I spent 5 years growing my hair down to my tailbone and got it cut to shoulder length back in 2020. Having long hair was super fun and felt great to have, but I found that shorter hair is definetly easier to maintain. Your new cut looks super cute!

​@@user-vm9tl2xu5t So my hair growth journey started in 2015 and lasted all the way to 2018/2019. I started from above shoulder-length hair (I'm 5'2). I got regular haircuts once in a while which took off a bit of length, but I reached tailbone length eventually.

100%!! My hair was and is such a huge part of my identity, it's kind of part of the reason for the cut. It gave me so much confidence and security, but it was time for a change. It's definitely crucial to wait until you're ready before chopping it haha

I'm about to cut my hair too after I turned 20 next month. I started my hair journey on 2020 when the quarantine happening and everyone just massively cutting their hair until I saw a video about someone cutting her hair to donate it and I thought it was super cool and decided that I wanna do that too. You and holistichabits are the first recommendations when I searched on how to grow long and healthy hair. My hair was super frizzy since I didn't know how to take care of it but now it's super sleek and shiny. A blunt short bob i think would look really nice on you especially since you have straight hair. I’ve been growing my hair for 2 1/2 years and it’s down to my waist and my goal is tail bone length. I’ve personally went through a lot of self growth during these two years so my hair is like my personal representation of how I overcame difficult moments and how I began to love myself much more and appreciate myself more. I would like if your cut was shorter and more blunt but you look pretty either way and I’m just glad that you are excited to start a new journey!

My hair was to my butt and insanely thick. Went and got it cut into a pixie cut on Monday …like I think the absolute longest part is 3 inches long and other parts are shorter. Cried about it for like 3 days and was really depressed but I’m starting to feel better about it now 😅

Wow! I can't believe you went through the, "Big Chop!" and cut off all of that beautiful long hair that you had! I do love your new haircut but like you've said it's just hair. If you want to let it grow back out again you can. You just naturally have a beautiful head of dark hair! :) And, I have really enjoyed following your haircare tips on how to grow it long. Even though I've had long hair before in my life since I was a kid. Throughout my life I've cut my hair and let it grow back out. But I'm a longhairlover. I haven't reached my long-term goal of either mid-thigh length or ankle length yet, amd when I do I've decided to keep it that long for the rest of my life! Because, since my hair has never been that long before. Or, even as long as hip or tailbone length I don't ever want to cut my hair again.

I just came from your hair growth journey video! You really came a long way. Your hair was and is gorgeous. 😇 The whole video I was trying to figure out why your face looks so familiar...I realized that after the cut you resemble the Brazilian actress Morena Baccarin. I'm a guy but I've always loved the way long hair looks on me so I began my hair journey back in 2019 by cutting of my shoulder legnth honey blonde locs. I cut my hair completely off down to the scalp and pledged to start over, free of bleach or hair color. I was already using sulfate free and color safe products. I wanted my hair to be straight so I opted for Japanese Hair Straightening and got that done after 1 year and 5 months of growing my hair. Never looked back and aside from a very very minor setback (a bit of breakage from one time I unintelligently decided to pass a flatiron 5 times on a perticular unprocessed part of my hair), I've been good. Lol never again but I love my hair now. My goal is to get to Waist legnth...I really don't see myself going longer but I might go above the hips by 3-4 inches maybe. 🤔 In your hair video about your journey, you mentioned that your hair is dark at the top and light at the bottom. Mine does the same thing, it's dark brown (near black) at the roots +3 inches down, then it slowly gets lighter to a reddish golden shade of brown. It really shows up bright in sunlight. I really didn't mind at first but I'm starting to feel like it might get lighter. I really would love jet black hair with no undertone (deep rich black with only a white shine/sheen) but I wouldn't dye it like that. I might use a temporary dye if anything--like those hair masque that have a color staining ability. Anyway I have enjoyed this video a lot. Hope all is well! ☺️
