RPG games are like movies. You're usually in it for the story, but you create the story. It's a highly interactive movie in short and that's beautiful.

Just play a game and don't worry if you beat it or not. That's the thing games now a days are too long especially RPGs. So just enjoy your time with em and if you feel like it's time to stop, then just stop don't feel bad about it. I put 30+ 40+ 100+ hours in some RPGs and never beat them. They're still there while I play some other more fun/more recent/more interesting games.

wh i never like rpgs as like DnD game and souls like games cuz they all seem the same, the only rpgs i like is grand strategy games like cruzader kings and kingdom come but that was probably cuz im into history

That's because most of those games aren't RPGs, most of those games don't have choices that matter with consequences, so not a surprise you might not like em, playing so long just for grind ain't fun for non JRPG fans😅. You should try to give real RPGs a chance, like Fallout New Vegas (or many of old Obsidian RPGs), Disco Elysium etc. Those games are long as well, but they can be short because they allow you a choice to play how you want, if you know what you doing you can finish Fallout games(except Bethesda games) fast without even using violence. So yeah don't fret about, and even if you don't like true RPGs as well, that's ok too, nobody needs to like every single genre of game to be gamer, for example I really don't like JRPGs(fake RPGs with no choices w consequences, just grind and story) and especially souls likes(who tf likes wasting what little time they have off work on dying constantly in a game? Even if you git gud, you essentially just dodge and stab, dodge and stab, seriously what's the appeal? I'd rather play and master hack n slash game over souls like)

None of the Zelda games are RPG games. Nor is God of War. Or the Souls games.

@@nicksabukii The Zelda games and the newer God of War games ('18 and Ragnarök) are action-adventure games. Souls games are RPGs but they made a subgenre in it, called Souls-likes. Btw Sekiro is a souls-like but not an RPG, but Elden Ring and the Dark Souls games are both RPGs and Souls-likes.
