I became Catholic in 2010. I am a bit of a late comer to The Chosen. I've binge watched both seasons multiple times. I boldly and with far less humility than I should have, predict that The Chosen is going to convert many people to Catholicism. We have a Catholic Jesus playing Jesus. How cool is that?! Thanks to everyone involved with the production of The Chosen. It's remarkable.

Visiting friends in another state, I was introduced to The Chosen. Watching the series has been a life changer for me. I am now delving deeper into my faith as I wait excitedly for season 3. It was an incredible honor to be part of that amazing day! To step into the 1st Century and experience what it may have been like to sit at the feet of Jesus was life altering. It would have been maybe a teensy bit more pleasant to have had warmer weather, but every bit of it, from the 5am Covid testing, to greeting Dallas before getting on one of the last buses to leave, is an experience that I'll never forget. Blessings to everyone that went all in for Jesus in order to participate in The Sermon On The Mount. What an experience that must have been & I would've stood until my toes & fingers fell off just to hear & participate in The Sermon. To witness Jonathan as Jesus delivering The Sermon On The Mount, starting with the Beatitudes must have been the most moving, touching, heartwarming, spectacular & life changing moment ever. I love watching 'The Chosen'. It is soo inspirational. The great actors. The scenes and cinematography n all that's done is perfect. I grew up being Catholic. Then in 1977 my sister accepted Jesus Christ as her Sacior n Lord at her friends Christian church n it changed her life completely. I wanted what she had - soo much joy n peace n could not stop talking about Jesus. So one year later, I accepted Jesus Christ in my heart as my Savior n Lord. Then attending her Christian Church. Learned so much abt reading the bible. Jonathan's portrayal of Jesus is so right on. Outstanding! Watch it all the time n even go to the theatre to watch the specials. I'm a practicing Catholic and I LOVE THE CHOSEN!!! I was skeptical about their approach, specially to Our Lady after seeing 'the shepherd" but HATS OFF! The encounter with Mary at Canaan Wed. was so beautiful and respectful and a lot like our perspective as Marian people of faith! Catholic religion is a stronghold of Satan and has been from the beginning. Your best time spent, is to know for yourself the Scriptures by praying (to God and no one else) and reading. I was born a Catholic and when actually re-born as a child of God, I studied religions and history. The church are the followers of Christ with 2 or more together. Not followers of a religion. You can find all that out in the Scriptures! The Bible has all the answers. Our world is full of deceptions, be careful and know the Truth for yourself. The path to hell is wide and the path to heaven is narrow. God Bless!

Thanks for this wonderful interview! If filming was on February 11, that was the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes; surely that can be no coincidence, and I have no doubt that the Blessed Mother was behind it all. Jonathan im not a child but I am in remission from leukemia four years ago! I just don’t understand why I’m here but I’ve lost a younger cousin who was 41 ten years ago to colon cancer..so I guess He has His purpose for me...I just live to see what He has in store for me..not trying so hard to make life happen..just letting it happen!

As an ardent, orthodox Catholic, I can say that season 1 was absolutely in line with Catholic Church teaching. I even reaching out to the creator, Mr Jenkins early on (before season 1 aired) and asked that he avoid conflicting positions with Catholic teachings (Mary’s perpetual virginity being the obvious focal point) and he replied that that was his goal. The fact that the star (Jonathan Roumie) appears to be a devout Catholic is a great reassurance that they will continue that position.

I think it's beautiful Jonathan! I was brought up Catholic when I was a young girl now I am almost 54 years old at this time in my life I do not believe in denomination but I do believe in Jesus Christ I believe he died for our sins I Believe In The word and I believe in the Ten Commandments I am a spiritual follower I believe in having a relationship with Jesus one-on-one. I love the Chosen and my twenty-year-old disciple, that's what I call him because he's born again at 17. This is so neat for me -last night I just watched Season 2 Ep. 8 "Beyond Mountains" - I was so moved and read some of those passages that night too (to put visual to the page!!).
