Great scenery! Looks very much like trails we have in the Carolinas in the fall. I have the same issues with fallen leaves obscuring the trails. That is far less than destroyed,. I think you were very fortunate considering that tumble.

Cool riding. The downhill fall at ~ 38:00 demonstrates how tough our wheels really are. I like your attitude - you love the adventure of riding and are OK with destroying the wheel if necessary :-) I know local riders like you that love to jump over rocks, trees, etc. and break rims a lot (jumping and then landing on a rock is really tough on a rim). Me? I stay out of the air :-) If the motor, control board, and batteries are good, you certainly didn't destroy the wheel. Just cosmetic damage ;-)

Its one of those days. Everything goes wrong and you can't but help watch the train wreck that is your day happen in slow motion. The best thing that came out of that day was that you were not seriously hurt.

That was one hell of downhill, like flying down the stairs as a child lol

Yeah. That was nuts...

A shortish leash might have prevented the worst of the damage? The fibreglass ‘mono shell’ protector might be an idea too.
@Reorr3 жыл бұрын
Agree, thought about both of them :P But the leash is on the wqay :)

Once they get loose they dont want to stop, the hill just makes it that much worse. When my little brother was learning on my mten3 he fell going like 5mph max and the wheel somehow accelerated itself and probably rolled for 20 feet. on flat ground.

Sorry to see your wheel get damaged. It's like a parent seeing someone else's child get hit. Even though it's not mine, it still hurts. This is just another example of why we need to bungie leash our EUCs. Now you know. =8-Þ

This actually gives me peice of mind in the strength of the new to me rs19 I just got. I am sorry for the damahe you suffered, but I am surprised it didn't suffer far worse with how loud that bang was at the bottom.

Actually, you should feel lucky, so little damage for such a big fall and ur not hurt plus it was beautiful scenery. Good luck w the refurb and get spike peddles, I love my Clark’s. Thanks for posting and now I’m going to ride my RST but will change my horizontal settings to low first:)

Thanks :) I actually feel pretty lucky, could be worse 😂

That leash thing this doesn't sound like such a bad idea after seeing that. That was brutal, damn. But that's pretty impressive though that it's still rides time I been considering a rs19 speed over the s20

My two cents “Tether”. Any trail riding I use one. Sorry about your wheel but at least it is still working.

Looked like a nice lazy fall ride when your wheel ran away from you. That was a long downhill. Sorry bout the damage. Good thing about GW is there's lots of parts on Ali if you can't find it locally & its a nice excuse to get into in some honeycombs. O well, its a good winter project. Hint: maybe you'd wanna invest in one of those russian fibre glass shells or if you're cheap (like me) go to town with some baby bumper pads. You'll be surprised how much protection it provides.

ok. I wasn't expecting the wheel to tumble down a steep hill and hit every rock on the way. sorry bro. horrible luck.

What do you hate the most Skog? I recently almost fell and twisted my hip on some old watery dank leaf's on the road, it was so unexpected slippery! xD I prefer snow AND black ice over leafs that has been pressed and soaked for weeks. At least with the ice and snow you are ready....
@Reorr3 жыл бұрын
I prefer ice and snow :) JUst as you said, you are ready then :)

You must not ride many devices like rollerblades or skateboards when you were younger because leaves are your enemy regardless what you're riding. I think I learned that at like 6 years old.

Riding on wet leafs or sand is not the best way to take care of your wheel. Avoid if possible especially water with this hollow motor. I'm on my second bearings and about to change to a third. It's a great wheel just water is it's weakness
@Reorr3 жыл бұрын
Do you have the new smaller bearings or the older ones? Yeah, the seal on this wheel isn't to impressive.
@SharinganUchiha283 жыл бұрын
My second set is slight better than the original bearings but still ended up needing to get swapped out again. Not sure if they are smaller

Omg I was wondering how hard of a fall you would need to destroy your wheel and still be alive. Seeing that you were not even on the wheel,just lost balance and hit the weel a bit and everything was j.. Wow.. I was really not excpecting something like that.. It's sad :( I'm so sorry for you
@ritchyrich71062 жыл бұрын
That's wheel is 60 pounds. That 60 pound weight down a steep hill or embankment or cliff would take you down with it...don't you think🤔? If you were to leash your wheel...
@Reorr2 жыл бұрын
Would attach the leash to something I know will break if it pulls to hard :)
