I Don’t Think A New Nintendo Direct is Gonna Happen This June | Omar Man

A potential Nintendo Direct is slated for June 29th which is very exciting, and while I and countless others are eagerly wanting one, I can’t help but feel as if it might not happen. Not to make the rumors sound false or anything, but for today’s video, I wanted to talk about why I feel the next Nintendo Direct may not happen on June 29th, 2022. Now obviously, this is just my opinion, therefore I could be wrong about a new Direct not happening, but I just feel like it won’t.

The fact that we need info on Splatoon, Bayonetta, Mario + Rabbids, Mario Kart DLC, Strikers updates, AND new games sooner rather than later points to a Direct. That's a LOT of stuff to hold off until the September Direct, and it would be too late for most of them anyway. And about the recent Xenoblade Direct. Xenoblade games ALWAYS get their own Directs a month or so before launch. So it was probably planned anyway, regardless of whether a June Direct happens or not. And don't forget how XC3 was originally scheduled for September, so its Direct was probably supposed to happen later on in August. The only reason it's in June now is because they changed the release date to July 29. They can't wait any longer now, even if it means putting the Xenoblade Direct in the middle of E3 season. So with all the evidence we have (and rumors too but I'm always cautious with those), I think there's still a fair chance that we'll still get a June Direct... but if not, then I guess Nintendo will have to pull another 2020 and shadow drop a bunch of trailers on Twitter over the summer. Which would be weird and unnecessary, but they've made weird decisions like that before so you never know. Only time will tell....

You do make a good point with how all the new releases and updates would be a lot to hold off of until September. I was just saying that if the June Direct doesn’t happen(hopefully it will though), more info on upcoming games and updates and even new reveals would most likely get revealed or released in September. I just thought of that as a possibility which is the reason I said it in the video itself. But I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
