@@cinematicsomething you can find some endangered birds such as black-faced spoonbill, they are flying from Siberia and stay MaiPo during winter.

I'll have to look for those birds this winter. Every time I go to 深圳湾 I see groups of older folks with long lenses looking at birds. I'll have to join them sometime! Could be a fun video too.

i guess it's a east asian thing, they usually don't have an agenda, just want to take a picture of foreigners with different color skin as something special they can show to their friends or families. Personally I'm not comfortable with that, especially when they didn't even ask for consent, which, nevertheless I can understand, most of the cases they want to ask you but there's communication barriers.

That is annoying, but China is not as diversified as many other countries. You're probably the closest foreigner (in proximity, so to speak) he's ever seen in real life, so it is understandable. By the way, your shots are amazing. You seem like a professional photographer, are you?

I've worked on films with crews for many years but doing it solo for this channel is a fun challenge.

They are just curious, and in China & many eastern cultures, personal space is not always "respected" so to speak... and that is a huge cultural difference. But rest assured those ppl have zero bad intentions 👍

In all fairness, it’s either the jagged rocks or crossing your shot. I would NOT have chosen the rocks.
