Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

I use Crystal’s soap, also. I’ve used other’s soaps and realized they caused my gel manicures to come off. Blue Cactus soaps have never done that to my nails. Plus, when I wash my hands 100+ times a day (slightly exaggerated, but not much), I don’t have to use hand cream every time!! They are so pretty and smell wonderful, too! They are simply amazing!!

It's also possible that she's just one of those goats that doesn't get pregnant easily out of season. Some don't have really strong heats outside of certain times of the year.

I would bred her to a different buck next time. Sometimes two individuals genetics just don't mix well

It’s possible that it has nothing to do with genetics. Some animals, much like some people, will struggle to conceive for a plethora of reasons. I breed horses, and one of my mares (females) was bred multiple times between 2018 and 2022. We tried two stallions but struggled equally with both. We tried for years, seeking vet advice, did uterine cultures, ultrasonography, uterine flushing, tried supplementation, hormone therapy, and whatever else you can think of and we had no real definitive answers as to what was happening. We knew she had a history of previous pregnancy and had delivered 4 foals in previous years. In horses, we call it subfertility (horses are rarely completely infertile). Finally, on New Year’s Day 2023, she delivered a beautiful foal, however, she was actually born well past her due date and ended up with contracted tendons in her legs (not genetic related). Luckily the foal is strong and healthy now! I wouldn’t be surprised if like horses, goats can experience subfertility for various or unknown reasons. It would be interesting to find out whether if that is the case, it can influence premature, dysmature or abnormally late deliveries. I hope there will be more research in the area one day!

I just got my soap order from Crystal. I got the Blue Jasmine for me and the Castile soap for my husband here in Michigan in the winter he has such dry skin he has 2 jobs one in a bakery and one he’s a grill cook in a restaurant his hands got so bad he had to go to the doctor to get something to help him and I got him the soap.
