The jeans do look nice, a lot more like regular jeans than most others ... but very expensive for AA rating and only level 1 armour. My RST Tech Pro jeans are admittedly double layer in impact areas but they are AAA rated, come with full level 2 armour and cost less than half the price of the Pando's .. they do also look a lot more like bike gear than regular jeans which wont be to everyone's taste ... but the price / protection ratio on them is outstanding ;)

Indeed, anyway when you walk in with your jacket and helmet, there's no point in hiding a pair of moto jeans :P As you say, there's quite a few options around the 250 CA$ mark which really do the job well.
@sn00pgreen

i've just sent back some RST tech pros..just felt heavy and awkward to me..I guess the advantages of these is the weight , but it's quite a hike in price
@MotoGoato
@MotoGoato 3 жыл бұрын
@@sn00pgreen yeah there is always a compromise. The Tech Pros will certainly be heavier than a full single layer jean .. but lighter than full double layer jeans and leathers. They sure aren't perfect but for me the price + the AAA rating were the winning points .. at around £120 (on sale at the time) I couldn't find any others that even came close.

Looking at them I dont think theyre comparable. These are jeans you can comfortably wear all day, and yours are a lot safer, but bulkier. Looking at them I cant imagine being in them for 8 hours at the office (They look much bulkier than my Alpinestars Victory Denim ones, and those are already at least double the weight compared to my regular non-moto jeans). But if you only want them for "fun" riding, weekends, etc., yours look like a much better deal, for sure.
@MotoGoato
@MotoGoato 2 жыл бұрын
@@josecarlosgadeadoncel8157 End of the day it's about whether you value office comfort or crash protection. Personally I buy riding jeans to ride in and wear chinos at my job. I've worn the RSTs for more than 8 hours in a day ... riding and hanging out with biker mates ... yeah they would be a bit warm in the office but still far lighter and more comfortable than trying to wear leathers all day - which, considering they offer the same level of protection as leathers, is a decent achievement for the paltry price of £120. I'm not saying the Pandos are crap ... they are just overpriced for the features they offer. Even Oxford make some AAA rated single layer jeans for just £150 which are directly comparable to the single layer AA Pandos ........

I personally prefer under armor/compression pants which are lighter/cooler to wear and the armor stays in place. I find the armor in most riding pants seem loose and move around too much. Just my opinion of course. Great videos btw!

I have a pair of dyneema jeans from Saint and my only real complaint is they get really hot when you ride hot running bikes like my R6 or Ducatis. In the summer it’s almost unbearable. I don’t have as big of a problem with my Kevlar jeans from Uglybros and Dainese.

A "barbeque" and not a braai😢😭 I know, you gotta cater to the greater audience 😂 but you could teach them about the braai. The apron seemed to be a pretty big deal too🥳🤣 maybe I should buy the apron instead of the pants! Another point is that it's very interesting to see synthetic materials be nearly as effective as the likes of leather!

I have a solution to your potnoodle splashback problem. Before adding in water and sauce take your fork and stab it into the noodles repeatedly until they are broken up good. Add the sauce then add the boiling water but not upto the recommended line, just under the line maybe 5mm-10mm. Aslong you make sure the waters past the top of the noodles a bit. Give it a good stirr so it's mixed up good, leave to cool and voila..your life has been changed! Thank me later
