its good to learn how to do some stuff yourself to save tons of money yk. im 21, i picked up my ls430 a little over a year ago, i spent the first 6 months replacing my valve cover gasket, timing belt and water pump, starter, transmission filter and fluid, diff fluid, brake rotors, pads, and all of my vacuum hoses. I got a quote from a shop just because i was curious and multiple shops quoted 5k for it all, i bought the parts and did it myself and it just costed me about 800 in parts lol good save. unless you just dont have the time to do it then it makes sense to take it to a shop

Very clean LS bra!! I noticed that u didnt reveal wat ya paid, but thats kool, i can come with my own figure!! Lol!! I agree with wat ya say about dealerships 4 the most part, but 4 smaller repairs like evap, radiator, brakes, valve covers, dealerships charge out the ass!! I live in south Ga, and the rate per hour at the nissan dealership is 150.00 hr.!! I would assume at a Lexus joint ur looking at close 2 200 or more!! Timing belt, Rear Main Seal & others depending on where there at i agree with the dealership, cause there labor intensive jobs!! As many cars as u seem to buy, i wouldnt doubt that u pop up with another whip here soon!!! With as many cars as u have and them being aged, it would be good 2 start doing alot of ur maintence and mods 2 ya whips, will save ya alot of money in the long run and give ya more content!! Just my 2 cents from watching ya vids bra!! There is 1 more thing bra, it us July why do u were sweatshirts, hope i aint cing ya where gear like that in August!!! Ive never been to California, but im sure it gets hot!! U would die here in South Ga!! Good vid, Diggin the ryde!! 😎✌

recently bought a 95 ls400. Runs smooth. but dealer did inform me about the cat on the driver side not being replaced. How urgent is it to get that fixed? Appreciate your insight and content.
@CarAdventuresWithReg Жыл бұрын
Congrats bro! If you live in a state where you have to smog, I’ll say it’s urgent because they test the cats. I hope that helps and thanks for watching bro 💯💯

The LS400 is so good you can jump a tooth, or maybe two in timing and the car will still run great. But just hope that doesn't happen because 95+ LS400's are interference motors. 90-94 are not interference but can still cause damage.

I took my 1990 LS400 in for a starter that sounded like it was going out. Whilst in there, it turned out that it needed a replacement steering rack and four new struts. Total cost was $6,500. The car had 160k on it. It was worth about $2k when I took it in and was worth about $2k when I drove it out. Welcome to the world of depreciating assets. It was *TOTALLY* worth it. The car gave me 150k miles with no issues. ( bought w' 85k ). I sold it after my ID was stolen and I became a 3-time felon with no job.

It’s gonna keep going for another 150k

timing belt and water pump kit is $250, drive belt is $20, thermostat is $25, radiator is $70, coolant hose is $35 and you could've done that all yourself in 2 hours for free. The only thing I would've had them do at the dealer is nothing. You could've got your evap system for way cheap anywhere else. Why don't you work on your own car? Are you a millionaire?
@robertgardner4508 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm not going to try tearing apart the entire front end of my engine to do my timing belt in my apartments parking lot on my LS400. I do what work I can do my self, but since you're just so good you can come do all these repairs on my car for me in under 2 hours, even if my car doesn't need them! :D I'll just have my mechanic, or the dealer do the timing belt service for me. I'll go other places for other work. 👍 Plus to each their own if someone can afford the dealership, and that's what they like then more power to them, you can go use your super powers on your cars, and other people will go to dealers, or shops. Don't worry about them. xD

Show me you doing the timing belt on that car in 2 hours and ill sign you over the title to all 3 of my cars.

@@SpoonMan94 That's about how long it took me to do my timing belt and water pump on my LS400. Give me the title to all of your shitty American cars now so that I can trade them in for another Lexus.
