I think this is starting to strike at some of her appeal. I had watched like 1/2 of an MMA fight when I started watching some of Rose’s fights, and my first comment was “she is very easy to root for”-I think it’s the look on her face right after a win, she looks like she’s gonna cry and then she in fact starts crying, and she looks concerned for opponents she just beat and it’s like all the struggles of her life are written on her face and she has in fact had a lot of struggles. People of all sorts can identify with this. You want to hug her because she doesn’t look like a tank that just beat someone up-she looks like the skinny kid that always gets beat up, but just got her revenge, and then was sorry about it!

I was fairly confident that Rose would win by decision based on the fact that weili couldn't knock Joanna down, yet rose has twice... and weili has changed into a different fighter than when she first came to UFC. She used to be high pressure n high volume striking... she now is trying to be a standup striking specialist, but she is too stiff n too little head movement. I figured rose would bounce in n out while weili rocked back n forth on her bulking shoulders like she does. Didnt see the tae Kwon do snap kick coming, tho!

I don't know her IRL and only spoken to her a few times, but I absolutely knew she is of the best. The fight she got slammed in, she was having some private issues going on. As long as her head is in the game (which is becoming easier and easier for her) she'll go out there and dominate. So, look out for what comes next with Rose. She's a sweet, thoughtful, adorable, killer. Haha.

That was one of the most well timed kicks ever. She was clearly slower than Weili but the old boxing saying "timing beats speed" applied here. Congrats to her. She is a phenomenal fighter.
@TrollSniper5743 жыл бұрын
@VIKING AT THE BRIDGE WHOM GAVE HIS BALLS TO BRITS the set up is part of what is meant by timing, she timed a high kick right when Wei expected a low kick because of the way she set it up with her footwork and previous strikes
@cheetah5953 жыл бұрын
What do you mean Rose was clearly slower? She looked faster to me. Zhang landed maybe one punch and a couple of low kicks. Rose was outmaneuvering her and then knocked her ass out with that kick to the head/neck.

yes, I was analysing that kick right after, in my mind... gotta see it again, but.. with the front leg, it had just enough arch to flick over the guard, it was incredible technique. kept it light, did a lite little switch step even... almost like that front hook that she knocked down Joanna with! only with a kick this time! brilliant

Did you really think masvidal was going to win tho'??? I do not like Usman, but i knew damn well he was going to beat the fuck out him, jorge got clipped repeatedly in their previous fight even tho' kamaru didn't study jorge, that's why the smart plan was just to wrestle, know that usar had that time to study jorge I knew he was going down. Usman has better reach, better cardio, better wrestling and better jiu jitsu than Jorge, that leaves jorge only with a stand up chance but with a shorter reach, which means the best way over that is kicking, jorge ain't a kicker, kicking will overcome that reach disadvantage, jorge ain't a karate or a taekwondo guy, add to that he has set a precedent getting clipped by Usman his chances of winning were hilariously slim, the only real chance he had to overcome all of that was a flying knee, and he tried, but lacked the pop. Even usar notices after jorge threw that and right there he understood that he had it on the bag.

That whole knockout sequence was an understated master class. It was so great, clean, and precise, that Zhang didn’t know what happened. I don’t think she was pissed, I think she was clueless. That perfect flash KO left her lost in the sauce. The lights went out, and when they came back on the fight was over and she didn’t know why, I believe that’s what led to her reaction.
