I once was living w: my son’s father many yrs ago. My son was an infant. I also had a 6 yr old daughter and I was raising my step son 7 (his bio son from a previous relationship) myself, no help from his bio mom or dad at the time. I wasn’t even the real parent but was the only one feeding, clothing etc him. Anyway, my ex decided the day after my high risk emergency c-section which had severe complications long term, to quit his new job w/ zero word to me, and zero reason other than he’s lazy. So I had been supporting us alone for 2 years prior so he could go back to school and hopefully get a degree and good job in our future. But are agreement was when our son was born it was my turn to stay home w/ kids and take 6 months off as my surgeon alone said it’d be 2-3 months before I was even semi recovered. Anyway, he quit and also decided not to finish his last few hours at school to get the degree I’d scaraficed years for him to get. Then top it off w/ h Our electricity getting cut off 1 week after my son’s birth bc he’d lied about paying it. So I had a newborn and 2 small children now in a house w/ no heat in Jan. In Michigan!!! It was literally life threatening temps for the baby. Anyway, I had to go back to work immediately and Barrow $ to pay the nearly $1k we owed electricity company. Then about 3 months later (he’s still unemployed, and doing nothing but drinking all day playing video games….then top all that w: me finding out he was cheating on me w/ my neighbor. I snapped, 3 months postpartum, my physical health suffering from doing too much too soon after surgery and I was completely supporting us again alone. And he CHEATS!!!! So like I said I snapped and I took the only 2 things he’d ever paid for in our house, the play station and the living room tv, and threw them out the front door into the road and then stomped on them like a unhinged psychopath 😂😂😂 and kicked him out the house. This was like 14 years ago and i still don’t regret one bit of it. lol he’s an abusive alcoholic narcissist nightmare as I’ve come to learn over the last 14 yrs. And believe it or not he’s a worse human today than even back then. So yeah sometimes it’s called for! 😂

Congratulations, Josh and Sienna! For those heavily invested in the PI ex-fiance story, there are more lengthy updates out there spanning a few months. OP is still talking to Sarah, but they are not really together and she has moved home with her parents- where Evelyn is also living at home "like a teenager on curfew." She is dragging out the divorce Marty started- and it got really nasty. Marty has not told AP's wife... yet. OP thinks he might be taking some dark pleasure in keeping both Evelyn and AP guessing whether he will. Sarah has also been getting therapy and OP found out there were some seriously messed up family dynamics between her and her family because Evelyn is apparently majorly Golden Child and then some. Somewhere in here, I think she got her own apartment finally, too. It is all helping OP better understand why she helped her sister, though not an excuse. They did end up spending Christmas 2023 together (in separate bungalows) in Australia with OP's brother after Sarah's family disowned her. She sided with Marty and did not let the family set Marty up for something really terrible as part of a plan to get custody of the kids. Also, somehow (I did not go to missing updates in between) there was a messaging scandal that involved Australian brother, OP, and maybe a sex worker (?!?) that led to a mishap in bro's marriage that has now been resolved without a break-up. If this is fake, I expect this will be published as an airport bestseller in the next year.

The first story sounds like he developed video game addiction if gaming is taking over his life so much that he can’t function properly on a regular basis (eating, brushing teeth, hygiene, cleaning house, keeping his job). This is really serious and the husband needs to seek help. There was no mention of the wife communicating with her husband about her feelings or where their relationship might be headed, which is definitely needed as a first step!

8 THOUSAND DOLLARS for a PC!! What kind of games do you need that for? I got a 500 dollar used PC that runs everything I play smoothly
@vellathewench4 ай бұрын
"everything I play" is the point. There are a lot of games terribly optimized, like really bad. Also, some people feel they must play it in 4k, because god forbid they play it in 1080p or something. And depending when this story happened, if they bought it during the past few years, the graphics cards have been ridiculously priced. The newer ones are like 4k or so. I wanna say this person probably bought every single piece of the pc as expensive as possible, like a fancy case with lights and stuff. It really can add up. If they had said 4k for the whole thing I would be like, eh ok. But 8k is just crazy. I love my games but that's too much.

The first story reminds me of a song called “The Game song” by Keke Palmer; which is about a boyfriend obsessed with a console and the girlfriend gets upset about it (rightfully so). The song, however, is about two teens and the boy is a teen that can still learn to moderate his hobby but he’s immature for how he’s treating his girl. Whereas the guy in the Reddit story is a grown man who should know better and needs help with his gaming addiction if it’s affecting his life along with his relationship. He’s either really immature and needs to grow up or needs therapy. But she doesn’t need to stay if he doesn’t show he wants to try to get better and doesn’t seem financially smart or stable

22:00 Illegal age gap? She was 22 when they met though? 22 and 28 isnt illegal. That gap actually isn't bad. The gap between me and my husband is 9 years and we met when I was 22 (we got married 4 months ago).

good luck in 6 years 🙏🏻
@beepboop83743 ай бұрын
@@peytoncollins3962 idk if you’ve listened to them much but the “illegal” thing isn’t meant literally, however they mean it as a anecdotal “rule” that people over a certain age who tend to date people under a certain age tend to be giant red flags. And it usually runs true. You didn’t mention how long you dated before getting married but congrats on your marriage. I’ve been the 22 year old with a 31 year old dude before and it was definitely in line with the “Sean Rule” as the guy constantly romanticized the fact that I was “practically a child” and then nearly unalived me.
@peytoncollins39623 ай бұрын
@beepboop8374 I'm sorry about your experience. Know that I am not promoting all age gap relationships. I was worried about the comment because that age gap isn't bad. I'm also autistic, and deal with black and white thinking sometimes. I dated my partner for a year and a half before marriage. Yes, it was fast; however, my partner never dated anyone younger before. Always his age or older. We have a connection that we both never experienced with anyone else. We don't mention it in public unless people ask. And normally irl, people don't say anything bad. All we get is, "Wow, your partner doesn't look his age at all. We thought you were both in your mid 20s." But I understand why people do get uncomfortable with it. Yes, it's not a normal age gap, but people really shouldn't be saying comments how I'm gonna get groomed and that I'm gonna get divorced soon. People don't know our relationship at all, or what we have been through. We went through moving, surgeries, and family issues all within a year of us being together.
@beepboop83743 ай бұрын
@@peytoncollins3962 that absolutely sounds like a healthy relationship and I am very happy for you and your spouse. It sounds like you two were very lucky to have found each other when you did and that you needed each other for the life changes that were about to happen. You didn’t have to provide the context of your ASD but I appreciate that because it definitely helps me understand how the “illegal” thing would sound to you! So hopefully what I said before about it not being literal and being more of a half joking “anecdotal rule” makes sense. There are lots of times that the stories the guys read have a common tone to them, and typically if the OP didn’t already include the age gap context it’s easy to guess because it just tends to show in the behavior of the older person of the relationship (at least with the types of stories they get.) I’m sorry for the negative comments you’ve gotten in the past about your own relationship though, that’s not fair.

It baffles me that redditers will scream "leave" when we man cheats, but when a woman cheats they try to find a reason to justify it. Some women just suck lol She was obviously working, hiding a relationship for 6 months. She had plenty of time to plan& leave if she was being abused. That doesn't even make sense. Alot of people are really under the assumption that men have to be bad for a woman to cheat. And it really shows in the comments under that story just how many people will justify themselves or their friends cheating on their partners🤢

I can’t help but take it personally when people say things about people who don’t wake up before 2pm. Only because I have a circadian rhythm disorder that frequently causes me not to fall asleep until early in the morning hours and sleep until the afternoon. However, my sleep/wake times rotate around the clock. So I live half my life awake at a socially acceptable time, and half awake all night while most of the world sleeps.🤷🏽♀️ Before discovering what was up with my sleep cycles, I was oftentimes referred to as lazy, or living like a teen. It has made it impossible to maintain employment. It truly affects every aspect of my life. I can’t count how many doctors have stopped seeing me simply because I missed too many appointments due to sleeping right through them. I’ve tried EVERY medication on the market for sleep. I’ve used light boxes, super sonic alarms, etc. If anything works at all, it’s not long before I end up with sleep deprivation that has landed me in the hospital. While CRD’s aren’t commonly known about, they are much more common than most people realize. It’s not laziness or immaturity. I was literally born this way. My mom has said that all I did was sleep. She had to wake me just to feed me, change me or interact with me. By kindergarten, I was rotating around the clock already and struggled to get up for school. If it wasn’t for the school nurse, I wouldn’t have graduated. She was amazing, knew my home life was trash & allowed me to sleep in her room when I couldn’t stay awake in class.
