I saw this one, as well as the rest of Season 4, for the first time just recently. When I initially watched Twilight Zone on Netflix, the fourth season wasn't included. I had heard almost nothing but bad things about the season. But through the first part, I didn't really understand why. There were some top notch episodes in those first 11 or so. But then I hit this one and started to understand. Because I Dream of Genie led into a bunch of episodes of similar quality. Whereas I do not feel Season 4 is without merit, I agree with you fully on this one. Another exceptional episode, Ant-Man.

Hey Rob....Wow, I was curious if this was one you liked, interesting to hear it's also not a fav. There's still a bunch from season 4 I'm excited about, 'In His Image', 'Printer's Devil', 'Miniature', and especially 'New Exhibit'. Mr. Miguana! You are right, 'I Dream of Genie', is another classic tv series. I think this episode title and the series title originated from a line in a song from the 1800's, 'Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair" by Stephen Foster. Great video! Twilight Zone is always a fun zone. I liked this one, and the "remake" (or similar plot) that the X-Files did too. If you haven't seen that one, check it out! I think this one is better, but the X-Files episode did have its own charm imho.

I had such a fun time ranting on this one with you when we covered it. I love that you mentioned the orgy again. This episode is so dull and padded I wish the orgy would’ve actually happened 🤣. I personally don't find this episode that bad, but I still consider it one of the "weaker" episodes. But I don't mind comedy in The Twilight Zone. Some worked out well and actually are funny.

6:28 You know what I'm reminded of here? An episode of Red Dwarf, "Better than Life", in which Rimmer's insecurities manage to derail not only his fantasies but those of his shipmates. If this episode didn't manage to find the humor as RD did, then it really is a piece of garbage.

This is one that would have worked much better as a half-hour one as some of those daydreams feel like they are just filling time. But the cast does commit to it, and like you said, even the mediocre ones are certainly worth a watch. Great review as always!

Hey Anthony, Not my favourite of seasons. As to this episode, I don’t think I finished this one. I can usually just press play, lean back, and enjoy … but not this one. Got to the “leaning back” part, but the “enjoy” element of a relaxing afternoon never came to being… Good try on putting a positive end to this.

I've watched this episode but found it quite forgettable so thanks with the great review. I do like James Mulholland he gives me a good laugh and he appeared in The After Hours and Mr Dingle the strong

Forgettable is an appropriate description. The only thing that makes this one a little memorable for me is some of the goofy stuff and the Genie who who do not see enough of. No mention of the cringe inducing Carol Burnett episode? Comedy back then was very different. Hell, drama and acting were still following the styles used for stage acting. It wouldn’t be until mid to late 60s for tv and film to showcase the strengths of film.

Hey NCT! I hear you, I wasn't much of a fan of 'Cavender is Coming' either. That's one of the earliest episodes I covered here on the channel. You are right, the acting and performances were quite different back then. Most times I actually love it, it's an interesting snap shot of the era. I prefer the modern style more, but its always interesting to revisit older shows and movies.

But with the genie there's no deal required to get your wish. You gotta pay for a wish from the Devil but It's free with the genie. The only problems with the genie are you only get 1 wish instead of 3 and it can go the wrong way if you're not specific.
