not good for her at all, its the exact opposite of what she needed.. last thing she needed was online clout, venting online, then tell the story online... like her fantazy talking to her imaginary friends which she kinda did rehersal to in the last vid... she should have gone away with the strengt, not the clout, now she is eternally gassed up and will forever chase views like a heroin addict. insted of what she wanted... irl friends... delete this stuff and do what you wanted originlly. you dont need any more gassing up. get out there and make friends, you got the views, the attention, get the hell away from the computer, as you said its all you do and now you are chasing the dragon. dont to anything "with it", the net is not healthy for you obviously

Uploading that video was the best thing she did to know that she's not alone. She's brave to do that. No therapy, no counselors can make you feel better than meeting so many people like yourself can.

@@SignalFlowers unless you're terminally online, no, its not. Gonna be very disappointed when in a few weeks 95% of the ppl saying "OMG I relate! Youre not alone!" forget they even commented that. What you're describing is validation. Anyone would love to hear that they're right, but not everyone wants to hear the therapist say that they're wrong. She has already listed most of her problems. She recognizes the issues and has chosen not to fix them. The video's conception was not necessary to solve her problems. YT sucks.

Some peoples' maths on this thread is shocking. She's got 78,000 views so far, which is nothing near a quarter of a million (250,000). You're not alone - another person above said she had 'almost half a million views'. That would be 500,000, and 78,000 is nowhere near that, as it's not even 100k. :)

People crave human connections and what you presented was very authentic and honest. So many people are going through something similar to your struggle, and I could really relate to "wanting my space and alone time" and then feeling guilty/upset that you didn't follow through with hanging out with someone. Keep your head up high and keep trying. I'm glad you got that space to vent, and it can be pretty therapeutic to let it out sometimes. You are definitely worthy of love and friendship.

I am a 22-year-old female, and these lessons have helped me to make friends easily: 1. Change your environment (maybe you're surrounded by the wrong people) 2. Distance yourself from those who make you feel unhappy or uncomfortable. If you get lower self-esteem because of certain people, you should let them go or try to avoid them. 3. Take action; if you see someone you think you can hit it off with, talk to them and ask if you can hang out or have their contacts. (Loneliness is an option) 4. Love yourself first and appreciate spending time alone 5. Always be yourself. The right people are the ones who like you when you're yourself 6. Go on trips/ find new hobbies and meet new people once in a while 7. Have patience 8. Don't be a show-off 9. Don't seek to have a big group of friends. Sometimes the smaller the circle, the greater the happiness. Know the difference between a friend and an acquaintance. 10. Don't force anything - You can't be friends with everyone and that is completely okay (know your self-worth) 11. Give people attention and respond as fast as you can. Otherwise, you'll give them the impression that you don't care. Also, make plans together or send them messages when something makes you think about them, for example. 12. Share your stories and feelings, don't wait for them to ask. (Be vulnerable, it makes you more relatable and likeable) 13. Try having chats regularly to maintain your bond and strengthen it. 14. Try to really (genuinely) get to know people 15. Small gestures matter a lot to people 16. Deep down, everyone wants to be loved and recognized (just like you), so give people love, and if they like you, too, you'll be loved back 17. Try to be social once in a while - The least you can do is talk back when someone talks to you. 18. Find people with similar interests 19. Develop your social skills 20. PUT IN THE EFFORT 21. Shut your brain off when you overthink and enjoy the moment

You're very intelligent, you are pretty, and you have a charismatic persona. You seem like a bright person who's been dimmed due to anxiety/depression and misplaced self perceived notions of inadequacy. If you could see yourself through our eyes you'd understand how wrong you are about yourself and realise how great you really are and how you shine. If I wasn't half way around the world in Australia I would be elated to call you a friend, make you happy, and put a genuine smile on your face. I must say, that everything you have talked about feels *extremely* relatable to me. How you’re “not trying hard enough” to make friends yet feel so incredibly sad and lonely and feel like you’re missing out because you don’t have people to do “friend activities” with, and how you don’t accept hangout invitations from people and reply to their messages a day later and put off doing things because you’re scared of them, scared of not performing well enough at tasks and scared that situations will be awkward. And now when you mention you picking on things and not really being able to stop once you’ve started, be it physically picking at yourself or ending up eating too much if you start with just one piece, it is just exactly like me, and it sounds like social anxiety, depression, and possibly autism, all of which I’m diagnosed with myself. It’s just incredible to me how someone can be so relatable, and I really can’t mean it more when I say that I *truly* want you to be happy with yourself and your life. I guess that is because I really can feel your struggles through the screen and know them all too well, but genuinely, I want you to find true happiness, and for that, I think you *do* need to try to make connections with people, even though it’s scary, even though it’s awkward, even though you don’t know what to say and you’re scared you might be inconveniencing them with your attempts at establishing a connection.. If you try it with multiple people and don’t let yourself be disheartened by any possible unsuccessfulness, there will eventually be someone you’ll click with. Maybe they’ve been lonely too and are desperate to find someone to have a deep and truly meaningful connection with, and maybe you will be everything they’ll need. I seriously just want to hug you through the screen. Everyone here knows to at least some degree how you feel, and we’re all rooting for you. Hearing someone putting our feelings into words inspires us to try as well. I truly wish you the best 🫂

It makes sense. You are just so smart and talented, thats it lol. You literally have the manner, eloquence, depth and understanding of someone 20 yrs older than you. My advice to you regarding friends is to not obsess about the idea for now and run head straight into some creative pursuit. I know not having friends can take an emotional toll and almost weigh you down leaving you perhaps at the point where its like why bother, Im depressed etc, but please commit to some creative outlet that caters for being alone and amongst others. Trust me, some day you will look back at your situation, your videos and realise that your frustrations had good reason but your talents should never be sacrificial to things that seem out of your control. I have one good friend for the last 20 yrs and many others who were so-called friends. Looking back the so-called friends were of no value, a complete waste of time. The older you get the more you will love your own company, the nature of your own mind, the things you are interested in that the absence of friendship wont be so harsh. I guarantee that if you pursue your talents you will inevitably encounter ppl of your type. You are exceptional and with that can come exceptional issues that dont apply to typical ppl (they have typical problems). You owe it to yourself to really do something that you believe you could love, doesnt matter what it is, dream big. I dont say this to everyone because they dont demonstrate your intelligence. Please post again, you dont realise the impact you have for others in trenches like these. Thanks :-)

Hello :) just came across your yt channel and have already watched two of your other videos. I just wanna say that 1. You talk the way good writers write, you have such a nick for verbalizing your thoughts in such a intriguing and interesting way. 2. You seem to be a person whose really worth getting to know :) it's been very comforting hearing you open up about your life and struggles in a way where I feel like I can relate to your experiences and connect to you. Also the way that you record your videos feels like being on a zoom call with a friend that you are just casually ventilating your thoughts to and hanging out with, which is very nice. I get that you maybe feel a bit scared or overwhelmed of coming back to your channel because you thought that no one or nobody would watch or be interested, but a lot of us are, and it would be fun to get to know and see you more :) hearing you talk about Alice in wonderland, wizard of Oz and Peter pan was also very interesting to listen to in your latest video. :)

I'm listening to this while doing course work for university. I'm actually the same age as you, and like many other people here can relate to what you're saying. It's nice hearing you vocalize those thoughts and talking about what you enjoy doing. I actually went ahead and created a small website that documents anything interesting I find, similar to Wikipedia, and use it as a personal neatly organized random-knowledge repository. Keep doing what you want. If this is something you genuinely enjoy doing, why hide it from others? You're kind and are fun listening to. Anyone who values a genuine connection will like you with your personality and "quirks". Don't force it, but just make sure to stay at it when keeping in touch with people. Many people cherish genuine friendships, but doing so requires some effort from both sides. Other than that, I hope to hear from you again sometime soon. I'd love to listen to an update (it's been two years!! Don't leave us hanging :D). All the best to you.

People can very easily relate to one another, and there is always a group of individuals with similar aspects within their lives- it's really difficult to be an outlier, even if you try. That's kinda what happened here. You came out with something really personal, yet there are people out there able to almost directly sympathize with it- and it's even more refreshing because maybe some of them wanted to say or realize it but couldn't find the words or the way to do it, or otherwise felt it was unecessary. But you filled in that part for them, or that's what I'm guessing. Personally, I'm glad that you decided to post it. I've started to lose a grasp on myself as a person as I've become more physically, and internally isolated. Coming face to face with the cause has opened my eyes, in a way, so I can push myself forward rather than being stagnant. So yeah. Thanks for being vulnerable.

This is single-handedly the most relatable channel on YT. Everything from the last video just resonated with me, and when you mentioned being a starter teacher, that blew my mind. I'm the same age and had to leave teaching behind. On top of everything you've mentioned (the anxiety, loneliness, etc.), teaching felt like the biggest mistake, at least so soon after college. It's a lonely job; all my coworkers were much older and unrelatable. Please, don't private these. I don't know you, and we're not friends, but knowing that there's someone going through the exact same thing helps the world feel a little less lonely in a way. And from the comments I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Greetings from Argentina, I love the way you express yourself and how you cover each topic. I would like to have friends like you to talk about these things that seem important to me even to talk about them once every 6 months maybe. The friends I have talk about things so trivial that they don't even interest me anymore, it's just going out on weekends and nobody ever talks about what they want in their lives or their feelings, maybe it's just me too, I don't know either

It’s so nice to hear about what someone’s going through. Also I feel you about the therapist. In some sense I kind of like that I’m paying them to listen because then it removes the guilt of it being all about you. You’re paying for it to be all about you.

I wouldn't have known any of this if you had taken it back. Reminds me of the ever-present quote in my life right now: "The world is run by those who show up." You showed up. And I'm grateful for that. I wish we knew each other in real life. from one loner to another. The irony of feeling alone is it's such a connective trait. Knowing other people feel the same isolation that I do makes me feel much less alone.

The bravery to tell all about your inner thoughts and pain is very relatable to an enormous amount of people in the world. The fact that you have half a million views on that video goes to show how many are actually in your mind space. There are many many people that are alone and actually depressed about it. I think for the people listening to this, its a great therapy session for them with the realization that they are not alone in this world. You havent made another video for a while so im hoping everything is ok with you and you have found happiness in your life.

Just came up and I watch a ton of news, so I have no idea! Your title made me watch. You can always "private" them; that is always optional. People care about others' pain and can relate, believe it or not. We all have felt this. You have a lot of emotional stuff on your plate; divorced/ing parents, loneliness, unsure about yourself and life. Maybe being around family will give you the support you need. Yeah, they say, wherever you go there you are; true. But, you will find yourself. At least you are realizing and acknowledging your habits and behaviors. You are very honest and someone will appreciate you. You sound creative. We ALL buy books we don't read - lol. You are filling emptiness; you are in a transition. I was a teacher for over 20+ decades! Therapy helped me! And, 100%, yup, part of it is having someone you pay to listen to you; part of it. Just tells you people watch because we all have the same effin' feelings.

Here's my thoughts. This is for the girl in the video, and anyone else who resonates with her: There's no ultimatum that when you move, you HAVE to become this fantasy person or be a hag forever. It's not black and white, and this "fate deciding event" is something you made up. You've made this up as an attempt to accept who you are. You struggle to accept who you are because you don't meet your expectations for who you think you're "supposed" to be. And no, moving will not solve the problem- that's completely arbitrary and you know it. This is basically a form of procrastination or blaming your current unhappiness on your surroundings. You don't need to move to get into the right mindset. I'm speaking from experience. All these activities you fantasize about doing are a superficial manifestation of a person. You've got it backwards. Doing those things will not make you into the person you want to be. You adopt the right mindset, then those things will follow. You like the idea of having friends, exercising, starting those hobbies, and eating better, but you don't *actually* like those things. You *want* to like them. You've built this fantasy world and you want to be this fantasy person. And when you realize you're not that person, it hurts. 1. Accept who you are today, be comfortable with yourself, and learn to have fun on your own. > This is one in the same as being that fun guy/girl that everyone wants to be around. This is the "Chad" that everyone likes, the Chad who everyone thinks has tons of friends and lives a perfect fantasy life, but may actually be in the exact same situation as you- the difference being the MINDSET. This person is okay with having no friends, which is what gives them friends, ironically. See? If it seems self-fulfilling, that's because it is. ;) You have to take the leap. 2. Get out of your head- reset your perception of reality. Your perception of other people's perfect lives is not accurate. 3. Figure out what you want. What exactly do other people have that you want? Are you sure they have it? Find someone who you can look up to that you think has it figured out. Soak their mindset up like a sponge. Consider joining the military. Also, I think your idea of friends is whack. You will never "merge" with another human being, if that's what your idea of a best friend / significant other is. Everyone is on their own journey through life, you will meet people along the way, some stay longer than others. This is not to say you shouldn't try to connect with people, it's just to manage your expectations of what friends are. Value your connections when they happen but don't cling- let things ebb and flow.

Girl, the level of accountability you show completely sets you apart from most of your generation. You don’t take anything for granted. You value and are grateful for what you have. I hope you are in a better place now, a place that you learned that your superpower is your courage to show your vulnerable self. You are an amazing person! On a side note, I’m writing this as you’re talking about going to therapy, about paying someone to hear you. Well, I always wondered if my therapist thought I was boring. And one day I told her that. And she laughed, and said no, far from it, that she really enjoyed talking to me. Anyway, just a random thought. I hope you are doing well.

You shouted into the void and the void said "I feel you, fam" and gave you a big warm hug. Don't over-think it. You keep wondering why that happened. Why you? What you should take away from this is that you're relateable and far from alone. They're not here because they think you're something else that you now have to live up to. They're here for you; just you, exactly the way you are. Raw and honest and genuine. No facade. No filter. It's so refreshing in this Instagram world.

I found your video because I was literally searching "i have no friends", lol. And, yeah, your video is just you talking to a webcam, but that made me think it was real and why I clicked on it. I think there are lots of us going through the same thing. "Hidden" members of society. Have you heard of "Hikikomori"? That's the Japanese name for people who become severe recluses. I know that's slightly different, though, because you still get out and about, but yeah. I'm fascinated by people who don't have friends and don't "do anything" because I don't either. I think you've taken a step above the rest of us by starting your channel, though, so that's good. :) And I don't think it's weird to want to see a therapist just to talk to someone. I've thought about getting massages just to feel human touch, but I'm too scared with covid.

My channel is 14 years old and a video that I made in 2008 randomly got like 20k views last year. I didn't understand why at all but i was my lowest point and decided to start making videos. Only recently, I started to understand why people like to watch and I'm so glad I persisted with it despite feeling so uncomfortable uploading videos. It's honestly changed my life and completely improved the way I see myself. I'd always wanted to connect with people using (weird) art and I was surprised how difficult it was to accept that people actually WOULD watch my videos. I related to you on so many levels in these videos, which is not something I usually experience online. Honestly, you were the realest person I've heard speak on KZbin. I've never really liked this advice because sometimes accepting who you are is accepting that you're in a bad position and refusing to change. Compromising your morals, beliefs, or ideals for friends is never good, but not being retrospective is even worse. I think bettering yourself and finding an outlet that is constructive is a much better way to spend your time. If you were able to do anything creative efficiently then you will find other people who are just like you that are doing the same thing.

Hello Girl in a Blue Dress, you are looking better today, hope you are feeling well, don't be nervous, just be yourself, that's why people watch you, there's definitely people that care about you and want to hear what you have to say. Read the comments to help you and have communication with these people and don't be afraid and take things at your own pace. Change does not just happen, you my dear have to make it happen. It seems like your trying to deal with your depression by eating your way out of it because it makes you feel good for the moment, but later your body pays the price, instead of over eating, try walking in your neighbourhood. Ask your questions and you will get answers.
@FausseFugue
@FausseFugue 4 ай бұрын
Not sure if you're still reading the comments, but something that's helped me with the whole making friends and accepting myself thing is when I finally figured out that there wasn't anything written on my forehead. When I was younger, I felt like when I met new people, it was written in my face that I was one of the not so cool kids and that I was shy, so I didn't really make any effort to fit in, or even to talk to people outside of my small friends group, because I thought people would just find it weird that I was trying to fit in or to talk to them. The day I finally understood that people have no flipping clue who I was in the past, and I no idea of what's going on in my head, it made it a lot easier. Now I can just be myself without having to worry about what people think about me. I know they don't have preconceived notions of who I am, I'm just a blank slate to them, and if I'm friendly, they simply see me as friendly, and not as the strange kid I used to be or the insecure adult I now am on the inside. You talk about like, how can you change if you're still wearing the same clothes, but I feel like it's similar to my "words on my forehead" thing. To someone who doesn't know you, you seem like a pretty cool and friendly person, however you dress. People don't have access to your internal self, they don't have access to your past, you can be who you want to be.
