The Denver Nuggets, in their rematch vs the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024 NBA Playoffs, have jumped out to an early 2-0 series lead in a wild fashion. In games where Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray & company have been met with different defense packages and new ways of attacking on offense, some believe Michael Malone & the Nuggets should not be in the position they are. Yet, the way they’ve taken down LeBron, Anthony Davis, & company, it just makes them even more unbeatable.
To start with the Nuggets offense, they’ve attacked Darvin Ham & the Lakers defensive adjustments in a number of different ways. Whether it be through utilizing the Nikola Jokic & Jamal Murray pick and roll, going to outside shooting from KCP, Michael Porter Jr (MPJ), Christian Braun, Peyton Watson, or even post presences like Aaron Gordon, & of course Reggie Jackson, etc, Michael Malone has worked wonders to win both these opening games of the NBA playoffs first round.
In terms of the Denver Nuggets defense vs Los Angeles Lakers, it has been up to standards and should continue with how well the Lakers have performed offensively from guys like D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, AD, LeBron, etc. But if the Joker, Jamal Murray & his game winner, and company continue at the pace they’re at, I don’t know if anyone is going to be able to stop the 2024 Denver Nuggets.
This video includes 2024 Denver Nuggets NBA Playoffs highlights, also including topics like Denver nuggets 2024, denver nuggets playoff highlights, nuggets vs lakers, nuggets lakers first round, denver nuggets vs los angeles lakers, nuggets lakers game 1, nuggets lakers game 2, jamal murray game winner, jokic highlights vs laker, jamal murray highlights playoffs, mpj nuggets highlights, aaron gordon highlights, kcp nuggets highlights, kcp dunk, michael malone interview, nuggets game live, nuggets full game, nuggets reaction, nuggets buzzer beater, nuggets postgame interview, nuggets press conference, nuggets game winner, nuggets offense, nuggets defense, jamal murray interview, nuggets vs lakers reaction, jokic despicable me, jokic brother, jokic interview, jokic vs lakers, jamal murray vs lakers, nuggets espn, nuggets first take nba today, nuggets undisputed, nuggets stephen a smith, nuggets lakers game 3, christian braun nuggets, peyton watson nuggets, etc, which I do not own ANY of the rights to whatsoever, as these are intended to be used under the guidelines of fair use through KZbin.

@@thewintersoldier383 Lakers have balled out of their minds 'DEFENSIVELY' the last 2 games, it's literally the reason they are making Denver's offense stall. That being said...Denver is inevitable, they are the best team in the league with the best player. They are second in the league in clutch points so they turn it on in the 4th and win most close games (as great teams do) Lakers played a perfect defensive game, they were really good on offense too but not 'perfect'. The thing is they probably can't play a frigging perfect game on both sides of the ball and defo aint playing 4 of the next 6 games since it's real life...not 2K. This reminded of a game decades ago when Micheal Jordan and the Chicago Bulls spotted the Portland Trailblazers a 20-point lead. It was as though MJ and Scottie finally said, yeah 20 is enough, let's play and they did, to win the victory. We just saw the Denver Nuggets take the best LA had to offer and then take the win, play by play and point by point. The tandem of The Joker and Jamal is something to watch.

One deficiency from the Nuggets, that was exploited by the Lakers to get a 20 point lead, was the poor defense on spain pick and roll. They didn't switch properly, and kept running into the second screener, instead of navigating the second screen. Definitely something that they can work on and improve, and it won't be a problem going forward. And if I know the Nuggets, they are probably doing some practice getting around the second screen, and switching and rotating properly when they don't.

I've followed the Nuggets for 4 decades, but rarely have seen such a good analysis as this video. I do feel its a combo of Malone from the bench and Jokic feeling out the competition in the first half that is leading to the dramatic improvements in H2. For example, Malone made the move of putting Gordon on AD. Jokic also changed up things in H2, as the video showed about the transition offensive numbers. As has been mentioned all over, the other players are very bought in. The emergence of PSWAT is huge also and has not really been covered by national media (Nuggets fans listening to Altitude know this) -- he's does a ton of the "dirty work" on D or rebounds that is making a difference. Watch him closely and you'll see the impact he is having when he is in. The team may be better than last year even without beloved BruceyB.

Denver's deficiency is their bench. They just can't shoot with any type of consistency, and it clearly hurt them at times in games 1 and 2. In game 2 for example other than MJP and Jokic they were 0-14 on 3-point FG tries in the first half and most of them were really good looks. The only deficiency i see hurting us when our offense is stuck is a tendancy towards indecision. Everyone plays so unselfishly, and joker more than anyone wants to spread the energy through the looks only he can provide, but sometimes i wish he would take that open floater instead of the kick out. Their catch and shoot instinct doesnt always kick in fast enough. You can see the space from the first move as the defense recovers, and then its a pass instead of a shot. Realizing that being more aggressive can lead to more missed shots, in this series weve done well getting 2nd chance and offensive boards. Against teams that tie joker up AG or MPJ have to step up cleaning the glass. Still think nuggets fans should be bringin their brooms to games 3&4. Lets make it 12-0!

Twolves and OKC will still be tough matchups for Denver. Let's not forget OKC beat them 3:1 in the regular season. Honestly the west playoffs this year are just fire.

The wolves do yes but i dont think okc has a chance. Their lack of size will start to kill them when playoff games are almost always ran in the half court.

I like how mainstream media is only talking about what Lakers can do and how to improve, but the fact is that Nuggets didn't play their best basketball yet and 2 games have passed and nobody is talking what will happen when Nuggets start playing their best basketball. Lakers are aware of it and I can only imagine how much is demoralizing to keep playing better and keep losing against the same team over and over again. Imagine if Nuggets go on rampage and stomp Lakers in next match after Lakers already experiencing demoralizing and crushing defeat. That would be the end of this Lakers team.

I need to lay a bet on the Lakers for tonight. This has the feeling of history in the making, the Nugs don't have an answer for AD and if the role players are on it's over for the Nugs. James will do his thing so no need to worry on that part.

key stars for key stars, skills for skills, effort for effort, the Nuggets and Lakers are almost at par with each other. Where Denver has the clear and distinct advantage is in the bench and most importantly in coaching. Malone is just much much better a tactician and clearly more strategic.

The NBA spoke to the Nuggets about how bad it would look for Lebrons legacy to get swept 2 yrs in a row and to lose 12 straight games. So the Nuggets allowed the Lakers to win at least this one game.

No, the Lakers did not play their A game. Look at bench scoring, rebounding, and the numbers of all 5 starters on each team. Lakers don't play their A game when they score 68 points in the first half and 40 in the second. The problem with the Lakers is not making timely plays and not having the X factor guys step up. X factor guys are guys on the bench, guys that make that save, get that 50/50 ball. Guys like Rui or Prince or maybe Vincent are. And regular contributors like AR haven't gotten it going either. Porter Jr and Gordon are playing big. I'm not sure why the Lakers just don't beat the Nuggets. But there is the law of averages. And the Lakers have to figure it out. But some guys, X factor guys, need to get going. AD and Bron and Jokic and Murray have been analyzed to death. But I say look beyond that. Look at coaching, and timliness of time outs and adjustments as well.

They showed us that the alleged "GOAT" will choke when it's time to shine at the end of the game almost every time (as the past has shown) even when he's on the floor with a top 10 player. Jordan would never let this butt pounding take place with a team that good to ANYONE.

I think the nuggets can be champions again of coure, but a young and hungry team will eat them alive if they are playing that bad... Timberwolves probably beat them in a series easy. It's just a bad matchup for them and their title run where they beat the Timberwolves that was their hardest series in the first round.

no offense man- but you have a verbal tic: "The Nuggets. They....". Just say the subject of sentence once. No need to say it and then use the pronoun. You do it a lot- likely a habit you don't even notice. I like your content and mean this in a spirit of constructiveness.
