In this episode we fit up some barwork finally to the GU Patrol, but first we had to complete a quarter chop! Very happy with this setup so far and to be carrying a spare wheel is huge! Hope you guys like the rear bar setup!! Cheers

Best designed rear bars for offroad in terms of toughness and clearance. Had on on my old GU but made by a mob from Beenleigh called Patrol Customs, not sure if they are around still though. Good job with the fit up 👌

Mate, I love this patrol, its bloody amazing, I have a suggestion, you could maybe run a bar from the rear bar, to the sliders, just for a little bit more protection, and it just looks better, especially once u get a bull bar and bush bars/ side bars (whatever you want to call them) love the content man, keep going, good to see another Aussie on KZbin, especially a four wheel driver.

Great video , and a nice 'light weight bar' install, I love pipe work bumpers in general. Will have to fit one of these to my Y61 eventually. I think a steely on the spare makes more sense as my DT2 dirty life rim on my factory spare in seriously heavy just with 285's LOL , maybe steely is the way to go for spare in future. All in all u did a tidy job mate. 🙂Love the pup , he has a great puzzled look in general LOL.

Looks mint, the rear bar looks similar to the tidy fab one. Also led autolamps and another company make very slim (8mm in height) stop/tail/indicator combo lamp which would suit the rear I reckon.

Where was this video when I fitted my bar 😂 Good to see you had the same troubles. I do recommend putting a hole in the quarter plate of the bar so the rocks and mud have a way out 🤙

Great good mate. The minticle continues. Make sure you paint the inside of the infill panels then fill ot eith fish oil. Itll rust from the inside out if you dont treat the internal welded steel. Cheers bud

Should make a bracket to connect the swing away to the barn door, makes life easier so you only have to open the doors to get into the boot. Trust me, the swing away will get old real quick if you have to open it every time you want to get in the back, been there done that. Vids are sick btw 🤙

You should do some seam sealing, undercoating and cavity wax on the inside of those cavities after the quarter chop otherwise in a few years you might start getting rust come through from the inside.

Use some 2k enamel paint from a shop and spray through a cheap gun! Much better results and looks better than raptor!!

Not necessarily increasing your overall ground clearance...as stated - "look how much ground clearance we just gained".
