That is a really good way to put it. I've been having trouble articulating why I appreciated this video so much and why it wasn't a reaction to hate because I feel like people who have had criticisms have been fairly respectful and understanding, you've put it really well about how he used it as a tool for reflection, which is a big part of being a creative.

The Four Sided Triangle he’s saying that a lot of youtubers could be over dramatic but jazza is keeping it real and not making this video a sob story. youtube algorithm just sucks too, channels I'm subbed to I won't see the latest uploads in my feed until 4 weeks later or even 2 months later instead of giving me the most updated content it gives me old content I've already watched and the new content is always at the very bottom of the barrel, is why people hardly watch or know about new content on KZbin because... I had this issue for a long time so I just avoid the front page and click the "subscriptions" button on the side now. Shows all videos from my subscriptions in order with the newest first like the really old (pre 2012) youtube design.

@that guy Yeah, I think this way makes the most sense. If I want to see the channels I have subscribed to, I just go to the subscriptions tab. It would be pointless for youtube to include subscription videos in the main feed because that would be redundant with the subscriptions feed. I just like to browse the main feed when I want to find new content, from people who I haven't already subscribed to.

I am completely new to your channel. I just discovered you today. I am not a kid. I am 48 years old and love art. I am finally giving up the belief that I need to do what other people expect of me. You need to follow your heart and passion. You are still inspiring people of varying skill levels. I will be steadily consuming much of what you have on your channel. Maybe some of those who have been with you from the beginning won't hang around, but you are gaining new viewers everyday obviously by your number of subscribers. Be sure whatever you decide to do you wake up loving to do it. I have wasted much of my life trying to fit into a mold made for me by the opinions of others. Maybe it will be people like you who will help me to find my place in this art world that I love so much. Be true to you! You have a new fan and follower in me, and by the way, I totally love your humor. It is what kept me watching you for hours today. The only person you need to change for is YOU and only if it is to be honest to who you are. I wish you the best as you consider phase 4. And just FYI, I am an Organizational Psychologist who specializes in Consumer Psychology. You have a great channel. Don't let the criticisms of a few derail you. You do you. --Margie from USA

It's natural that we grow as people and therefore what we put out into the world grows and evolves and people can connect with that and then move on when they don't align anymore - and that's okay! First and foremost, we have to do what fuels us, and let the right people find us in whatever phase is right for that connection.

Admittedly, I’m one of the fans who dislikes the direction the channel has gone. That’s not to say his content is bad, I just prefer more serious, relaxed, drawing-centered videos and that’s my preference. I appreciate him putting this out though, it definitely makes me feel that he’s sincere and not lost in the chase for clicks. All I can say is just keep being yourself. No one is going to like every video, but people CAN detect when you’re being true to yourself- and when you are, you’ll always be successful. Thanks, Jazza!

(Sorry for the length, it's very personal) Even though I felt like I had overgrown the channel at the start of fase 3 and I was starting to feel you 'distant' on a personal and artistic level, I continued watching sporadically just for support and then saw the change of the mural and the name as the end of an era (of "my Jazza" like an elderly would say) and the signal that it was time to move on and start doing my own thing and thought: "Jazza would do fine even without me, he will always be the top of his world and the only person in the world I could get all fan boy for if I met him in person, but he has to do his own thing and I respect that even if his content now interest me less than when I 'met' him, I will still come by every now and then to see how my boy is doing". BUT No matter what, Jazza has always be and always will be THE ONE who thought me drawing. Even though I went to comic school and workshops after, HE is the one who made me take a pencil (and later a bamboo) in the hand again during the darkest age of my life (middle school), and hold it gently during all my teenager years till university. And even now that I'm trying to find my place in the world (in 2020 of all years), even though I never met him or talked to him (maybe he responded to a comment once?), and probably he would never read this comment, he is one of the person I feel more in debt with, and in a way attached like al older lovable cousin and I'm even crying a little writing this! So thank you Jazza, no matter what you do, and how you feel about yourself always remember that you helped way more people that you think.

I’ve been subscribed to your channel since your early tutorial days. What people don’t take into account is that just because something resonates with them doesn’t mean it does with others, I guess what I’m trying to say is that creativity is a vast and varied subject to cover and you’ve done an outstanding job of taking your viewers to places they may not have ever considered going. I, like you, enjoy exploring new and interesting projects and appreciate some of the things you’ve brought to my attention, so thank you for that. The only thing I think is important as far as your content goes is, be true to yourself and be happy doing so. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed following you over the years and still do, I wouldn’t ask a friend to change just to make me happy, so why would I ask that of you? ENJOY ART has always been your message, now follow your own advice lol. I’ll always check out what you’re getting up to Jazza, thanks again for all that you bring to the art world 👍👍👍

Hey man, I’ve had this thought for a while but never voiced it to you. I feel like the last years you’ve always struggled with almost the same issue (the one you’re talking about in this video). My ‘solution’: Why don’t you make one amazing video once a week. I know you love your consistency and that’s also what KZbin loves, I get it. But I feel like it’s gonna make you so much happier and also your adience! Put the effort of the 3 videos a week you do right now, into 1 video. It’s passion-driven + clicky and your audience will be much more excited for each new weekly banger to drop. I know you’ve been doing this way longer than me and I don’t wanna come over as a smartass, I truly want you to be happy and thrive on KZbin. I know you’ll probably never go to 1 video a week but I wanted to just say this to you! Love you bro ❤️

Jazza, I've been following you for years. You're an amazing artist, and I always look forward to seeing the things you do with your videos. Despite following some of your tutorials, you'll always be far more talented than I when it comes to artist creativity. I'll admit; sometimes your videos can seem a childish, or way out there, but to me that's part of the charm you have. You put yourself in challenges that people would think next to impossible to create art with, and you do it, and usually do incredibly well. I do miss the tutorial videos from time to time I will admit. But please remember that you can't make everyone happy. Someone will always have something to say, no matter how hard you work to refine your channel. All I can tell you is this: you do you. It's what keeps me coming back to your videos, both old and new.

It’s so so hard to explain KZbin when you’re a KZbinr. Like anything in life things change and adapt. You HAVE to, you have to keep trying new things to see what works, what you enjoy doing. Because at the end of the day you have to make what you enjoy but you also have to make what others enjoy too. It’s always a balance and it’s hard to find it sometimes. My channel is different to what it was when I started because at the end of the day..KZbin has phases. Things I made years back just became overdone or everyone does it so people get bored and say they want something new. Then you get bored and want to try something different. There will always be people who want to see the same thing and others who want constantly new to stay relevant. I’ve watched so many of my favorite creators channels die because they didn’t change or adapt to the times. They kept making the same kind of content. And it’s sucks that it happens but it’s just how life and KZbin works. And when their channel dies they have to move on.. To me, the fact you adapt and change up your content just shows that you have and continue to care about your content, that you have and are succeeding. I cannot make the same content all the time either because I get bored and so do others (I have the comments to prove it!) you can’t please everyone sadly. By adapting content it’s a way to please more people, if they don’t want to see something they don’t have to watch it! I personally love what you do, you continue to inspire me and my content more than any other artist on KZbin, especially the creators who stick to the same content all the time. At the end of the day your content may have changed or may continue to change but you as a person haven’t, you haven’t let anything get to your head, so you’re still the same Jazza you always were, just a more successful one. :)

I want to draw like him! I want to have his passion! I want to improve and keep growing even if I get married and have children! To be honest, I'm not sure how people could say that Jazza is directed to kids. With the numerous creative editing of swear words, [that, I must admit, my kids already know that he "said a bad word"] or the copious amounts of innuendo, [that thankfully my kids haven't picked up on yet] "directed" would not be the right word at all. More a matter of being accessible, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, too many think that when you "grow up" you need to be stodgy and serious or Rated M: for iMmature. Luckily I've come to realize that getting older is not optional, but growing up is. Life is a lot more fun if you chose to not completely grow up and I would be sad to see Jazza forget to have fun.

The most natural thing to do is be yourself... but for some reason most people struggle with being authentic. I LOVED this video because you didn't apologize for being yourself... you apologized for drifting away from being yourself and you let everyone know you are planning a course correction. Nice to see you being real! I wish more of the larger KZbinrs would follow your lead and get back to what made people like them in the first place...people who are comfortable in their own skin!

Honestly, I haven’t found a problem with his recent content. It’s hard to churn out regular videos ESPECIALLY ones that require creativity and art. Perhaps it’s just me, but he doesn’t seem obnoxious. He seems like he’s just really having fun. The balance is extremely difficult. I know what it’s like to have a job that’s very unpredictable, like KZbin. Jazza is doing a fantastic job all things considered.

I think obnoxious is certainly the wrong word, but he definitely feels like he's going a bit too quickly. Kind of "RIGHTO, THAT'S DONE, ON TO THE NEXT NEW THING!" It's like an obsession with wanting to be perpetually new. New is great, but if you are always doing something knew, nothing gets a chance to grow. That was the great thing about phases 1 and 2, he felt like he was going at his pace, not trying to be constantly changing things up week in week out.

First of all thank you for just being you and showing us the raw honesty and vulnerability you have in this video. I admit I've only been watching your videos for the past couple of weeks but have found myself getting up in the morning and putting on you videos. Between yourself and adc art attack I have found the inspiration and confidence to get back into drawing after losing one of my eyes in accident about 4 years ago. So just remember this for every moment you feel your letting people down you truly are inspiring others to find their love in art. Thank you.

When I was in elementary, I had an art teacher who would put an F on everything I did. I did my absolute best to pursue what I loved and she tore any confidence I had in it down. I swore I’d never do art seriously again, because it seemed like a closed door at the time. In middle school I made a really close friend who enjoyed art and reintroduced it to me. After rediscovering the beauty of art, I wanted to express myself and my love for that friend. This is when I went to KZbin and looked up “how to sketch.” Your video on that topic was perfect and extremely engaging. I then was too caught up in the incredible guy who made the video in the first place and ended up spending way to much time binge watching them all. You became like a mentor to me and now I have people asking me when I’m going to start selling my work because of the love and I put into it and the beauty of the pieces when they’re done. It’s all because you became that amazing art teacher I never had and you were always yourself. You’ve always inspired me and have never failed to make me smile, so no matter what content you put out, I will always stay right here. Do what you love and be true to who you are, because in the end, that’s what success really is.

Change is necessary, especially when you're working to satisfy the algorithm. Sorry to say if you hadn't changed from phase one of tutorials you wouldn't have likely grown as much as you have. I've watched many tutorial channels over the years that haven't changed and they don't get the views you're able to. You have the enthusiasm to get and keep peoples attention, to some it can be too much, but for most it works, so stick with it. You haven't gone beyond that to the cringy side of overly enthusiastic, loud youtubers that are all in your face, you have a good balance of enthusiasm, fun and relaxing content. Keep doing what you enjoy, it's clear from your views that we're enjoying it along with you! And I've never once watched one of your videos and thought the content didn't match the title, I would never consider your videos clickbait. :)

Hey Jazza! I've been around since your "tutorial-era" and I'm gonna be honest: For me, there is not even one video on your channel that I think was boring. There were times where I would watch other art channels but I'm always coming back to your channel when I need a good laugh. You're always doing something different and your videos are always so fun. I just like how you put your personality into it and I find it hilarious, funny and really entertaining! I love your character design sessions as much as your new stuff. I wouldn't really call your channel a "kids channel" as I'm an adult and I really enjoy your content. :) I think your channel is open to people of any age, be it yound or old, and that's why I think you should just do you. I personally enjoy everything you do because it's genuine and also personal. The fact that you did this video here is the proof for that. Continue being creative! It’s very very rare for me to watch every single video of a KZbinr consistently for years. There’s only a handful of creators that keep me engaged for that long of a time. Jazza has always been one of them, and that’s because I like him as a person. He could do anything, and as long as his personality is shining through, I’d still love it. I do sometimes think he gets too crazy and loud, but that’s always been his charm, so I don’t mind

I'm also one of those people that kinda stopped watching after you stopped doing more drawing, animating, and character design-based videos. As an artist, I subscribed to you to see another artist's process and I looked up to you and your style. The challenges I just don't find as entertaining, and I don't get what I want out of them as a viewer. I do however respect that, as a creator, you have no obligation to stick to one thing. However, I was very excited when, in this video, I heard you say "I wanna *make* stuff," because we *do* want to see you make stuff. A lot of us love watching you create things -- that's why I personally came to your channel in the first place. Also, to us, the videos where you create things *are clickable* because that's what so many of us subscribed for. Sure it may not appeal to the "algorithm" so new viewers are hard to get, but there are already 5 million of us here who love you and love seeing your art. We don't click for the clickability according to a busted A.I., we click for you. And I think I can speak for us all that we are so happy to hear that you want to come back to being yourself. Love you, Jazza. Excited to see where you take this channel in the future
