The police in South Africa should focus on safety first and not stupidly asking someone if they're foreigners and that's not a welcoming mentality, rather it sounds like a target. A white man comes into the country they won't ask him if he/she is a foreigner despite how different he/she looks. A Nigerian who is married to a South African woman being asked that question has a reason to be upset especially if he is not committing any crime.

There are lots of misunderstanding among Africans about Nigerians and that has to stop, somebody cannot be branded a thief unless caught stealing even then the law has to take it's own cause. Nigerians do not treat other Africans the way they treat Nigerians, every African should be treated the same, stop and search are being frowned upon in Asia and North America unless it is the law of that country otherwise why stop a particular ethnic group to search them and ask about their documents on the street Nigeria doesn't do that to another Africans in Nigeria. I was surprised to read about comment made by a South African that during apartheid no African country helped South Africa as many was European colony at that time. I am pained that many Africans don't even know where East, West, North and South African begin and ended, Nigeria is one country that has supported financially, militarily etc. to every part of this continent, please if you disagree with this write up go and consult the archive and that being said Nigeria deserve some respect from these African countries

You don't stop a person and make him feel he is a foreigner which means he was been targeted in the first place. Try and understand this fact, there is always a perception on both sides negative or positive so the question is how do you change this to a positive outcome. It is easy to always blame a foreigner for every crime that happens. SA is different from Kenya, Kenya is different from Cameroon we are different to an extent but have you taken your time to understand the differences and do you accept it. However we all are capable of loving each other. You do not put each other down because you don't like the way he speaks or he speaks loud. This is an issue all over the world even the great country America, people still criticise them for being loud and aggressive so how do you win in this issue?

I have a problem with the way people use the term “Nigerians” in relation to this topic. It’s not Nigerian children nor Nigerian women who are engaged in this behaviour but Nigerian men! And South African society never makes that distinction, ignorantly. On the show Vimba for example. the lady host was telling a Nigerian kid who was standing in for his uncle at a shop that, “Your uncle is a criminal, your uncle is a bad man”. Who the hell does that? They are 70 percent of all Ghanaians armed robberies and ritual killing crimes and even worse on others crimes!. +Some people react towards nigerians accusations as if it's only one country accusing Nigerians it's worse in Ghana and Ghanaians are soon coming out to request all nigerians without legal documents tomorrow leave the country. They are about 14 million in Ghanaian deceiving young girls and killing some for rituals and teaching the youth in armed robberies. Nigerians can only stay on their own country because of the mentality and empty ignorance, no country wants them but in Ghana they are just too many there. Because of that useless illegal ecowas that it's agreement was signed by a Military administration in 1975. Ghanaians are coming out soon to demand a referendum on that long long time ago authoritarian undemocratic agreement or they should cancel it all together.

@@us7wqtrnek7uu I don't understand the terms that you have used. However, if Nigerian do not accept that evil conducts generally and always ignorantly stick to their arrogant sayings that because the countries jealous them whilst there are absolutely nothing to jealous about Nigerians apart from their own evil crimes and uselessness of their mentality, then we should all wait and see that Ghanaians are going to come out and demand that all nigerians without documentations be removed from the country and that is definitely going to happen in due coursem
