@@Kernee I’m based in the UK so i used a EU based matte black spray paint from amazon. What is important in this process is that when you strip the portal down it has to be sanded down using a higher grit. I recommend starting at 1200 and then gradually get down to around 700. Once that is done get a filler primer spay and paint a layer of primer and sand the layer down using a 100 grit sanding paper. Repeat the process 3 times till you get a really smooth finish with no imperfections.. Next stage is any matte black spray paint. Make sure you get your angles right and keep the distance away so it gets even coating. 3 layers of paint and final part is to apply matte clear coat ( spray can off amazon too) finish. Thats how i painted my ps5 plates and the sony charging dock..

I know this is an older video but +1 on how you modified the buttons to fit the portal! I got some PS5 controller buttons and want to swap them but they don't quite fit and I'm not sure best way to trim the plastic so that they'll fit

Looks better than what is on the market right now. I do think the black buttons on white frame makes the device pop out more than white on white. For the tablet part you may need to use a heat gun and hope for the best. That will take a good bit of time depending on how far they glued it.

Great mod, love the matt buttons and colors (very classic look) Just swapt the white with the black dual sense buttons, but your mod looks even better, maby have to swap again 😅

Ok so after a lot of Different button fitting and trimming from ps2 to ps5 I found the ps5 buttons to fit the best. The only problem was the retro buttons were not available to buy for ps5 controller with that deep depth glossy look that is until today! AliExpress has them now available to buy as 30th anniversary buttons just grabbed myself 2 full sets d-pad and action buttons. I did get some off eBay but more expensive and are ps4 buttons that are trimmed not sure where he got them from but they don’t have the “o” button slant like the OG ones. 8 quid shipped. eBay was like 11 shipped

I'd love to see if you could get into it maybe even remove the portal system itself and put something different in. It's a stretch but might work...plus different covers instead of the stock white, maybe like the black ones for the dual sense controllers

Amazing work on that video and great job documenting versus a Dualsense! I didn't dare go all the way when popping out the plastic tab but I guess it is incredibly similar to opening a Dualsense after all. Edit: Love the mod by the way, it does make it look better I find!
