There's an ornamental grass I want for my yard you may want to consider, 'Little Bluestem.' It is blueish to purple. Doesn't get too tall like 'Karl Forester,' but make sure to get a variety that doesn't self-seed everywhere. Unless you don't mind that.

Absolutely stunning drifts! (Especially behind that boxwood hedge!) I would love to get them next year! I could also picture them near a white crape myrtle, since bloom times would be the same for me (southeastern, Pa) Although, this year my crape myrtles are late to bloom; maybe because of colder Spring this year? The Ultra Violette Phlox is ultra amazing color! A garden with soft colors and bold pops is my favorite. The phlox, rose and hydrangea are great together. 🦋

Absolutely gorgeous! This video reminded me to think about all 4 seasons in the garden. I just moved into a house with mature landscaping so I am unfamiliar with many of the plants. Right now, there is a beautiful crepe myrtle in bloom (it is about the only thing in bloom) so I think it needs something else. I am going to take pictures once a month so I can document the garden as the seasons progress. I am working with a landscaper so I am excited to plan and see the garden change in the next few years.
