Can I add something extra? Running the trimmer at full or almost full throttle more often helps keep the exhaust screen clean and doesn't clog things up as much.

I just recently found out that Stihl recommends soaking the string in water. Look on the spool of string, on the sticker it shows a faucet and bucket of water picture.

My spool of line is kept in a bucket of water with a lid on it. I have a hole drilled in the lid just big enough for the line to go through it. Biggest tip for me was its only the tip of the line that does all the work. don't push the head of the trimmer right up to things. it lets the line work properly and also helps stop it snapping as much

Allyn sent me a hat for free so I wear a hat that was given to me instead of trashing it and buying some other one. Doesn’t get more budget mind set than that. I enjoy your videos. In fact, the fertilization ones were very helpful. As well, you sparked my interest in the Earthwise 1715-16EW manual reel lawn mower and I went out and purchased one a month ago. My Bermuda lawn is looking good. Question, you indicate the Stihl FS56RC trimmer but when I search Amazon, it only shows the head. Is there a full model number, brand or type that you would recommend. I have a crappy one from years ago and the string is always breaking it is just painful to trim. Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks again.

The only one I have experienced is the 3rd one. I learned quickly my first yard that the head had to be spinning fast and started adding more throttle when bumping the head. I thought it was malfunctioning until it dinged.

I use my string trimmer for everything the mower can't get to. After getting pelted by many times by debris on my legs and face, I figured out how to walk it. Oh, careful cutting poison this that and the third. I'm a few days, you'll be itchy as hell. Ask me how I know. 😂
