Have to play SA on tour though. It’s possible but would be very hard. Even the GS will be tough to win but again very possible. This Ruarai lad was going on about Snyman should be going to Connacht last time I saw him on though so I don’t think I’ll put too much stock into what he says.

Why is that? Firstly, the team has never made such a statement, so it's important not to confuse the remarks of reporters with the official stance of the team. Secondly, Ireland have won against South Africa in the last three encounters and five out of the last seven. Thirdly, the World Cup is a singular competition, and it's highly unlikely that Ireland is concerned about SA; in fact, the fact that SA won the World Cup might motivate Ireland to elevate their performance. The key here is not to underestimate the possibility of SA losing. Any avid rugby fan recognizes that outcomes can swing in either direction. Considering the circumstances, it's not outlandish to contemplate the idea that Ireland could secure two consecutive victories. What's truly unrealistic is dismissing the notion that Ireland could achieve such a feat. Its also important to note that SA had a 62% win ration between 2019 WC and the 2023 WC compared to Irelands 81.4%.

When I say that we won’t lose to Ireland, I don’t mean that Ireland aren’t good, what I mean by that is that the WORLD CHAMPIONS will not allow that. Boks fans are hilarious, what a massive chip on their shoulder, clearly really got to them, in the game billed as No 1 v World Champions, Ireland were the victors, I've read hundreds of excuses about that gameand it clearly annoyed the boks so much even winning the trophy feels a hollow victory. Ireland have beaten SA 3 times on the trot, its a much better team 2016, which is the last time SA won. Keep on hearing from boks fans that only WC games matter, so if Ireland lose in July, it doesn't matter as its not in the WC, lets see what happens if SA manage to scrape a victory I guarantee the comments will be crammed full of gloating about beating Ireland, and if Ireland win, it doesn't matter as its not a WC game, just hilarious but slightly annoying.
