depends how fast you're and on which app you're working, I managed to make 20+ pounds this December, my record is 32 for an hour, the lowest i have made was 16 pound, so it really depends on you how fast you're.

it really depends on the area, and deliveroo these days seems to be better than the others, in some areas it pays better, in other it pays worse, all in all, i average £18-20 / hour before expenses between 6-11 pm, friday and saturday could be up to £25/h

My husband used to do it for a few hours then and there but he stopped it as he said its not worth it. Too many drivers and too little orders. When you add up your expenses, Insurances, not worth the time. He started In 2021, 2022, it used to be good but now, its not. The most he made the money was December 2021, holiday period, 3 days, he made £350 which went towards out holidays. Ubereats on its own is not sustainable.

100% agree, when I was working, I asked a few drivers what they thought about Uber & each and everyone of them said it’s pointless! JustEats on the other hand isn’t that bad apparently

@@3.7Million He would rotate between Uber and deliveroo. We did try to get him a JustEats but we could never get account as too many people. But JE isn't bad as its used a lot, I think what appeals to it is, you don't get charged a delivery fee unless you want to pay for it so makes it a good alternative to Uber. But I suspect more drivers will quitting next month when the new tax law comes in, if you earn over £1000, you need to declare your income so those who do this a full time or make more, they will differently think about it now as they could be taxed more and you can't get away with it now. It was good while it lasted.

You need to take into consideration it's Christmas day MOST people celebrate Christmas in this country so it's not the best day to do uber eats. Plus if you really think about it every job has expenses. Do you count commuting to work for a normal job by public transport or car does that count as an expense???

@@3.7Million don’t get me wrong, I never even thought about McDonald’s on Christmas Day , but I was getting some delivered via UberEats and popping down to my local and I just fancied a breakfast muffin meal. I never even thought of it this Christmas but if I knew they was open, I’d deff have got a breakfast. Although I rarely eat McDonald’s nowadays. I’m bit put off by all the constant bashing of poor quality, online . But if a quarter pounder with cheese or triple cheeseburger is hot, they can be so satisfying.

Well if it’s £6.80 per gallon (roughly), so that’s only 2.2 gallons. It’s surprising how little that will go. Don’t forget, he’s been using the car 5 hours. So if he averages 40 miles per gallon (conservative guess), that’s only 85 miles of fuel. 85 miles in 5 hours is 17 miles driven per hour. Very rough comment, but just wanted to give some idea 😄. My car only gets 17MPG, so I wouldn’t want to try it in mine haha
