Emaswati are used to going ekhaya every month end or weekend. You should arrange to travel for Xmas every 2-4 years. Marriage in East Africa isn't cumbersome like in Southern Africa. The workload and expectations are too much. There's a Zimbabwean married to a Ugandan and was shocked by the drastic difference. Home sickness is tough but I hope messenger apps bridge the gap.

I travel every year just not during the festive season. And yes EmaSwati are home every weekend the country is very small so travelling home is usually between 1-4 hours for most nothing beyond 4 hours

Thanks madam for the words of wisdom 😇 • Hustles could pay more than a 9-5 job • Most 'foreigners' making it big are humble individuals willing to take on any jobs. • The hatred for foreigners in SA is a result of jealousy, in my opinion.

I see our brothers from Nigeria are in a disbelief that they are unwelcome all over the world given a repudiation they receive from other countries any time this issue comes up. The question is what the common denominator is it that the world has conspired against Naija, or it is Naija that that has conspired against the world. What the world is witnessing is the people who have worked hard, done everything to run away from a jungle but have JAPA with a jungle in their head. These are behaviors that have been incubated for those 60 years and normalized. When Nigerians move to other countries, they always get culture shocks to find people are not screaming at each other, not every car is hooking, generator buzzing, maniac driving, peeing on the road. Many years of military rule, corruption on mega scale, impunity, opulence entitlement has created the Nigeria we have today. A number of Nigerians seem to revert to the very behaviors that has destroyed their country whenever their JAPA. This issue can be solved if Nigerians can stop JAPA stay home and confront their corrupted leaders. Running to the ready-made green pasture outside is not going to help solve the problem. Nigerians are inherently people who hate and fear risk, love life too much and that is the source of luck of discipline, they need a country with strong institutions and iron clad systems. Nigeria thrives better in countries with strong and strict systems.
