The company I work for so far it seems except by pay groups, and it seems screw people on their yearly bonuses. Even tho people work more over time, they are supposed to earn more but one year some people seem didn't earn very much.

just a statistical analysis, there are more jobs which womens can't do then there are jobs men cannot do, be it a evolution trait that we are stronger and endure much more manual labour. more women also don't want to work then more men, analysis of these issues are so easy but they are deliberate into believing men and women the surplus value they are stealing, they are stealing our wages and make us fight for it.

All joking aside, the wage gap is a myth. In fact, per a recent Google study, female engineers were overpaid. The stats come from averaging income of both genders without multivariate analysis, not taking in to account men are the overwhelmingly going into physically demanding and trades jobs, STEM degrees, etc. Women still have almost the exact same top 20 jobs as before suffrage except HR is there and some home labor jobs aren’t there. Interestingly too, the more liberal and egalitarian a country is, the wider the gap and the more women go into lower paying jobs (willingly) like in Scandinavian countries.

@loosilu The article does not state that information, but the hours are artificially high because the data includes the whole world, including areas with a high amount of women not having the opportunity to work

@@loosilu except it's already been definitively debunked by multiple organizations. Once you control for things like career field, hours worked, years in career, etc, the "wage gap" essentially disappears. Job-for-job there is no gap. Which should be immediately obvious to anyone with a functional critical thinking process since it's literally illegal to pay men and women differently for doing the same job.

@@jsquared1013 I don't think that companies just offer men higher wages, but I think men on average are better at negotiating and advocating for their skills/experiences than women are (again on average), so that also results in the gap.I have also heard arguments that men switch jobs more often than women so their wages go up, but I am not sure if that is the case. With that being said, in my friends group, the guys have switched companies more often than the girls.

The wage gap was disproven (in the USA anyway) in the 1970s by Thomas Sowell, where his data showed that corporate, career women (meaning women who decided to pursue their careers over having children) actually made MORE money than men in the corporate world. The data has continued to support Thomas Sowell's original conclusion.
