I Dressed According To My Zodiac Sign For A Week

I've been seeing these posts all over Instagram that show different clothes and outfits for different zodiac signs, and so I decided to test them out and dress like my star sign for a week! I also consulted an astrology expert to help me in my quest! I tried out a LOT of different outfits this week, which one was your favorite?

This just proved to me how little companies know about zodiac fashion because they missed the mark with Cancer. My mom and sister are cancers and their typical style is comfy and warm. Lots of simple shirts, sweaters, leggings, and loose fit jeans with a blanket of some sort wrapped around some part of them. I, the Leo, am way more into the "fashion is pain" way of thinking and am far more likely to dress up. Pretty sure my mom and sister don't even own any heels but I do. Oh, and neither of them own a white button down either. Where did that even come from??? Did they mix up Virgo and Cancer???

I'm a Taurus, born in the year of the dragon with ascendant in Taurus and I love dresses, very sparkling gold or silver garments, and high heels. I own about 50 dresses and a ton of sparkly things and I have lost count of how many shoes I own. I do not wear them, I just hoard them and I cannot walk on high heels. I wear a lot of comfortable mostly black clothes and flat-soled shoes. I buy a lot of flashy clothes but I don't have a reason to wear them and I definitely can't wear them at work :)).

My sister gave me a hand me down comfortable pair of silver leather platform moccasins about a year ago that I actually wear every day. She said they were too flashy for her even though she casually wears 10-inch shoes to go to work. I only wear those since I've got them, even though I have so many other beautiful shoes. I love them all but flashy and comfortable is what I am made for :)) sadly.

My issue with the Zodiac signs is that they're so general; I can read through the signs and say "hey, that sounds like me" for all of them.

Which is why (as Ms. Mermaid mentioned) you need to look at your whole birth chart. In reality your whole self is made up of a combinations of planets in signs in houses. For example my chart sits around Taurus and Scorpio and Capricorn so I have characteristics of all three that I identify with. It gets really interesting once you get into the nuts and bolts of astrology.

This video was a long time ago, but I wanted to say you looked absolutely stunning/aesthetically perfect in the trench coat Cancer outfit. I was doing a double take while keeping my eyes on you. I think this is what people think they are getting when they try the "dress for your features" makeover - which you did but I think you looked the best here. The aquarius (also the birth chart showed that the aquarius was intercepted in your first house, so I'm not sure if the astrology expert used a different system to say it was on the cusp) also looked really good like it matched you, though. I think the Cancer one looked like you too, but you looked more comfortable captured by the aquarius look. I agree the funky on funky made the look. I could easily see you swapping the shoes for birkenstocks or goth platform boots which I think you have. I think the Cancer outfit matched your soft side enough so that it didn't clash, but allowed your stronger features to stand out. Your personality (expression and movements start moving away from the outfit, but it still matches you enough not to clash too much. I still can't get over how stunning you looked. Looking for that for myself! Also all the cancer silhouettes looked good but maybe the eclectic factor could be brought in by changing the patterns. I agree that the patterned legging day pushed it to kind of clash with you since it was too on the preppy side of classic. You have a mix of strong and balanced features, so the clothing should have a mix as well so as not to clash with your appearance. and personality is factored in too when dressing

So true. There's a comic series in Vietnam(where I'm from) called Lớp học mật ngữ where there are characters that represent a zodiac sign. While every character has something cool like hair that is a weapon or a crab on your head, Capricorn is a girl who always wears a basic school uniform and is always "grumpy" and "the monitor" which is IMO the most boring character in the book series

Around the time when that video was posted i was into my new age/zodiac phase and i stumbled upon a video or a website (i don't remember) that expanded on where to go on your birth chart to give off the vibe you want to (for your more emotional self, look at your moon placement ; for sensuality , look at your venus, etc) and it really gave me a better understanding of different zodiacs as archetypes, i would definitely the average cancer (i'm rising) outfit for me to be the grey knit oversized cardigan i wore everyday at that time to be the most cancer thing ever (a bit old fashion to fit in with the family vibes, oversized to fit with the sentitive vibes, knit for that approachable gentle vibe and it's medium grey with a soft palette which echoes the colour of the moon, cancer's assocoated astral body) i would consider classic and timeless to be more of a Capricorn value (i'm capricorn moon, and i'm at a period where i focus on my own mental health) i'd qualify my basic Capricorn outfit to be a noce brown suit (or at least blaser with understated classy clothes underneath) capricorn is no fuss, no nonsense highly business and structure oriented so it goes well with really strict outfits, there is however an aspiration or a value for materialistic wealth and status that mixes well with my academia, old money esthetic, and brown is the color i associate with capricorn, it's simple can be deep or rich looking and oranges and yellows were lonked to intellectual growth and working in my personal witchcraft practice
