Hey everyone, there are many comments saying I did not give this game a fair chance and missed certain game mechanics, and I will say these opinions are completely valid. This was a quick, non-serious recording session where I looked at a game that has mixed reviews on Steam, and gave my honest thoughts and experience. I did not expect it to spark such controversy, and I am sorry for disappointing a lot of you with my content. Regardless, I appreciate all the criticism and feedback I've been given on this video, and hope you all have a great day!

I think this game kinda sucks. 🤔 😂
@ccea_3050Ай бұрын
The reason this game has mixed reviews is that the game's international server (Steam ver.) has better gacha rates, lower prices, and allows players to buy skins with non-premium currency compared to the CN ver. So many CN players are review-bombing the game on Steam. There are 22% CN review, and they contribute more negative review than all other languages combined.

The fact that u said paper mechanic has little value in the comment only shows how superficial your understanding of the game is. It's like playing as a sniper in other shooter games but not using scope, which is incredibly stupid. U have the right to voice out your opinions but so do I, and I'd say your opinions for this game is heavily biased towards your personal bias and taste, and with how low your understanding of the game is, ppl should not believe you on face value n instead try the game first before deciding. Also the game isnt dying like one of the comment said, heck I bet he never play the game. Not liking a game is fine, but the way you delivered your opinions isn't.
@average-devАй бұрын
everything you are saying is completely valid and fair, and i don't doubt this game has a target audience who love it. i understand the way i portray my opinions seems extreme. you are right, i have little understanding of the game, and am simply bringing my opinions from my experiences playing other shooters. from a new player's standpoint, i don't think this game is setup to successfully bring new people in, but everyone is entitled to an opinion. i don't know what this game's purpose is, or frankly why it exists. i think my personal complaints are valid, as to me, the general gameplay feels extremely lacklustre and delivers unique features with confusing execution. in a world where overwatch is as heavily criticized as it is, i think there's nothing wrong with that i'm saying. maybe i am too narrow-minded, but i did not have fun playing this game. i very much appreciate your criticisms though and despite me trying to be open minded initially with this game and obviously failing, i'll try to be less biased in the future when i review new games. thank you for watching and giving your input :)

@average-devАй бұрын
Special? I'd like to think so lol. As for the paper mechanics, I found there’s often little reason to use them. The tutorial showed a specific use case, but in all the maps I played, I didn’t really encounter scenarios where they felt necessary. Thanks for watching, appreciate your comment :)
@WaraiShiАй бұрын
ive dumped 30-ish hours in the game and the paper mechanics are heavily used in later levels and ranks. like flying and walking as paper reduces footsteps!
@andoryusАй бұрын
@@average-dev The paper mechanic is insanely useful though lol you use it when you're reloading in front of a person they can't kill you, you set the mechanic on hold instead of toggle and you can hold the button while occasionally shooting which gives you a massive advantage in fights, while running away or in a sticky situation like a 1v2/1v3 you can do a mix of that while also sticking onto walls and then coming out shooting and just jumping around, sticking onto walls again etc. The only reason you find little reason to use them is because you have no idea how to actually take advantage of using such mechanics.
@average-devАй бұрын
interesting, i did not know it would reduce footsteps. i guess for me it's not mentioned in the tutorial stages. i understand game mechanics don't always need to be pointed out (for games that aren't competitive shooters?), but the way the tutorial introduced it, it showed you can squeeze through areas, and that seemed like the end of it. thanks for the information though, that is an interesting mechanic in that sense. you're right @andoryus, i have no idea how to use it, but it'd make sense for this very strange mechanic to be properly taught, no? i can't be the only one thinking this? the entire conclusion of this video is the execution of this game is not done well, despite what obscure mechanics i may have missed, i think my point is valid and would resonate with most players who are just jumping in.
@andoryusАй бұрын
@@average-dev Well arguably Moba games such as League of Legends and DOTA teaches players far less than any multiplayer game currently out and they're insanely popular games. The experience for new players for lots of games is not easy. You can't expect to be hand held all the time otherwise it comes off as disrespectful to one's intellectual capability. Learning the hard part of games through experience is mostly preferred by players or you'd have something like the new Dragon Age game where they hold your hand throughout the entire game even go so far as to tell the player 3-4 times where a place to go is or saying the square fits into a square hole and it becomes too much. Idk for me shouldn't learning be part of the fun? And if you don't want to learn and don't have fun doing so, it just probably means that you came into the game already with some expectation whether it be your distaste for the game before playing or a high expectation before playing which either confirms your dislike for it or becomes a let down.
@SoulWhiteAngelАй бұрын
Yea the game usually starts you with bots early. Mings gun is just not as great at long ranges but the character is one of the best. 12:15 you unlock secondary weapons as you level and once you have unlocked ranked you have most secondaries and most throwables unlocked. As well as at least 1 or 2 characters which could be a sniper or shotgun which they dont give you at the start. Maddelinas paint makes enemies unable to use stringify and slows them. Its unfortunate you didnt like the game but its fair, its not for everyone. Hope you find something new you like in the future!
@average-devАй бұрын
Thanks for the pointers, and I really appreciate your perspective and comment. This is not my type of game, that is certain, but I feel I would've enjoyed it more if certain things were obvious. Such as, why not display locked weapons to show the user weapons can actually be unlocked? I was under the impression that there just have not been other weapons implemented yet. I'm starting to learn a lot about the game simply just from the comments and it sounds more appealing now that I have a better understanding of all the different mechanics. I think the game should do a better job at making things more clear. Thanks for watching and thank you for pointing those things out!
@SoulWhiteAngelАй бұрын
@average-dev hey no problem im glad I could help I do actually understand the weapon locked system. It shows in the agents screen that they are locked but doesnt show in game which is a little odd to me. I know one of the reasons why it has mixed reviews is cause of the region lock system but they decided to implement a feature to remove that for all but high ping players (so games dont have f.e. an enemy running into a wall taking all the dmg without dying) but itll take till dec 20th to implement which imo is understandable.

Dude has NO CLUE what the game is. Main mode (with ranked) is 5v5 demolition with bomb planting/defuse, first team to 7 wins. Also paper mode, gliding, wall climbing and double jump make for very enjoyable gun fights which you entirely ignored!

The game is not call of duty bruh so its not for everyone the same how i dislike playing overrated repetitive modern shooter game like Call of duty (i enjoyed tarkov tho), because i been there for years already.. old games need innovation and this game achieved most of it like how Fortnite beat PUBG on BR games. This game has playstyle mix of Apex Legends + OW + CS2 which make it all complex but fun once you get a hang of it. Also does no one even remember the resemblance of it on the iconic action game called GunZ? Whats really shit on this game that i think the reason why it wont become a popular esport is the paper mode, no weapon buy/sell every round like CS/Valo for demolition gamemode and its art style. Current demolition gamemode just lacks variety to keep the tactical game intact and worries about this bullet sponges, economy and realism that most audience really look forward to on being perfect its really a tactical game.. but hey.. some people are just getting tired of realism and they just looking for that 50/50 no skill/tryhard gameplay like what this game already offer.. unlike any successful tactical/esport shooter games out there like valo/cs2

brother you are making IGN look like a competent game reviewer. It would have taken you a couple more minutes of reading through the character tab in the main menu. the paper mechanic is also explained in the tutorial and you seemingly got amnesia and completely forgot literally the entire mechanic the game tried to teach you. Its a little concerning that outside pressing W and mouse 1 you picked up literally nothing. I'm not trying to hate on you and be rude however it is a little alarming that you failed to grasp simple mechanics in a third person anime shooter which in my opinion is not very mentally demanding. i know you probably don't care and i don't blame you, i could see how it would be easy to write of this kind of a game, i think you squandered a opportunity to get some more serious viewership and if you are going to go to the lengths to record a video and upload it, a few more moments of attention could go a long way. i dont think the game is a masterpiece by any means, its very flawed and utterly rips off counter strikes Dust 2 layout almost 1 for 1 which is alarming, however as fa ra s gameplay goes it was better for me since i play a lot of cs already. i also think the TTK is a little obnoxious in many scenarios. 1v2s against people with some aim and awareness is not really that feasible along with the 3rd person advantage where people can hold a corner without you seeing them which is always extremely goofy.
@average-devАй бұрын
Yeah, I will say, this is not my greatest video by any means, and I do agree with what you’re saying. I’m not sure if the tutorial broke for me but seriously the only thing I ended up seeing from the paper mechanic was the gliding, going up the sticky walls, and using it to navigate through narrow areas. However, I think most of your criticisms are fair, and the next time I review a game I’ll try and do a better job at keeping a less biased view on things. This was my first time playing and my first impressions, so things are not well planned whereas I think the expectation is this is a game review, and it’s likely my fault for misleading in that way.
@lullypawp3479Ай бұрын
From the tone of your voice it sounds like you came into this with the intent and expectation to be disappointed and even disgusted. The way you delivered not just your opinions but your reactions had this thick air of disdain that begs the question why you even tried to play it knowing full well you wouldn't like it. I would either try coming into things with a more neutral position and forming an opinion afterwards or focusing on things you are actually excited to try and experience.
@average-devАй бұрын
I'd like to think at the beginning I was completely open minded, and can't recognize any kind of disgusted tone in my voice. I think throughout the video I begin to pick up on things that are not my preference, such as the TTK and how the gun handling works, these are very important elements for games I like, and may have contributed to this observation you've noticed as the video goes on. I've already admitted to the fact many times that this video was clearly not well done, and seems to have sparked genuine controversy despite it just being my own subjective opinion of how I felt playing the game. I'm sorry it was not enjoyable for you to watch, but I appreciate your perspective and comment :)

this game clearly has a lot of flaws, and I do agree that the game needs to have better tutorials for its unique mechanic, such as using paper mode to dodge enemy bullets. The game is the first of its kind to have this mechanic, so I think it’s important for new players to learn all about how this mechanic works. However, I do have to criticize you on how you "review" this game. It’s very obvious that most of your expectations going into the game were for it to be bad because of the game's mixed reviews on Steam. Many of these negative reviews were due to issues like region locks or how grindy the game is, not because of the gameplay itself. I believe that when doing an impression or review of a game, you should try to point out both the good and the bad, which is something you didn’t do. Throughout the video, as an audience member, I could only see you complaining about every single aspect of the game. This could suggest to different audiences that you’re trying to nitpick all the flaws in the game, making your video feel very one-sided and biased. I can see that you are trying to understand the game and honestly make a proper review, but nitpicking faults in a game is not a great way to show that it’s bad. I would also suggest avoiding statements like "this game would die within a year" while having a limited knowledge about the game. Although I appreciate your honesty, negative remarks like that can overshadow the rest of your content. I can see that you’re replying to and learning from all comments, including negative ones, which is very commendable, negative comments such as the one above can anger fans or the game’s creators and might generate hate around your channel. Overall, your video has a lot of issues for an impression/review type of video, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. I believe your open-minded attitude will help you improve your reviews in the future. I enjoyed watching you try out the game without any spoilers or prior research, which I think is a unique feature of your channel. I’d love to see more of your reviews and impressions of different games. I just want you to know that you’ve earned a subscriber! Keep up the good work!

I do agree, this video is not the best version of me nor is it a fair look at a game that I think many people do enjoy and I’ve sparked a bit of controversy here. This game is poorly designed and I'm not talking about this trash 2D mechanic. Forget everything you know about aim, throw away your flicking skills or hs %, it only matters your tracking, because you have to SHOOT FOR A DAMN LONG TIME an enemy for them to even fall (Unless you're a shotgun character like Aika or Baimo, they can just 1-2 shot you with no reaction time.). Also, how you spotted, gun recoils hit you like a truck but the guns deal no damage to make sense with that much of recoil. Afterall, people will be just jumping around and shooting you at point blank to guarantee they hit. This game is full of cheaters as of now, since there's no anti-cheating system. I literally spectated a teammate on rankeds that had like perfect recoil control and tracking, melting away enemies on an iron / bronze lobby.
