Two comments on your video. Congratulation and thanks for your interpretation giving evidence for some real skills. Second is to remember we all are dealing with an original song of a twelve years old girl. This ennobling of a fresh catchy song started with Taylor Swift I guess in her age of 16 years. I am so interested in what to come in the future, not only on 08/23. Her mother Tina V. seems perfectly play the role of a well experienced coach, just like T. Swift`s mother did in Taytay`s early years. See on YT.

I don't know my name I don't play by the rules of the game So you said I'm just trying Just trying So I heard you are my sisters friend You get along quite nicely You ask me why I cut my hair And change myself completely I don't know my name I don't play by the rules of the game So you say I'm just trying Just trying I went from bland and popular To joining the marching band I made the closest friends I'll ever have in my life time I am lost Trying to get found In an ocean of people Please don't ask me any questions There'll be a valid answer, I'll just say that I don't know my name I don't play by the rules of game So you say I'm just trying Just trying I now know my name I don't play by the rules of the game So you say, I'm not trying But I'm trying To find my way Read more: Grace VanderWaal - I Don't Know My Name Lyrics | MetroLyrics

This is not the right key. This is flatter than her song. I played it in my key and it sounded exactly like her. the first few knows are F(i) Eb(don't) Db(know) Ab(my) Gb(name). Yours is in a flatter key but mine is in the key of D flat Major/B flat minor. This key that youre playing sounds like it, but its not the correct pitch. Listen to it again.
@AmosdollMusic8 жыл бұрын
I played this based on her acoustic version on her channel (not her actual got talent audition one). It is this key for that one.
@mariagomez34168 жыл бұрын
Soranthio I prefer the key she played on AGT way better than this simple and easier key of C Maj. To me, the flat key sounds and conveys her message better, but anyway it's just my opinion. She might as well like singing it in different keys, and it's still a great song.
@mariagomez34168 жыл бұрын
Actually, I've only realised she actually changed key for 'light the sky as well' which is is on her channel and she says that's her original... When I first liste de to it, it just didn't sound as ' nice' and 'emocional' to me as the one she played in AGT! And it's the same thing again, she was playing it in D flat instead of C Maj.. ! This just shows how they asked her to rearrange the song playing in flat keys since the coaches they have knew it would definitely sound better conveying the emotions and message better which makes it a greater song. Nonetheless, hats off to her brilliant original songs even if they need some arragement it's amazing anyone that age can compose and get to so many ppl all over the world!. But there's always some tricks in these tv programs which is something I hate. If she sings and compose in an easier key, they shouldn't have changed it if they really want en to show us a real raw talent!! since any musician knows the greater difference there is when changing these keys and how it makes an impact emotionally on the audience playing one or another.. Once it becomes famous then if you change keys, general audience will like any key but it's First impressions that actually matters and make an impact! They sure knew how to make it in AGT!

its possible she's a 12 year old girl who hasn't been educated yet on keeping the same pitch. maybe she's just good at singing by the ear. either way I like both versions and ill try both pitches on my keyboard later. GREAT TUTORIAL THO wish u did a full.
