I'm 70 years old , I have farmed ever since I graduated high school. Actually I farmed my whole life, When I was a child I knew I was going to farm, it was the only thing I wanted to do. I am just like this man , he is a true American. I'm just as excited about starting this crop as I was my first one in 1970.

I don't earn a lot I have no exams no grades, Ive never claimed for anything never been unemployed because I've always taken anything I could for my family and my pride. Reminds me of my pawpaw, grew up on a cotton farm with 10 brothers and 6 sisters, lost his dad when he was seven, but he learned to be a carpenter when he was a teenager and built his own business, 74 right now and can outwork any 20 year old.

I appreciate farmers so very much. I grew up with a step dad who farmed tobacco. It taught me so many valuable lessons. Everyone in the community farmed even if it was just a little. I helped in the tobacco field with many neighbors. Things are so different now and it is sad really in my opinion. I'm glad I had that opportunity of farmlife when I was growing up! I tell my children about it.
