At the end of the day when you get the upper hand of a dangerous situation and victimize the other person or when you go outside and strike terror in other people hearts you can start being addicted to your own power. I think the moment you come across a man that handles potentially violent situations with his words without resorting to violence or losing integrity himself or violating the person he's talking to and you know that person had the power to use violence and didn't, It strikes another chord in you. Our culture has to get used to the concept of not even having to use force to get your respect and how that's actually a better look then busting heads open for it.

@leroygreen6310
@leroygreen6310 Жыл бұрын
@@earhustler08 Yeah and I get where he's coming from because if your brutally attacked after you heal up your natural defense in not to ever let that happen again and that of course makes for a more violent response to things. Its like this though the Italian and Irish mob use to put in so much work on each other that their neighborhoods were swimming in blood so at some point they had to figure out a more diplomatic way to squash beef. The samurai in Japan thought there is no squashing beef and that someone must die no matter what even if the argument is over a bowl of rice. The problem is they killed themselves so much that they didn't have the forces necessary to defend themselves from invading forces. I say all that to say Hip Hop just needs a better way to handle problems. It won't be perfect at first but after a while it'll become part of the culture to just agree to disagree without getting all upset about it to the degree of violence.

@@leroygreen6310 this here message needs to be Amplified... We need the voices of people with your perspective on the issues, amplified as much as possible.... There oughta be some kind of highly publicized community outreach podcast and or TV show set in a town hall format, where colored folks can legitimately discuss the issues in our society and proffer solutions...
