"Instruction manual: Don't Fall"---Now THAT's my kind of instructions. I HATE heights after I fell backwards off a bale stack as a teen; I finally worked my way back up onto single story roofs but oh, I don't like it one damn bit. Anything higher than that, I'd probably puke, cry, and fall down so I wouldn't have to move. So you did darn good! :) Can't believe you didn't make Pete do the trim work.....shoulda.....I know I would have, and taken pics from the GROUND, thank you so much!

Now that’s a hive removal! I miss my bees and the taste of real honey. Unless you’ve actually tasted “real” honey you’d never know the difference. I wish the video was in Smell-o-vision, I love that smell. I hear ya on the height thing. Just had a windstorm blow the gutters off the back of my house, 2-1/2 stories up. Money is tight, but not tight enough that I wouldn’t hire someone to fix them. 20 year ago, I would have been up there myself hanging them. I did hang them 20 years ago, maybe why they came off? That painting you said was how you feel about the whole thing is a painting my wife remembered her grandmother had when she was little. I used to remove bees a while back , here's a tip for locating where the combs are. Carry an old wire coat hanger or 12 or 14 ga stripped copper electrical wire about 2 feet long. Grab your 3/16th inch drill and make a hole where you suspect they are and insert the wire. If you hit comb you will see it on the wire. It can save a lot of unnecessary destruction and save a lot of time. Cheers!

Rough job. Back in my younger days, I ran an industrial control panel shop, and we also did repairs, upgrades and tear outs. It took a while, but I learned to bid the jobs I didn't really want high enough that if I did get them, the check made up for the grief in the end. My guys knew when they went out on a rough one, there was a fat bonus check in the near future. I always shared the wealth with my employees, and they were the best. Next time, don't hesitate to add in an "altitude" charge, or a "Extra clean and quiet" charge. I did a mezzanine removal of a huge water softener over a floor of operating animal labs, and they didn't care how much we charged, as no one else would even bid on cutting the equipment into little pieces (quietly) and bringing it down 8 floors on a elevator in a couple hundred trips in metal trash cans. I bought cutting tools and charged them 100% of the cost. They didn't care.

I thought we were going to be going through the ceiling to hopefully be able to reach over beams and remove them from the soffit. It was a wide soffit though and I wasn't sure we'd be able to reach all of it that way. A man lift would have been the next consideration but I'm not sure I would have even tried that with it being right on the edge of that marsh. Soft ground and man lifts aren't a good combo.
