your video color clarity is exceptional...and your editing beautifully done. You make KL look more "green" concentrate which may not be apparent in a busy city but is there and a source of pride for us locals. We built the city infrastructure but we live for our green and the calm that it brings....thank u.
@tommy-boy

Thank you very much! Yes I love how the green has been prioritised, that is very rare these days! So it's an amazing thing that is happening in KL as you still get that huge modern city too, it's cool!

Weicome to Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia Tommy-Boy! The insect orchestra in the Bukit Nanas Eco Park ( Bukit = hill & Nanas = Pineapple in the Malay language ) is probably made by Malaysian cicadas & yes , it is wiser to change to a smaller & lighter backpack to bring along a small retractable umbrella inside a plastic bag to shield from the elements & don't forget to dry it in the hotelroom , a pair of sunglasses & sun hat & insect repellent spray & insect bite numbing lotion & antibacteria & antibac wet tissues are always come in handy! A spare phone with powerbank would be wise too in case of emergency! You just missed the many Christmas decorations in many Shopping Malls around KL from November to December 2024 which you can catch up in other channels' recorded videos! A belated Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year 2025 to Tommy-Boy , families & to All Your Royal Followers! Stay safe , healthy , stay vigilant & stay humble Tommy-Boy! 🙏🌷🌿🍎🍊🫐🥘🍕🍔🍟🍰🍵

Good advise. Whenever I travel I bring almost all of the above including my First-Aid kit bag. I take it everywhere with me. While hiking in the wilderness of California mountains and desert, I would also bring a snake suction kit with me. It allows me to get the venom out should I get bitten by a snake. I bring this with me to Malaysia as well. I use it to suck out the "poison" (lack of a better word) from all the mosquito bites. After that, it stop itching within minutes and I don't have to use any insect numbing sticks. I still bring a numbing stick with me but rarely need to use them simply because the snake suction kit is that effective.

I was somewhat captivated by your stunning videography and colorful scenes. I had to stop watching the video and look at your name and description, only to find out that you are an "Artist On Tour". Then it all made a lot of sense. I have been watching quite a few Malaysian travel videos and because of that, Google's KZbin algorithm has been recommending more and more of Malaysian video "knowing" that I enjoyed it. Of the many videos I have seen so far, yours is the most visually pleasing. Narration and history is also very appropriate to the video. I would tone down on the color saturation boost of your videos. Nice to bring out the vibrant color but not too much. As one of your commenters were saying, probably good idea to tone down the video of you talking and instead focus more on the scenery. Pronunciation: I love your impeccable pronunciation of "Laksa" and especially "Rendang" - spot on! Only later, I realized that you have been to many places in Indonesia. Durian: A few decades ago, I found the best description of Durian which I totally agreed upon. It taste like Vanilla custard! To me, that is exactly what it tasted like. My advise for first time durian eater is not to talk so much about it, and do NOT smell it first. It is best to just eat it and let your nose adapt to it later. Your nose will adapt. This is how I taught my Ukrainian-born wife on how to eat the durian. She took a bite and loved it. I did told her about the Vanilla custard first. You have to psych the person up first. She fell in-love with it on the first bite. Now, whenever we travel to Malaysia, we would go durian hunting - that is a must. Bloody thing is addictive!

@tommy-boy 16 күн бұрын
Thank you very much, that's very kind of you to say! I enjoy the creative aspect of it, it fits in with my love of drawing. I am always trying different things with my videos so I'll take on board what you're saying. I appreciate that you think my pronunciation is okay! And yes Durian is very unique, I've still never had anything like it! I get the consistency of custard but I've never been able to say what the flavour is! But it's definitely something everyone has to try!

@drteddy70 4 күн бұрын
Malaysian weather is always warm and humid. Ditch the heavy jacket. Go for loose, light cotton clothes. Despite what you might be led to believe, you can wear shorts and sleeveless shirts, especially in major cities. You will need trousers and shirt with sleeves if plan to visit temples and mosques. Bring a light jacket as some places set their air conditioner to "arctic". A hat and umbrella or raincoat would be wise. Just buy them when you arrive. Sunscreen is essential, but you can get all major brands in Malaysia. Only pack sunscreen if you are using a uncommon or otherwise less popular brand.

@@tommy-boy eating rice with fork are quite "acceptable" for western meal but surely not for Asians rice meals. Why? Because the concept is mixed multiple dishes into your spoon or hand then you eat it together in one shot.. Some with gravy that is means to mixed with the rice that is flavourful. That way, you will enjoy the True taste of Asians cuisines with rice. Trust me, same dishes different way of eating will give you different perspectives and enjoyment for sure. As simple as we didnt eat burger in a separate manner but all in one in one huge bite 😅

@@tommy-boy I had no idea or probably forgot that they eat rice with a fork in the UK. I went to secondary school in Farnborough (Hampshire county). Folks here in the U.S. eat their rice with forks as well. I certainly like the Malaysian style better, as it makes a lot of sense. Most rice dishes comes with some sort of gravy or could be soupy. You can't scoop that with a fork and rice grains will go right through a fork. So, eating with a spoon tend to be my favorite way of eating rice dishes.

@tommy-boy: Malaya, before it became Malaysia, was a British protectorate due to its collaboration between the British government and the Sultans (hereditary rulers of multiple states in Malaya). The British later persuaded former British colonies (Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei, and Singapore) to join the Federation of Malaya. Brunei declined, while the other colony states joined to become the Federation of Malaysia in 1963 (6 years after Malaya gain its independence). Due to political tension and disagreement between the Singapore's state government and the Federal government in Kuala Lumpur, regrettably, Singapore was cast out of the Federation to become its own independent republic just a few years later. Fortunately, Malaysia independence from the British was achieved through peaceful negotiation instead of violent protest or war - which is actually quite cool.
