I did SMILE Laser Vision Correction Surgery and now I can finally say good-bye to Spectacles. It has been a very long journey. This is my documentation of the same , for me to remember many many years from now ♥️

ഞാനും specs use ചെയുന്നുണ്ട്. ഈ video യിൽ chechi പറഞ്ഞ specs experience ൽ wash basin ന്റെ ഉള്ളിലേക്കു lense ഒഴുകി പോയത് ഒഴികെ ബാക്കി എല്ലാം എനിക്ക് എന്നെ തന്നെ കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞു അതിൽ. എന്റെ friends നോടും family യോടും ഒക്കെ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട് ദൂരെ എവിടേലും വച്ചു എന്നെ കണ്ടാൽ ഞാൻ mind ആക്കാതെ പോയിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഒറ്റ കാര്യം നോക്കിയാൽ മതി. ഞാൻ specs വച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ ഇല്ലയോ എന്ന് മാത്രം 😂. അതുപോലെ കുട്ടി ആയി ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ specs വച്ചാൽ ഒരു cool look എനിക്കും feel ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ പിന്നെ അത്രക്ക് അങ്ങോട്ട് cool അല്ലെന്നും മനസിലായി. Variety of specs collections ൽ ഒടുവിൽ ഞാനും contact lenses use ചെയ്യാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഇപ്പോ ഒരു function ൽ പോവാൻ confidence ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും എന്റെ കാഴ്ച ശക്തി നന്നായി കുറഞ്ഞു വരുന്നത് ഓർത്തു സങ്കടം വരാറുണ്ട്. മറ്റുള്ളവർ എന്നോട് ചോദിക്കും എങ്ങനെയാ നിനക്ക് ഇപ്പോ എല്ലാവരെയും കാണുന്നെ എന്ന്. അതിനു ഞാൻ കൊടുക്കാറുള്ള മറുപടി വെള്ളത്തിൽ കണ്ണ് തുറന്ന് പിടിച്ചാൽ ഉള്ള ഏകദേശം same ആണെന്ന് പറയും. അതുപോലെ specs ഉം contact lense ഉം ഇല്ലാത്ത time ൽ ഞാൻ ഒരാളെ identify ചെയാൻ കാണിക്കുന്ന trick എന്താണെന്നോ... കണ്ണിന്റെ അറ്റഭാഗം വലിച്ചു പിടിക്കും. അങ്ങനെ എന്തൊക്കെ അവസ്ഥകൾ 😢. Lazer treatment ചെയണം എന്ന് ഉണ്ട്. But budget ഒതുങ്ങില്ല. So അതിനു വേണ്ടി ഉള്ള സേവിങ്സിൽ ആണ് ഇപ്പോ. പഴയ കാഴ്ച miss ചെയുന്നുണ്ട്. അത് ഇല്ല്ലാത്തവർക്കേ അതിന്റെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് മനസിലാകൂ. ചേച്ചിക്കും ഈ same situation ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് കണ്ടപ്പോ just എന്റെ experience കൂടെ ഷെയർ ചെയ്തതാ

Hi Ahana, iam an Ophthalmology resident. And i was watching this video with so much of enthusiasm, eventhough i know the procedure and post op care of 1 -3 month pretty much clear and as a junior doctor We have been counseling the patients also. But while watching this video from a patient’s perspective with all their emotional rollercoaster , it seems wonderful and heart whelming. And the effort you put for study and research the whole procedure is amazing, and the way you are explaining to common people in simple terms , i felt like as i was attending a lecture regarding refractive surgeries. I did this same surgery (SMILE) in March and I can relate the happiness you showed in this video. I was using glasses for 12 years and year by year my power of the glass got increased and done 2 laser surgeries in my life. My vision was so bad and with high power!! Without my glasses I can’t see anything so, I was longing from my childhood to see the world with my own eyes without the help of glasses!! I always wished that I also wanted to see the world like others and finally it happened. For me 2023 will be my forever best year because now I could also see like others with my own eyes without the help of glasses!!!🥰❤️🧿

A really inspiring journey.❤..I can really relate with these situations... from 2016 I started my "spectacle" life...and in 2021 I was just changed to contact lense..at that moment I was very happy..coz I can see things around without spex...even though, I went through so many situations some them are really made me sad be coz of my short sight. still now I'm living with my contact lenses. I couldn't control my tears watching this vlog. It took me back to a lot of memories which i had with my acha. My acha had cataract surgery last year Nov . Even though it's cataract surgery listening to your story i could connect a lot things when you said about the drops which you have to put daily for a month. Me and my mom was the one who took care of acha after the surgery, putting drops on time and so on . My dad used to say the same thing like you said in this vlog that he could see everything so clearly and could read even the small writings. He was so happy that he could see everything so clearly. Nearly close to a month after the surgery my dad passed away suddenly due to cardiac arrest . It's so hard for me to accept the fact he is no more bcoz one fine day he passed away . He was perfectly fine . So seeing this video of yours took me back to those good old days with my acha. I couldn't hold back my tears watching this video of yours.

I'm also a person with Myopia who is using specs from 10th std and I got my symptoms from 8th std and as Ahaana Chechi said at that time we never minded it. I can relate this with my condition...I am also having less cornea thickness.. Kerataconus !! Thickness of cornea decreases...we cannot regain the thickness by C3R surgery, but can limit the thickness by preventing it to reduce again....if thickness decreases, it may even lead to blindness...I have done the surgery and it was successful.....and I was very happy.... But again when I was pregnant, Kerataconus again came to my life ... cornea thickness again got decreased.... Pregnancy can worse this condition... Now doctor again suggested to do C3R surgery !! I don't fear the surgery but I fear how will I handle my 1 year old baby during that situation...I am really tensed n sad.... Praying to God to do some miracle in my life😔
