What surprises me is that as a Catholic Jonathan follows a man based religion which is based on man-based idols ie Mary and the Saints. Nowhere is Scripture are we encouraged to venerate Mary as Catholicism does. Perhaps God is using Jonathan to bring him out of heresy and into the truth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light not Mary. I pray He does.

If you think about it, emotions are a requisite for virtue. Without fear, there is no courage. Without sadness or grief, there's no love or compassion. None of the virtues are themselves emotions, but God, in His mercy, has made it such that we need to FEEL like He does in order to ACT in accord with virtue. I find it so powerful that he suggested prayer first, then Bible reading, THEN finding a church. I’m becoming more and more convinced that without a personal relationship with Jesus, attending church is fruitless and even counterproductive.

I am not a Genz I am 76 years and been taught Sunday school at a early age. The show has reopened my heart. And helped me to see the Jesus in the eyes of an old woman. I can hardly wait until the last days come. God pleased open up the sky and let Jesus come down to his people.

In 1968 Jesus showed me what it was like to experience the fullness of God, He said we can have as we grow up in Christ. It’s like this - Jesus is more in me than me. I saw it recently in a friend of mine and I see it in Jonathan. We are the light of the world how else are they going to be drawn to Jesus? Everyone keep praying for The Chosen project and all of the people involved in it!!! Ephesians 3:19 - and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

This interview is so revealing in a deep spiritual way. I’ve followed the chosen. When I first saw Johnathan out of his role as Jesus I was disappointed that he was no longer Jesus. However, in this interview I see Jesus in Johnathan as Johnathan. It might be because Jennie is in the spirit as well. Where 2 are more are gathered in my name, I am there. I know the Holy Spirit got a spirit filled sister who councils and hears the voice of the Holy Spirit and Jesus, at a Divine Mercy Retreat, tell me that I must watch The Chosen and be Still, to get closer to Jesus, so I am confident Jesus is proud of Jonathan for the role he plays to brings millions closer to Our Lord Jesus Christ. - The Chosen changed my life, but it was Jesus who got me to The Chose and so I glorify and worship Him every time.

I love the show. Because of its emotion and I think anyone who is on a serious spiritual journey - Christian or not- can identify with the role of Jesus and the dynamics of his disciples, and the rest of the world that reacts to him. We all learn. I always loved Jesus naturally, and I enjoy seeing him portrayed as a deep human being of divine origin. Something we all are if we only look close enough! I don’t even know if the show intends it or not but to me it’s really going beyond a dogmatic religious angle, it managed to capture a genuine sentiment we all have! Imagine that Jesus came today, would we recognize him? What would he say about what we think God is… and what would he do?

Hi Jennie! Hi Jonathan. I have been watching and weeping through The Chosen since its inception. It's AMAZING. Jenny, I came to your IF Gathering in Austin with my riding student Alli Shinn several years ago. Alli won tickets to tje conference with her essay she wrote about my farm. 💕 The IF Gathering was AMAZING too! I ended up holding an IF table in my home for about a year. I love the humility from Jonathan and how he plays the role of Jesus. There was something I saw ..and I was wondering why, It looked as if he is wearing a ring with a skull.. That seems a little bit strange..does anybody know why???from a chosen fan from the Netherlands

It is from a Catholic devotion called Memento Mori. It means 'remember death is coming.' The skull is a reminder to do what is right, because you could die at any moment. You can research it on the Internet if you are interested. Jonathan has said that the ring he wears was a gift to him from a nun who was a devotee of Memento Mori.

I have been a fan of Three Dog Night. Jonathon strongly resembles Chuck Negron of that band. His life was tragedy after tragedy, with a remarkable recovery and Chuck is still living his dream, recovered. It would be remarkable to put story this into a single movie, develop voice and character of Chuck, and find the two characters to play Cory Wells and Danny Hutton. But that would be a hit for sure.

How You Can Have Eternal Life ! Realize you are a sinner being sorry. Sin is lying, evil thoughts, lust,etc. Therefore, do not trust in your own works to go to heaven because you realize, being a sinner, you cannot offer the perfect blood sacrifice that God requires to pay for sin. The Chosen is just a tv show loosely inspired by the Gospel. It is a good show to be entertained. But if you really want to know Our Lord, The Chosen is the last place you should go. The tv Jesus is very far from the original.

Entertainment is not what describes the chosen series. It’s information about our God and the way to Heaven. What are your contributions so far? At the judgment seat of Christ we’ll see what the Lord thinks of it. “Who are you to judge another man’s servant?”
