I have to admit - I'm 37, been looking for work, was torn from the inside, had been feeling pathetic. Thanks to the internet access I stumbled upon a video of Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman near the well. I started watching the story and in the last week I have witnessed a massive transformation. I feel so blessed, I started reading the Bible again, I got back to believe, I have started feeling much more hopeful, and most importantly I feel that there is a stronger purpose in life. I'm still looking for a work opportunity but I am not feeling sad or pathetic anymore. Praise the Lord.

I do not believe you can represent something so massive like jesus as an actor without having a strong faith jesus himself. Hes phenominal. The show has changed the perception of Jesus for a countless number of people, both Christian and not yet Christian. People who would never go into a church... and not all churches portray Him as loving and forgiving. We learn things about culture, the Roman occupation, the religious leaders, of the day. I haven't watched the entirety of the chosen - still in season 1. I will say, his scene with Mary in the very first episode...it spoke so close to home. Jesus Revolution movie takes place during an important part of American spiritual revival in the hippie movement, those kids were called Jesus Freaks., Life Magazine had a cover photo of hippie kids bring baptized. Jews for Jesus was also birthed in that era.. Alot of kids went from LSD to being on fire for The Lord. The Chosen plays an important role today, and they are trying to reach the youth of today, but this generation needs to open their hearts and minds to the things of God. They need a revival in this day.

The beauty of The Chosen is that it's as reliable an interpretation of scripture as any, framed in a medium that makes it accessible and digestible to EVERYONE. There are aspects of the bible that feel unrighteous, and make us question its authenticity, and then one line in the show adds perspective, like, "Yes, and that's its purpose, to challenge and redefine your faith. Because, what is faith if it all comes from a book? So you find flaws, which force you to recognize that the truth you connected with is greater than the page it was written on, and cannot be undermined by the next page." I know that's not in the show exactly, but similar revelations are and I'm very grateful for them. Thank you!

Nice work. The portrayal of Jesus, his clothes, his 21st century attitude and some scenes and dialog are historically and biblical inaccurate, but it's a terrific acting ! God bless!
