I think AJ found his highest level after the two Usyk fights and he's now taking the pressure off himself to be in a better place in his career where he can enjoy it more. Fair play to him and wish him well.

Unfortunately this racial stereotyping gives real AJ fans like me a bad name, I have to be honest that we was warned that AJ was a hyped manufactured fraud but we never listened, he’s capitulated over the years since quitting to Andy Ruiz and now he’s become a lost puppy. That BLM speech was also a huge pivotal moment in the “ Stella drinking fans” as you say turning on him, BLM have since then been exposed.

I've never been an AJ fan but the pressure this guy has had since winning Olympic gold was too much in my opinion. What he has achieved is quite impressive in such a short amount of fights, I've always been a Fury fan but it's hard not to respect AJ.

@WB why keep it to Joshua??? Let's keep it factual. Fury & Wilder stayed out the ring 20 months.....fought each other and then Wilder was out a further 12 months. Ruiz lost to AJ and spent 17 months out the ring before fighting Arreola then another 15 months before fighting Ortiz. Wallin has fought 5 times in 3 and a half years and all against nobody......so activity doesn't exactly mean anything right now either. Parker has had periods of inactivity as long as 12 months and between losses to AJ & Whyte and losing to Joyce didnt fight a top 10 fighter in 4 and a half years. Joyce since 2020 has only fought once or twice a year at best.......just over 1.5 fights a year on average. Dubois has fought twice a year since 2020 and had only one meaningful fight........and lost it. Whyte's only fought 4 times since 2020.....that barely averages once a year. Hrgovic has only fought 5 times since 2020 which isn't even 1.5 times a year on average. Ortiz fought 3 times since 2020........and average of 1 fight a year and he didn't fight at all in 2021........same deal for Charles Martin........and Helenius also had 3 fights since 2020....as is also the case for Kownacki........all one fight a year. Bakole is in the one fight a year since 2020 club too. Jermaine Franklin didn't fight at all in 2020 or 2021. Even Chisora has barely fought 1.5 times a year. Usyk fought once a year since 2020. AJ fought once a year since 2020.......just like half of the top 20 of the heavyweight division.....so let's quit the bullshit.......there is an activity issue across the whole division and even when fighters are active there is an issue in the level of opposition they face effectively negating the level of activity.

It kinda sounds like Angel Fernandez deliberately kept AJ away from Derrick James first time around. Spencer Fearon said that someone in AJ's team screwed up - they were told contact Charlo's trainer meaning Derrick James, and instead they contacted Ronnie Shields. If he's saying Fernadez was the one doing the shortlist, that sounds to me a lot like it was probably Fernandez, and I find to very hard to believe they screw up like that accidentally. Fernandez most likely pushed for Robert Garcia because Garcia was prepared to let Fernandez tag along. Very sloppy. But good to see AJ out there, focussed on one head coach.

I know AJ always talks about longevity and that's why he changed his style from brawler to stick & move and fighting on the outside. But sometimes depending on the opponent you can't always stick to your principles and style. Sometimes you've got to change temporarily just to get the win, like fury did against wilder 2 & 3. Otherwise it'll cost you like it did AJ, against usyk

@@Good_Ebening_ like his last style is good for Franklin, would have been good in Ruiz 1, worked for Parker. But vs like Fury, he needs to be completely aggressive and same with Wilder. Once upon a time, in the world of professional boxing, a highly anticipated match was about to take place. It was a clash between two British heavyweight fighters, Anthony "AJ" Joshua and Audley "A-Force" Harrison. The stakes were high as they were fighting for the prestigious B&M Heavyweight Title. The atmosphere in the arena was electric as fans eagerly awaited the showdown. Both fighters had their own unique styles. Joshua was known for his explosive power and relentless aggression, while Harrison was a crafty southpaw with an elusive defense. As the bell rang, the crowd erupted with excitement. Joshua wasted no time, launching a series of thunderous punches. However, to everyone's surprise, Audley remained stationary, not throwing a single punch. The crowd grew restless, confused by Harrison's lack of action. Round after round, Joshua continued his relentless assault, but Harrison seemed content to rely solely on his defensive skills, evading every blow with remarkable agility. The crowd began to boo, frustrated by Audley's lack of engagement in the fight. Despite his defensive tactics, Audley managed to frustrate Joshua, who was unable to land a clean shot on his elusive opponent. As the final bell rang, the fight came to an end, leaving the spectators in a state of disbelief. The judges gathered to deliver their decision. It was a draw. The crowd erupted into a mix of cheers and boos. It seemed inconceivable that Audley, who hadn't thrown a single punch, could come away with even a draw. Nonetheless, the judges considered his exceptional defensive skills and awarded him a share of the victory. In the post-fight interviews, Audley explained his strategy. He had studied Joshua's style meticulously and believed that his best chance of surviving the match was to rely solely on his defense. He knew he couldn't match Joshua's power, so he chose to frustrate him instead. Audley's unorthodox approach had paid off, albeit in a rather unconventional way. While the draw meant that neither fighter won the B&M Heavyweight Title, the bout left a lasting impression on the boxing world. It sparked a heated debate about the essence of boxing and the importance of offensive versus defensive skills. Some criticized Audley for not engaging in a more traditional boxing match, while others praised his ability to survive against a formidable opponent. In the end, the fight between Joshua and Harrison became a defining moment in their careers. Joshua went on to face other challengers, while Audley retired from professional boxing shortly thereafter. Their bout would forever be remembered as an enigmatic encounter, where a draw was achieved without a single punch thrown by one of the fighters.
