Good advice, James, thanks! It still surprises me how often I'm so taken with part of an image that I don't notice how much of the rest is superfluous, which means a lot of cropping afterwards! Far better to realize it at the time, reframe, change lenses and capture a better image! Love the Grand Canyon; I've been there a half dozen times, and never run out of subjects - nor of awe. It's the most deafening silence I've ever heard.
