You are soooo pretty. Btw remember to keep your homemade flaxseed gel in the fridge for up to a week to prevent bacteria growth! I did this today and i am so in love with how defined my curls are. they have never been this defined. I did it around 1pm and it's 9pm and i still have a bit of white ness and i dont know if i should have put gel after oiling or put the gel and a bit of oil on that. UPDATE: the following morning all of the white flakes were gone! Dunno where they went but my hair was shiny and black and soft

Shalom, you should try blotting your hair with a T-shirt to absorb the excess gel. I just wrap the t-shirt gently on my head and press gently all around blotting my hair. I shake my hair right after. You will be amazed at how this method doesn’t disturb the curls, removes white residue and how quickly your hair dries. Have a blessed day!💙

It looks awesome! The white flocks are there because using the other leave in conditioners before.. The flaxseed gel has to be in the pure hair after washing.. This happens also to me and the solution was just this. Have a good time ❤️

It looks great ,I also tried it on my hair as well but however It left it feeling really dryy ( I think some people should be able to relate). What I did was mixed it with my cantu moisturiser in a container along with some oil and that gave me the best results . My hair Was FULL of moisture and it wasn't dry at all.

Yes, using some sort of moisturizing product before the flaxseed gel is a must. Also don’t use too much because the gel can appear to feel “watery” or not thick, but a little bit truly goes a long way. I actually prefer homemade flaxseed gel over my past favorite UFD curly magic. Cuz ever since the formula changed it refuses to mix with my products and is incredibly sticky, but my diy flaxseed gel mixes very well with my products and doesn’t leave any kind of residue.

Anytime I tried to mix my gel with wet products it hates other products. I use it the next day when the leave-in products and my activator are dry then, I add the gel. The gel is selfish and hates other products on my hair when trying to dry all at the same time. Others may be able to do same day. I add Lavender and vitamin E capsules.

Alegre Afterain I would definitely recommend moisturizing your hair with a good oil and leave-in conditioner because your hair could get dry during the week. I moisturized my hair with my usual products as a base and then applied the gel. You can also try a oil that works great for your hair and then apply the flaxseed (Oil Gel Method)
