I lovegoing on trips by myself because I can do whatever I want, meet new people, live life at my pace...I open up a bit in this vlog and reflect on this last year, some relationship stuff and showing up for myself by being the one. Girl power !! So this is a bit crazy but you partially inspired me to go on a solo trip for a few days to Paris on my birthday at the end of last year. It was my first time traveling alone and like most things that I try for the first time, it honestly didn’t go exactly as planned… like I felt a bit intimidated the servers at the restaurants and the cashiers cause I’m a bit of a shy person lol, so I didn’t eat a lot or bought many things, and lots of awkward things kept on happening because of my inexperience and some lack in my French skills; but the city was still so lovely though, it was amazing walking around just exploring it (one day I walked more than 45.000 steps lol), and I especially loved Paris at night, seeing all the beautiful lights and walking by the Seine by myself… Despite my misfortunes and some sadness I felt I still wouldn’t trade this experience for anything (looking back it’s also kind of funny), and just the fact that I decided to actually do what I’ve been dreaming about for a long time makes me feel so proud and grateful! And even if this wasn’t like the “perfect life changing experience”, I still want to and hopefully will keep on doing more solo travel, and I’m curious if with time this will get better, which makes me feel so excited! I feel kind of funny randomly sharing this but doing things like this also makes me feel free in a way, So why not? Thank you so much for always inspiring me!! And happy birthday!!

Yes travelling by yourself is fun, and you can explore what YOU want and at YOUR own pace unlike when you’re with someone else you have to meet in the middle... Also to add - I’ve always wanted to live in Europe, you and Damon make me want to do that very bad, I see you guys living a good life and not in the sense of having luxuries, but wonderful experiences and friends.. there’s too many people out there living such a superficial and materialistic life… and then there’s you who lives a wholesome real life and I love that

I’ve been having very difficult time after falling apart with my close friend. I was in my head all the time what have I done and what went wrong. This lead me to not enjoying alone time at all. idk why but I really felt this one.I'm on a solo adventure right now in the south of Spain and there's something about the pace of how solo travel feels- how your monologues in this video reflect how alone in a new place, outside of your normal environment, you porcess things differently, suddenly have a different perspective. You feel both more connected to life itself while also being disconnected slightly from the overarching plot of your current daily life, which is both clarifying and dizzying. I feel slightly lost and also profoundly wonderous and dazzled by life today as I have arrived to this new space both geographically and mentally and watching this video really helped to ground me in it! I travel alone. I started doing this because when I traveled with friends it all ways ended up with me wanting to visit places and do things that they didn't want to do. Visiting museums,art galleries,churches and other cultural places. It meant that when we did meet up they didn't even want to hear about my enjoyment that I had experienced that day and many times I just ended up feeling very alone in a group of friends. So I di,ecided to just go on my own and now I enjoy my adventures so much more. I have the freedom to have days when I non stop visit places I find facinating and then days when I can just sit in a bar and relax. It would have to be a special trip for me to travel as a group now. I am so pleases you enjoyed your trip and Birthday, it looks like an amazing destination to visit. I went to Barcelona on my own on Friday and loved myself all day. I love going to weird museums and being the only one wandering about. I wore my new pink leggings and felt glorious. I split from my partner of five years, whom I love very much, two days ago, and lost my second grandparent in the past year in January. This is one of the most painful trials I've had to endure and hearing your reminder to love others, find people that feel like home, and to put yourself first is healing. I've lost my power to speak over the past several years, am afraid to meet new people and travel alone without my partner, and I am missing my sense of self. But I am ready to grow and survive and flourish despite all of this. Even commenting about this all feels like too much vulnerability, but I am happy to start somewhere. This small step is big. One of my favorite vacations I ever took was a solo trip to London and the South of France, where I just made up something to do as each day presented itself. I was in Spain for the first couple of months this year and I also decided to solo travel for my birthday, I went to a different city in the north of Spain, ate a lot of very delicious vegan food, walked all over the place with no final destination or time limit and also got to go to a huge freestyle event which I had been a big fan of for quite some time, so even though I was completely alone I would say it was probably my favorite birthday so far, it felt so magical and full of love because I made sure to provide all that for myself :) anyways totally recommend it as well! loved loved loved this video, as alwayssss, so beautiful to see other people just enjoying life in their own way

I travel all over the country alone for my job. I really love it. Every few years, I go through a slump of loneliness with it, but thankfully it never lingers too long. This looked like a wonderful trip!

I've been watching your videos almost daily and you've really inspired me with your positivity, outlook and authenticity. Girl Power! I also really, really love being alone. I have yet to travel on my own, but it's something that I think I would really enjoy. Enjoying yourself on your own is very different from enjoying things with others. There's a total freedom about it that makes it unique.

I have travelled and done things on my own and yes it would have been nice to share some experiences in some instances, but just because you are on your own shouldn't mean you don't get to experience those things at all. It is empowering and nice not to worry about someone else enjoying it and having a good time.xxx

I’ve only solo traveled once before but have a big solo travel trip planned and I’m so excited I’m someone who is very sheltered and also I have social anxiety often times being out and about is very tiring for long periods etc BUT I refuse to let that stop me from solo traveling and from experiencing new places and things, for me it’s the ultimate way I can show up for myself, my first solo travel experience was honestly just a breath of fresh air I loved it all, I didn’t have to expand the excess energy it takes to travel with someone else like my mom gets very anxious and I inevitably fall into the role of taking care of her and calming her down which is tiring or planning I’ve always been the one the planning falls on so It really just simplified everything AND I was given the freedom to set my own pace and bask in my own energy, I people watched, I journaled, I took photos, I focused on just feeling my emotions and enjoying the new surroundings unhindered by anyone else’s input or energy. I felt like I was on an adventure by myself, some grand exploration and I picture myself wearing what I consider a exploration outfit, something practical with lots of pockets like some cute oversized carpenter pants and a crop top or my personal ideal which isn’t as practical, a pixie cut cotton dress with long sleeves and a hood jagged cut triangle hem and a leather waist belt with pockets shaped like leaves, sandals or moccasins, a pashmina wrapped loosely around my shoulders for warmth, a leather thigh garter belt with a multi tool, backpack full of maps, compass, magnifying glass, waterproof matches, my papas handkerchief and my journal

Their chat feature is super cool aussi! I love spending alone time-I need it. I never ever get sick of my own company. I read a book once called, "How to be your own best friend." It changed the way I looked at it. Being alone does not mean lonely---I think that's how most neurotypicals think of it.
