That’s the fastest way in my opinion. Still a good tip on the key fob. I don’t see myself using it in that fashion

Doesn't work all the time. If it's finished charging and gone to sleep pushing the button seems to start it charging again. When this happens I can't get the charging to stop and release the port. I have a 2020 MS.

I will spread it around as wide as I could! Thanks for that great discovery, life became so much easier now to use that charging port without opening the phone app or jumping into the car to open it.

Just used this tipa to plug in my 2014 model S. Faster than waiting for the screens to boot up when you get in (power saving mode); and I have downloaded the manual, but not read the 270+ pages of it - so thanks for the tip!

Sorry, but my car did not come with a manual and I did not want to spend hours looking at my screen on the car. Based on the comments I’m not the only one who did not know about this little nugget of information. Lol.

@@williewilliams9871 that explains it. In the car's main screen at the top, search for manual. Then you can always get the latest manual matching the latest software 😁 Happy driving!
