Hey brother, I was dealing with this too, I was struggling with pornography, LBGT/bisexuality and homosexuality even while I was in a relationship with God. I was commuting that same sin over and over again even after repentance and promise. I was trying to do it on my own.I was struggling for many many many years until Last month God free me from it he gave me the strength to keep me busy and keep me outside. I allow to let go and let God and it work. I stopped trying to do it on my own because I realize that I can’t strive for anything by trying to do it on my own.

I’ve been walking with God for two decades. I have been delivered from all sin, sometimes over and over and reached a point where I am pretty solid in walking in holiness and righteousness. But even so, now and then, maybe a few times a year, despite being happily abstinent for a decade, some awful dream will creep on me and inflame lust inside me. I hate it, it feels so defiling. But it’s a good reminder that this is a spiritual war and there are spiritual beings we can’t see and since sexual immorality is such a powerful tool of the enemy they wield it over us all. Sometimes just realizing that perhaps it isn’t you inflaming your own lust, perhaps there is some devil playing you on puppet strings and manipulating you, you can stop sinking into depression and giving up and get a little mad, get a little fight inside you. Also, in this war on sexual immorality, anything that works, hold on to it. When I get hit by a lust arrow, two things happen. I get an overwhelming heat inside and my brain starts working against me. So this might sound silly and shameful but I curl up in a ball and sing….this is the song that never ends and it goes on and on again, some people started singing it not knowing what it was but they’ll just keep on singing it forever just because…then it starts over and goes on forever in a loop. It gets that song stuck in my head so my brain can’t send me scenarios and temptations. If my brain wants to torture me, I torture it right back. Lol. I also sing out loud so I annoy any demon lingering around me. And despite feeling like that heat is going to never go away unless I give in, the heat of lust does pass and leave a lot faster than your brain tells you it will stay, usually once I’ve sung the song ten or so times. Now, that said, there have been times this didn’t work. It’s rare but it’s happened. During those times, I have nothing else to do but go straight to God and tell Him I have fought the good fight and I am losing, so save me! He has always saved me, just taken it away. Sometimes instantly, sometimes a bit slower, once it took two or three days. But always, when I keep asking for help, He comes through. Anyway, these are some practical skills that I use. You might come up with some that work for you. Recognizing that attack as soon as it happens is the most important part. Don’t just be like, I’m horny, I’m bad, I must find relief. No. Instead say, I’m under attack, someone is messing with me, they are trying to shut down my access to God and the Holy Spirit, over my dead body. Fight people. It’s starts in your mind.

You don’t need to convince God of anything, you are already saved by His mercy and grace. Your feeling dirty is the enemy putting those thoughts there to keep you from communicating with Jesus. Don’t fall for the lies the enemy throws at you. Pray and ask for forgiveness, pray that Jesus washes away you sins and makes as white as snow.
