This is the same spot where the S.S. Minnow disintegrated on the beach in a first-season episode of "Gilligan's Island" (this spot is the southern end of Zuma Beach). And at the beginning of the scene (aerial shot), the cove one can see around the bend is where the climax to "Planet of the Apes" (gunfight, cave entrance) was filmed. And above that cove (and a stone's throw to the southeast) is the clifftop spot where the fabulous compound of Tony Stark was located (an empty lot in actuality). Small (entertainment) world.

THAT'S why NBC insisted that Jeannie appear more "modest" after the pilot episode- her harem pants had to be lined with silk because her legs (and panties) were visible, and her top had to be bulkier to avoid overt cleavage. And she was NEVER to appear wearing Tony's shirt after that episode. The network's censors also insisted Jeannie was NEVER to appear in Tony's bedroom, nor was he ever to appear in her bottle [both happened during the first season]. They were also worried about how viewers would accept their living together under the same roof without being married. The majority didn't seem to mind a bit.

Both shows reflected male and female roles at the time. The men, supposedly driven by their male egos, could not condone Samantha and Jeannie using their superior powers, while the women, despite having superior powers, still had to act in a subservient manner. These shows wouldn't fly today. It's a bit surprising they even appear in syndication.

There are several reasons for this : No 1 The shells are picked clean from beaches, by tourists, no shell was left behind, No. 2 red algae has killed the creatures that made and used the shells, No3. Polution has killed the creatures that made and used shells.. No 4 commercial shelling industries strip beaches of shells rapidly then process and sell Sea shells for outrageous profits. Don't get depressed, you can still Scuba dive and find some shells. There's an island in the Red Sea that still has seashells. Some tourist traps in California , Connecticut, Massachusetts, R.I, Maine, and Florida sell seashells but Many of these gifts are man made shells, not real, you need to ask . It's very sad, I haven't seen any shells on West Coast or East Coast beaches in decades.

She "sabotaged" his marriage to Melissa Stone- his commanding officer's daughter- in episode four {"Jeannie and the Marriage Caper"} by bringing her and her old beau Grover Caldwell together {after she threw some thoughts about Melissa, in HER voice, towards Grover}.
