Of course he did. Humour is ALWAYS at the expense of someone or something - sometimes light and sometimes offensive and also sometimes hidden. The 'insult' is suggesting that women can't handle being wrong are indecisive, pedantic etc etc. I'm not saying that is correct or what I think but that's what the whole undertone is for those particular parts.
