I love your chatty videos Alice! I completely get that you are unsure of which videos to do now that you've finished uni, but i would enjoy seeing more about your freelance and things like that! To be honest, whatever you feel like really!

I love your vlogs and to be fair I watch any of your videos because I like your personality and always enjoy your videos 😊 don't worry about feeling lost after leaving uni, I know exactly how you're feeling and I didn't know what I wanted to do and where my life was heading, and I'm still not 100% sure, but I try not to worry about it as much now. It's fine to take life as it comes and not plan too far ahead, you'll find your way 🙂

love your raw wednesdays so much! i will be honest i'll probably watch more of your vlogs/hauls rather than design work as im not the designer type - but i found the engagement talk/clique-ness really interesting! i've been on youtube creating for 3 and a half years but don't really have any creator friends so i don't get shouted out or anything like that however when i did some shoutouts (including you) i got so much support in return! i dunno what i'm gunna do with my channel post uni as i wanna work with children so idk if having a channel would be appropriate but i do see teachers with channels so who knows, but thank you for all the honesty!

Alice, I’ve recently made a new account but have been following you for about 3 years now and have never commented on anyones videos before. Hearing you say creators and viewers should show their support couldn’t have hit home more and I wanted to say that watching you grow as a person has been amazing and your content couldn’t be better. I’m going to now make a conscious effort to be more present with videos. You work so hard at what you do and honestly you should go easier on yourself. I know it’s difficult as you’re a perfectionist (like me haha!) but I promise it will all work out in the end. Lots of love your way gal 💕

Hey Alice! I love how honest you are in this video. As a matter of fact, I would advise you to just create content that makes you happy because one can see if the heart is put in a work and that work will get naturally recognized and appreciated. So dont be that hars on yourself. Just acknowledge the fact that uni is over and yes you started as uni oriented chanel but that doesnt mean that we watch you only for those kind of videos. We love your perosnality and the way you are and that makes your content amazing. So just stay true, honest and do whatever makes you happy regarding your content and life right now. Lots of Love. xx

Hi Alice, I have enjoyed following you through your university journey. I find you extremely relatable and easy to watch. I enjoy watching your vlogs and the tall hauls you do. I have always struggled to find ‘my style’ being 5ft9 a lot of the high street shops just don’t have the choice for us taller girls, so it is really useful to be able to see what’s out there and an opinion on them. I have my own business and have a 4 year old so have very limited time to browse the internet looking for clothes which is why you help me no end. I really hope you keep going with KZbin. X

Hey lovely! I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way, I think this is natural for a lot (if not everyone) of people that come out of uni, it’s the what the heck do I do now realisation and this is what makes you so relatable. your uni videos were amazing but that was one part of your life and we are all here for the journey, for your journey wherever that takes you. Please don’t feel like you need to categorise yourself. You are made up of so many different things, you do great advice videos, you bring light to more ‘taboo’ subjects. You’re a designer, you let us in to your life and provide and escape for so many people. You’re the internet’s big sister that is still on your own personal journey to self discovery. Be proud of where you are right now, embrace the uncertainty. Create whatever feels good for YOU and that may change from time to time and that is more than ok. Explore everything you want to explore, you don’t have to be only one thing. Like I said we are all here for your journey and we’re so excited to see where life takes you xx

Hi Alice, love your vids! It would be so great if you could do a vid on how you picked your new car, what you looked out for or maybe what are the best questions to ask when buying. Don’t always have very good luck with cars ☹️
@AliceThorpe6 жыл бұрын
Oh gosh, I'm definitely not an expert on this so I doubt I'll be making a video! I pretty much chose based on what it looked like. Then made sure the tax wasn't crazy expensive and I bought it from a local dealer who we were recommended! I got my first car from there too. So ask around for good places!

Hi Alice, I haven’t watched your videos for a fair few months, and I wasn’t too sure why. After some thinking, I think it was actually because of your uni content. It wasn’t that any of it was bad, but because uni has been the cause of a ridiculous amount of stress for me these past few months, I couldn’t watch anyone talk about it! I’d love to just see what you do with your life as a graduate, I still have a year left at uni, but the panic of the unknown is all consuming already. I honestly love how genuine and authentically human you are, and I’ll definitely try to engage with your content more often:)

@iuliacovaci16826 жыл бұрын
You should totally do what you love and maybe show us your favorite random stuff and talk about it, like books, movies, series etc. You could also do videos like weird stuff about britts or what to expect when you come to UK for the first time I don't know, it could be fun. But these are just a few ideas, I hope I was helpful somehow 😍😚
@heyimlaurenh6 жыл бұрын
Hey Alice! I'm certainly normally a silent viewer in relation to leaving comments on people's videos (sorry), but I decided I'd add my ideas and thoughts for you on this one. I love the idea of a design week that you mentioned in the video! I'm just about to go into my third year at Uni studying Photography, but I would love to know more/see more of the design side of things because it fascinates me how it's all put together and the thought process/development other creative people have. In relation to your poster for Mind, I will hopefully be ordering one soon as I would really want one and think it is a wonderful idea that you had and it's such thoughtful thing to do something like that! The only reason I haven't ordered one yet was because I was trying to balance my planned spending out more, I know the poster isn't a lot of money, but every little helps (student budget). On the topic of Uni, I feel like I understand your point of view of feeling stuck. The main question everyone seems to want to ask me at the moment is 'What do you plan on doing after Uni?' and honestly I don't know. I feel like I've still got a lot to work through in this final year and whilst obviously some form of degree related employment afterwards would be great but it's not my main priority and/or worry at the moment, however sometimes people are making me feel the opposite, which stresses me out a bit not really having the 'end goal' - currently I'd just like to get through third year and be proud/happy of my grade! Hopefully I'm not the only soon to be third year student feeling the same way. It seems the pressure from others to know where you're going next is insane and I think some people forget that it's not as simple as you can apply for work and immediately get the job or magically be able to go fully freelance/self-employed. Also, I certainly (sadly) agree with the statement that it's about who you know, not what you know and that is clear for me even in Uni, which is worrying. On a hopefully more positive note, I hope you're able to get through this trying time and be able to take it as a learning curve (sorry if that sounds cheesy) but I suppose sometimes things do just fall into place or decide to work on the more positive side of things and everything looks better then. I'm sure you'll be able to pull yourself through. I've enjoyed watching your videos over the past few years and seeing your journey so far, but you've got so much ahead of you and I hope I get to see whatever that might be!
@AliceThorpe6 жыл бұрын
I've read this thoroughly and honestly thank you so much for taking the time to chat. I've actually screenshot it and will read it when I'm doubting myself 💖

Alice Thorpe I’m glad it helped and kind of proud of myself for speaking up about the topics you mentioned. Your video also helped me sit and think about things and reminded myself that it is perfectly normal and ok to not know what to do next! Personally, I would much rather spend longer finding some type of employment, whether that be working for someone or a company or even by myself that I’m happy doing than rushing into things and getting stuck not liking it. Although it might be difficult now, I’m a believer in everything happens for a reason and you have to push yourself through these hiccups one way or another to get to where you need to be and it shouldn’t matter how long that takes! Keep your head up and remember that you’ve done so incredibly well to get to where you are now and sooner or later you’ll be at a place where you’ll sit back and thank yourself for waiting 💖

I'm sorry but if you're going to make out that your subs are like a "little family" then you can't say that you don't/won't have the brain capacity to care for them one on one. It's like saying you don't have the brain capacity to care for them at all. Just saying. Also, you don't talk to your subs like they are your friends. Speaking from first hand...
@AliceThorpe6 жыл бұрын
I like to think we are a little family, working to share advice and have each other's backs. Of course I care and am extremely thankful for each and everyone of my susbcribers. But it's physically and (even more so) mentally impossible for me be on that friend level with everyone. I'll always chat to my viewers as friends, because we all have something in common and I'm a friendly person :)
@RebeccaJadeGibson6 жыл бұрын
But in my experience with you, you have been cold and not remotely interested in chatting with your viewers. When I met you, I felt as if you would rather talk to someone else and that honestly made me think holy crap what did I do? When in reality I just said “hello, I love your content” and you responded with a blank look and you just moved on so fast to talk to someone else I felt like you did not care.
@AliceThorpe6 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry you feel this way, I've never once intentionally been rude to anyone and I apologise if this is how I came across. I can only presume that I was exhausted or having a bit of an off day.
