Yes I got blood work done when I was vegan. A lot of nutrients were low despite trying to supplement, I talk about this in previous videos. It's sad that vegans are still making excuses in the comments after seeing the food I ate. #insanity

My blood levels are absolute perfection, a meat eater could only dream of having atherosclerosis proof cholesterol levels like mine. www.onlinejacc.org/content/70/24/2979 how you gonna dismiss this? 6 year Vegan here that recently transitioned back to eating meat. I'm obsessive with my research and diet. I was never a junk food vegan except on rare occasions. Always eating whole foods. Digestion became a big problem for me and I just couldn't stand the constant bloating and explosive gas. And any Vegans reading this thinking they will tell me I just had a food allergy or wasn't "doing it right" can fuck off tbh. I tried everything and was very diligent about my approach. A lot of plants are healthy and should be part of someone's diet. But when you have to load your plate with so many plants to meet your calorie and protein needs, it just becomes way to much for the digestive system to handle.

the plants we eat do not exist in nature, humans have cultivated all of them since agriculture began. Most within the last couple of hundred of years. We evolved for millions of years eating animals. Herbivores ferment plant fibre into saturated fats in their guts. We evolved away from this - atrophied caecum (appendix) and shorter intestines over time.

@@jol7851 awesome that it works for you, but so many ex vegans seem to quit because of digestion issues. Doesn’t really matter how nutritious your food is if you can't break it down properly. E.g. to meet needs for lysine and zinc vegan RDs recommend 4 servings of legumes or soy per day. I can barely eat 2 tablespoons of beans without getting an upset stomach :')

Thank you so much for sharing your story. The vegan diet has wrecked my life. I had been I'll for 42 years with all kinds of health issues. I had a hysterectomy, and was never well after. I tried every diet, supplements, alternative treatments and therapy. Nothing worked. 8 years ago I had breast cancer. I read about how healthy a vegan diet was. So 5 years ago I went vegan. I started juicing, smoothes, protein shakes and like you I cooked proper vegan meals. To start with I felt great, and clean inside. Then after a year or so I started looking weight. My hair started falling out. My gums started bleeding. My skin became flaky and dry, my nails became soft. And so the list goes on. I was still looking weight. I started taking supplements. But nothing helped. My GI doctor sent me for scans. I now have lung cancer. So after 3 years of vegan, I started eating eggs and fish. I felt so guilty. Then we got organic chicken, feeling more guilty. Then my husband bought me organic fillet steaks and mince. That is two years now. I then got covid. Lost more weight. I'm very sick. I still can't put weight. I went to a functional practitioner and had some tests. I was told I have mast cell activation syndrome, and chronic inflammatory response syndrome. I have had all this for 42 years. It was kept in check by my immune system. But going vegan lowered my immune system. Now I'm far worse than I was before. I can't out on weight, and I can eat veggies any more. And two years since my last scans, I have just had more, and waiting for the results. My cancer has grown and spread. The vegan diet has pretty much been a death sentence to me. My husband is sick of hearing the word vegan. Me to. I wish I had never gone vegan. I have lost 3 stone in total. My skin isn't so bad, my gums have stopped bleeding, my hair isn't falling out so much, my nails are stronger. But my gut is wrecked. I have leaky gut, and even though my diet is mainly animal proteins. I still can't put any weight on. I take loads of clean supplements. But nothing helps. I now need cancer treatment, or I will die. I have never been so lost and frightened in my life. For two years I tried to treat my cancer the natural way. But it hasn't worked. From what I have read. Carbs and sugars feed cancer. Before the vegan diet I had half a life. Now I have none. Every minute of every day I feel I'm going to die. It's nice to gear your so much better. God Bless you all.

I thought i was eating the best diet possible but this kept happening until i started eating fish again. Now im feeling like normal again surfing for 4-5 hours without fatigue. Pescatarian diet works much better for me, if we were all the same we would all thrive on the same diet.

You are describing my story too...But I was vegan for ten years in total. Even after getting really sick, to the point of nearly dying I STILL tried for another 2 years!!!! That's how extremely vegan I was...🤪 Some days are hard still, I can't look at a cow/pig/chicken without feeling guilt and sadness and when Vegetable Police did his video where he pets a super cute cow made me cry again. Phew...But I just CAN'T be vegan! I'm a certified nutritionist and I did EVERYTHING I could to still be able to be vegan! I was also vegetarian both before and after, and also pescetarian for a long time, it was way more sustainable than the vegan diet, but since I'm now sensitive to both dairy and eggs, it's not possible to do, I developed asthma and jointpain. Meat is what makes me feel physically the best. It's sad that it has to be that way, I still have many days where I think of trying to become vegetarian/pescetarian again, but I just cannot sustain on it longer than a couple of weeks! The vegan agenda makes me furious!! Even regular people goes around thinking that a vegan diet is the healthiest and best for saving the planet! Even a very big hamburger chain here in Sweden is now going to fase out their meat burgers to plantbased burgers. They have already switched out all milkshakes to vegan milkshakes. And they brag in their commercials on how good it is for the health and the planet. The word PLANTBASED is now a synonym for HEALTHY and that makes me really angry!! I looked up the ingredients lists on the vegan milkshakes and burgers and it's absolute CRAP!!!!!!

Humans aren't herbivore. We are omnivore but much leaning toward carnivore. The people who know the truth about optimal human diet will eat high quality raw meat, fatty meat, especially organ meat, fish, eggs, raw milk. I know it's shocking but we have been fooled or misinformed, or strayed away from our ancestors for so long.

I got to hear Dr. Ken Berry speak in person last night. He said he was going to stop using the terms "keto", "carnivore" and maybe even "low carb", and start using "the proper human diet" to end all confusion. He also made the statement that he could lock someone up in his barn, feeding them only animals nose to tail, and that person would never develop nutrient deficiencies. The same can not be said about plants, no matter how many different plants were eaten.

8 years vegan transitioning back to animal foods. It is interesting to see how the pendulum can swing to the other extreme to bring balance. I think a big part of that is restricted living in general. It builds up over time and then it's like the flood gates open once the dam is lifted. I find myself craving red meat now that I'm eating it, it's like yes that's what I've been missing! I was in such a bubble and away from any animal foods that I was never triggered with cravings...though when I went on a 7 day water fast I walked by a Dairy Queen and was salivating 😅😅😅 We are a curious creatures, in a messy, modern world, adrift and unmoored from our roots as humans.

I grew up vegan, I tried over 4 decades to make veganism work, I never ate a vegan junk food diet, I was macrobiotic from age 12, everything was soaked, well cooked, supposed minerals blah blah, as a teen I didn't get a menstrual cycle unless it was induced via hormones an OB/GYN prescribed, I took it a few times and decided it was not worth it. When I was in school for Chinese medicine, I still didn't listen to my teachers and eat meat and animal food. At 20 I was diagnosed with Hashi;s and put on Armour. Then I got married and wanted to start a family, I ate meat, I got pregnant and then went back to my macrobiotic eating. 3.5 years later with nursing twin toddlers I noticed their teeth were developing discoloration so I added fish and butter to our diets, we were always sick too with intense digestive disturbances from vomiting all the time to rashes all over our faces and bodies. Then at 29 and pregnant again with my third child, the late Patricia Connolley of Price Pottenger became my mentor, and introduced me to raw primal diet, I did that for the next 4.5 years but still had to stay on thyroid, then I was introduced to raw veganism..............sigh................like an idiot I spent the next 10 plus years trying to tweak various raw diets to make my body feel good but I kept getting worse. 811RV fruitarianism was the nail in the coffin. A year ago I went carnivore and 6 months into it got off 30 plus years of thyroid hormone. I don't want to be part of any diet cult so I just do my own thing, I never ever want to listen to someone else's regime, if I want mushrooms I eat them, if I want some fruit in season now, I will eat that too. I got well and recovered but years ago I thought I was destined to have continual chronic fatigue, brain fog, migraines, aching bones and joints and so on.

I love your transparency and authenticity Meghan. I've come to realize that in most cases, militant vegans (future ex vegans) will never accept that people are quitting veganism for legitimate health issues that are directly correlated to a vegan diet and which are improved after bringing animal foods back in. I've spent countless hours trying to explain in detail on my IG and honestly at times I feel like it's pointless. The truth is, some people will simply have to experience it themselves before they will believe it. I can say the same about myself. I would never have suspected that a vegan diet would not be sustainable long term.

To thrive on a vegan diet you basically have to either chew your food like hell, blend your food AND soak, sprout, ferment grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, eat fermented foods, eat huge portion sizes to give your body the energy it needs, eat daily coconut products. Never raw, never fruit based... For me personally I found out that I thrive on well prepared, easy digestable vegan foods (listed above) with the addition of fish, eggs. :) No extremes anymore.

Just me saying I was thinking of eating an egg, I would be strung up and hung by the vegan community!! My body was screaming at me to eat eggs and fish!! Last week I ate my first fish and by the evening my leg pain was gone! My depression lifted! I'm now back! Grounded and happy! My turn around was swift! I had to remove hundreds and hundreds of vegans from my fb account in fear of retaliation. The vegan community by far had been the most cruel bunch of people I have ever encountered. When I was a kid I believed that if I eat spinach I would get the mega strength of Popeye the Sailor Man. Imagine my disappointment when that did not work. We all believe in certain things related to nutrition, but our bodies do not care about what we believe, biology has rules and those can not be changed. Our bodies will respond in a good or a bad way depending on what we are feeding them. It is up to us to experiment and see what works and what does not work.

if all we ate were fruits and vegetables from the beginning of our evolution, then the human race would have gone extinct a long time ago ;) I highly recommend everyone read "Primal Body, Primal Mind" by Nora Gedgaudas
@Dr_JoroPeate
@Dr_JoroPeate 5 жыл бұрын
So I looked up this book and this Nora Gedgaudas character... She has no recognizable certifications and is a paleo quack promoter. She is a certified Nutritional Therapist which means absolutely nothing as it requires no degree or training. www.ucas.com/ucas/after-gcses/find-career-ideas/explore-jobs/job-profile/nutritional-therapist Also couldn't find anything credible about her that would make her qualified on nutrition, here on her own BIO. www.northwest-neurofeedback.com/bio.html The claim that we would of went extinct with only fruits and vegetables is a fallacious statement. Humans are opportunist eaters, meaning we would eat anything we could find as long as it wasn't poisonousness. This idea that we grew and thrived largely on animals during our period of rapid brain growth is very misleading, as it is well known that the majority of our diet was ancient grains and starchy tubers, which were much more abundant than the odd animal that we were able to catch or hunt down. Yes animal flesh played a part in our survival when food was scarce and we needed every calorie we could get to feed our growing brains massive calorie requirements, but with food in abundance in western countries today it is quite clear we are designed to consume starchy vegetables, as it is the easiest fuel source for our large brains to use after our bodies break down and absorb the nutrients (glucose) . Also think about it; we evolved from primates, there are around 230 species and none of them rely on meat to sustain themselves. If any are observed eating meat, it is a rare occurrence or quite literally ritualistic behavior (like chimps observed hunting down and eating other monkey species as a show of dominance and territorial gain.) So to think that we evolved to eat a paleo diet is exactly what ended up giving the founder of the diet multiple heart attacks, and then finally a fatal heart attack in the first place. Only animals with herbivorous tendencies are observed to be susceptible to heart failure due to atherosclerosis. This is easily the best evidence we have in regards to species specific diets, and is easily backed up by mainstream science. So just sit on that thought...let me know if I am missing anything about your author, but I seriously would start questioning your sources and the books you read.

So far vegans the only diet I know of that is so healthy your health falls apart more and more the longer and stricter you stick to it, then heals almost instantly once you cheat on it. Ie I just try to eat clean omnivore. My healths improved greatly cutting out processed junk. If I have burger King or some.oreos they definitely cause me some bloating or what have you. Meanwhile all these ex vegans talk about how their health and mental states were just miserable suffering, they are a couple eggs and fish and felt alive again. For such a healthy diet you seem to have to suffer quite a bit and need to see ALOT of doctors BC no matter what you eat you're still "not doing it right"

Thanks for sharing your testimony. We always have to be wary of what online health gurus and personalities are showing us as it's not always 100% what it seems. A lot of them portray a picture perfect image of health and as viewers going through health issues we want that and are willing to follow whatever they are doing. I remember what I went through as a vegan and raw vegan and being riddled with cravings and 24/7 in your face thoughts and vivid dreams of food that I would just try and force myself to ignore. This was ALL DAY. I just couldn't stop thinking of food. Gave me a whole new perspective of what cravings are for. Maybe just maybe it's our body calling out to us since it's lacking something. Makes me wonder about many of these vegan youtubers, they have got to be literally starving lol. And it's not just veganism, all these diets and people advocating for them seem to have their own issues.

Great video, Mehgan! I went vegan to reverse DCIS OF THE LEFT BREAST. I ate mostly raw and juiced. But ended up with digestion issues. Now, I eat small amounts of animal protien and fats along with plants. However, I'm back at square one. Two years ago, my thyroid antibodies were at 7.9. After 3 months of a raw vegan diet they went to 3.9. Last year, they rose to 4.7. This year, they rose to 6.6. My most recent thermogram revealed the critters have come back and have invited friends. I see a functional medicine doctor, and she has been helping me to tweak everything. Food is medicine. God created the veggies, fruit, and herbs for our benefit. But, after the flood, He gave Noah the right to eat meat by means of ethics. He gave us His guidelines on how to grow our food and treat our livestock. And our government and big corporations have been raping God's Way. Anyway, thank you again for your absolute and appreciated truth.

Thanks Meghan for your channel. I am glad I was vegetarian ten years ago (for two years) when it was not as mainstream as today. It helped me to quit that dangerous diet more easily with less consequences. But I kept making vegetarian recipes quite often without realizing the absence of animal food was not the only danger. I don't eat legumes (beans) anymore for example and I am more cautious with my food provenance, thanks to carnivore grass fed channels such as your's. 💜

I’m mostly ovo-vegetarian. Tried veganism for a day. I realized to make up the protein from my daily 4 eggs I’d have to eat 2 more cups of beans everyday. This would make 3.5 cups of bean as I already eat 1.5 cups. That’s too many beans/carbs/fiber. I’ve decided to stick with eggs.

Cannot get how young you are in years! Post vegan, yes please! Taking your definition into my heart. Thank you! As for the hate... a lot of projection is happening. Like projecting our own pain and trauma onto animals, actually. The wanting to PROHIBIT, STOP that suffering... And the identification with an idea is so sweet that it can take a long time before we feel that sour and that bitter too. Discovering we have been blinded is painful... I wish every (young) beautiful vegan human your compassionate voice to listen to, when and until she, or he, is ready to hear...

Great video! And it is great you are being so authentic and honest. There is no "right" way to do vegan. Some might just show deterioration earlier than others. Genes, other environmental toxins and such. I thought Fruitarianism was the way to go. Felt great, AT FIRST (Because I had removed all the plant antinutrients obviously) Then not so much anymore and I "cheated" whenever I had an opportunity (vacation) - but soon I gave up Fruitarianism and went on for another year of usual veganism. But then the massive bloating came back, and still felt so tired, depressed... Difficult decision to make, going back to meat eating. But when you investigate and educate yourself, you realise how misinformed you were. About veganism being cruelty free..when it is not at all. And then you feel so much better.

I was never a vegan, I was vegetarian but I didn’t like most dairy foods so i wasn’t eating much animal products, including eggs which I almost never ate. I did eat fish once in a while towards the end that’s why I never really named myself anything so ppl wouldn’t get upset. Even with that after 7 years I noticed differences that I wasn’t happy with, I never really had cravings for meats so I thought I was ok. Before being a vegetarian my diet consisted of mostly beef products and dairy , in my country we eat every part of the cow. I first notice how my body didn’t regenerate muscle anymore , I would work out like before but my body took no shape unlike it used to before. I was often tired spending whole days in bed , I started seeking outside vitamins to see if they would help but often vitamins made me sick. Physically my skin was turning dull and I noticed the right side of my face starting to sag ... also my eyes looked hollow. Ppl would comment that I looked thinner, yet I had gained weight . Thankfully I didn’t get super sick but I woke up one day and decided to eat beef .... my story is nothing like what some have gone trough but even with me eating fish sometimes I still saw huge changes and that’s why I tell the story .

I seem to be getting heartburn from pasteurized milk, bloating from raw milk but heated raw milk or sheep milk seem ok. @@0kurkina0 Bloating = fermentation happening in your gut. So yeah, your gut flora(bacteria) are fermenting the lactose in the milk. The reason goat milk isn't effecting you is because goat milk has less lactose. Drink raw goat milk for optimal health. I have lactose issues too so I drink goat milk more often. Raw cheeses are also wonderful but be sure to limit them to an ounce or 2 since it can cause some blockages if you know what I mean. I had bacterial issues back in the day also, but healed and killed them off with a sugar free carnivore diet. Try it out.
