Woof on the Wander. Would have been such a cool card 6 months ago. I love seeing your growing HOF Rookie auto collection. The Carlton is my favorite of the bunch, though the Boggs graded really really well. One day perhaps I'll outgrow my cheapness and get some of my stuff authenticated.

Sweet autos but I’m surprised that the Lonborg came back auth. and not the Edgar Martinez. I thought a JSA sticker would automatically get an auth. grade. Good to know that’s not the case. Thanks Mike

Hey Mike, nice return. My Shaq came back fake as well. Lately I’ve been sending my mid to lower grade vintage for HOF autos. Happy with that in lieu of a costly priced high grade card.

Didn't the Edgar Martinez have a JSA sticker on it, too? Unlike the Lonborg, that one got a card grade (which frankly surprised me, since the sticker alters the card)

I have autos on cards that have mlb authentication hologram stickers on them. Another grading company informed me they couldn’t grade them in case the sticker could have covered a blemish. They did say they could encapsulate them.

You seemed pretty excited for the Carlton to come back a 4/10. Given that you’re into the card for about $230(?) doesn’t that seem to be at best the going rate? It’s also hard to tell from the picture but the hole in the Cepeda card looks a lot more like a tack/push pin hole than a BB gun pellet.

I don’t understand the autograph grading. It’s either his legit autograph or it isn’t. I don’t know how they grade a signature. Awesome on the Lefty rookie. My favorite pitcher ever and second favorite Phillies player ever right behind Michael Jack!

Yeah it’s based on the quality of the ink and if it stayed on the card or went off and various other things

These are sweet cards! How much did the crossover cost for the Carlton rookie?

It was a lot! Like $40-50? Normal cost for these was around $25 per card but crossover dual grade is more.

On glossy cards you can remove sharpie with a qtip and some ipa.

That Had to get an authentic because JSA alters the cards. One of my absolute pet pieces. They think their authentication is more important than the card itself.

Great to see all those auto on old cards. I just don’t get how auto are not all 10’s from players who are still alive. Just bec it’s not line up right or too big or to small come on grading companies.

I submitted a dual card/auto submission to PSA for 4 Kirby Puckett on-card autographs last year. Two received 7 for the auto grade but the cards still look cool (cert #67405776 and cert #67405774)
