren and a better life after Ren. It’s amazing to me how much his Art impacts people all over the world. I’m enjoying the fact I get to participate through your journey and look forward to more.

Great reaction, thank-you. Chinny is a force of nature - you’ll enjoy going down that rabbit hole too - trust me!! Suggestion for you (different than others have mentioned).. the chapters are very personal and honestly I think best watched alone bc of how they impact each person so differently.. just my opinion! And.. I would like to suggest that you consider reacting to Mackay. You mentioned that there are ‘no words’ for this kind of music.. wait until you react to ‘no words’.. and still feel it to your bones!!

This song always makes me cry. Good on you for watching Ren blind (not knowing the song). This is one of my favorites (though most of his song are great!)

Thank you for your honesty. Ren has touched us all. Its wierd but there really is a time before and after you discover Ren. Chinchilla wears the rings as a form of protection, as her costume for being able to sing her truth. She has struggled with stage fright and her tunes are fierce. There are lots of really long videos of Ren and his fans will watch them. Some people split the chapters in 2. Most of them have a song in them so you will wind up doing more song reactions and not just Ren talking. Glad to here you want to do them so soon into the rabbit hole, they will stick with you, Ren has experienced alot. Loving your reactions ❤
