There's excellent vietnamese food in San Jose and the south bay. Pho Morgan Hill is so good. They're opening up a Hue based place in San Jose too.

If your still in the Dallas area, check out my favorite Vietnamese vegetarian restaurant, D'Vegan in Garland. Nó rất rất ngon! Your channel has really helped me to learn Vietnamese. Retiring to Vietnam next October. Love the people, culture, food, and everything that Vietnam has to offer. I tell people that I'm moving to Sài Gòn to escape the Texas heat!!

Vegetarian Vietnamese restaurants are so rare. Being a Buddhist practitione, it's hard to find even Chinese restaurants with tofu options. 😂

I moved to Oroville so now there is nothing close. The Panda Express doesn't even have eggplant tofu on the menu. I liked Loving Hut too when I liked in Elk Grove, but they always get me order wrong: no garlic or onions (white or green). Following the rule of no five pungent spices causes alot of confusion in the Asian community even some westerners when I eat out. I will refer to the sutra or just say I can't eat it. There is another restaurant which is good in Sacramento but I refuse to give them my business anymore.

Nice a place I haven’t tried in the DFW. There is actually a lot of Hue people in Texas. Refugees from Hue often landed in Arlington or Port Arthur. A lot of the restaurants are Hue. In fact Ba Le’s owner from the previous video I believe is Hue. They just speak Nam dialect.

Why? There are huge communities of South Vietnamese refugees in the states of Florida, Texas and California. We cook everything when it comes to traditional dishes. Even here in Canada, if you go to Toronto or Mississauga or Calgary or Montreal; you’ll find all those dishes and more even when the Vietnamese communities in Canada is a lot smaller than ones the US.

i didn’t understand what your Word of the Day WAS!?! Orange spots? Dirty shirt? Messy? Oops? As often happens, your subtitles cover up each other, but usually you have the WOTD at a separate place too, and you didn’t this time. BTW, fish sauce is nuoc mam; nuoc cham is the orangish sauce, sometimes called “carrot sauce” in English, but does not necessarily have carrots in it. Nuoc mam is an INGREDIENT in it, it is NOT called fish sauce. Your Vietnamese is better than mine will ever be, but i’ve been cooking VN food for nearly 40 years, and i can school you when it comes to food ingredients and names! Wish you’d come to the West Coast when you’re in the States!! Love you and your videos!

i guess you can’t have pictures in. the comments! but anyway, fish sauce-nuoc mam-is clear brown and i have never seen it by itself at a restaurant, so i’m pretty sure all the times you are saying fish sauce you are referring to nuoc cham. Which is DELICIOUS: Nuoc mam is NOT until you ADD it to stuff! and whatever you do, don’t break the bottle!!! it will stink for WEEKS!!!!!😂
